It depends on the contrast of the character. Spider man was used well and played an important role in building marvel continuity while tarantula was kept damped

Marvel has 3 copycats of superman but Hyperion is definitely the number 1 copycat that is based off him then sentry second and lastly gladiator I don't know why Shazam was given for that comparison

Hyperion is basically a copy of superman. Not only Hyperion has the same powers as superman but also the same backstory and weakness (argonite) and sentry is a combination of Thor, Shazam and of course superman

Marvel confirmed in one of their books that the sentry is classified as Marvel Superman. Also, the sentry is inspired by Superman... that's the whole reason he was created in the first place. Why are you guys so hell-bent on saying that sentry isn't marvels Superman? It's not bad.
