Being totally serious, I have a phobia of polystyrene! Weird, I know... I could sit in the car before as the bag holding the beads didn't give much sound or any feel to them, but when trimming the extra parts off the bag is peeled off - which is when I couldn't cut anymore and had to step away 🤣

Oh I watch a streamer that went there his new. BAC Mono. Basically a road legal F1 car. Yet he got money. He might have to sell one of his Porches he got a few GTR-3's. One auto one manual. And a Ford GT that he will not sell. He had to do the seat mold stuff and well he short like 5'5" so it was worth it for him. He said the foam stuff was interesting and new to him. Yet he doesn't get out much.
@@rickden8362 I'm assuming because it has to be FIA grade and teams probably use only a handful of manufacturers. Real Equipe work with 5 teams to make their seats.
they take the 3D scans of all three drivers and form a common seat based on the maximum space requirements. the two smaller drivers install additional upholstery patches where they need.

The bag they were in really muffled the sound and more importantly it’s feel, whereas later on after it had been carved out that bag was pealed off :)

@@myka4337 I believe SFI spec 45.2 is the appropriate spec. It's a fire retardant spec. a number of seat insert meet this requirement.
