  • I played this album to death when I found it in Nashville at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop (where else could one find steel guitar records / CD's?). I lived on the west coast and made a copy to cassette along with other steel albums to make the LA rush hour drives a bit easier to deal with. Shot is one of the best. Look at the guys backing him - Merle Travis, Charlie Collins, Jack Fleming, Jim Webb. Being a fan of the steel guitar, it was hard to pick a tune and well, I chose one of the classics. Enjoy!

Shot Jackson was my idol drove me home from one of his shows with Donna Darlene in Hamilton Ont. but taught me some over the phone when I lived in N.B. I surprised him when I went back stage and told him I am the one from N.B. now living in Ont. He met members of my family.
