    How common is pickled ginger (Gari) at japanese sushi places? Almost every time you get a tray of sushi in america it comes with a serving of pickled ginger, but I've noticed i dont tend to see it much in japan sushi videos.

      @supahsofa 6 месяцев назад +2

      It's common! You just need to select it on a separate page if ordering from conveyor belt or ask for it if they don't give it to you at a regular restaurant. I just went to Japan lol

      It's served together at a fine sushi restaurant but at conveyor belt sushi restaurant we have to order by ourselves👍

    That sushi restaurant looks really nice. I like places in Japan where you can order by tablet, because I dont speak japanese, and so the language barrier is not a problem. I also have been to places where you get a sheet with all the different options, and you can tick the ones you want, and also decide if you want them with or without wasabi. My favorite sushi is definitely everything with tuna. I also like uni a lot. Not a big fan of salmon, and neither of shrimp (which is strange, because otherwise I love shrimp).
    I have tried natto once, and absolutely hated it. I think its the only food that I have eaten in 3 trips to Japan so far, that I really didnt like. The texture, the smell and the taste was disgusting for me. I think that you need to grow up with it, to like it.
    Have you considered doing a video about korean food in shin-okobo ? I think that would be really interesting.

      Thank you for the comment!!
      I hope you love this place!!
      It's really friendly place for tourists because many shop staffs can speak English!!
      You love Uni!! I'm not a big fan of it but I understand it's pretty tasty!! But the greatest one is shrimp😁
      Natto is absolutely strange and unique food only in Japan!! Even for Japanese, some people can't have it because of its taste and texture!!
      But it's really healthy food and once you used to it, it's easy to have Natto😆
      I already posted about street food in Shin-Okubo!!
      It's so much pleasure if you watch it too
