I watched and listened to this for three reasons: 1. the food looks insane 2. I miss medellin 3. I'm trying to learn spanish and this helps with my ability to understand what's being said
Watch narcos on Netflix, it’s really good and is 70% in Spanish (one of the main characters is American and only speaks English and broken Spanish). Buena suerte
Colombian accent is one of the very few Spanish accents I actually like. Most of latin american accents are overly or heavily accentuated and annoying lol
I lived in medellín in 2019 and I would frequently go and make the trip down to Envigado to have Héctor's famous perritas! This guy is a real icon, I remember him dancing salsa and singing 'Salchicha con Huevos' whilst serving customers. They are so fuckin good I can't even explain. Pure greasy cheesy salty magic, amazing after a big night of drinking. fuck those were the days.....
Damn, I feel like the subtitles didn't do it justice. A 'perro' is a dog or hot dog. A 'perra' is a female dog. So they call it a perra cause that's a perro(hot dog) without a wiener. They translated it to 'frank' but the joke fails with that translation.
@@sim0nsix where did they explain it? Time stamp? Sorry but I'm not Colombian so somtimes I can't understand when they talk too fast. I have Colombian friends so I could recognize the accent that its Colombian but sometimes its too fast or maybe slang that I cant understand. Thanks for the help in advance.
@@juanmcano4726 I think people misspell Colombia "Columbia" because of the popular coat company we have in the States. Everyone wears Columbia sweatshirts, and ski jackets. I rate my own spelling abilities as excellent, and until recently I spelled that word wrong too. It's similar to the word doughnut. We have dunkin donuts, a coffee shop. Everyone I know spells doughnuts donuts lol.
I am from Medellin and fly through bogota sometimes and always have to go and get a hot dog the best are from Colombia in my opinion street hot dogs with the potato chip bits and mayo with a strip of bacon 🤤 on top so good 🔥🔥🔥🔥I miss it
These episodes that aren't in English and I'm spending half the time missing the subtitles is the same reason I don't care that they aren't in English I want these guys to go out and find something that leaves me completely envious that I'm not going there tomorrow and if I'm lucky I'm going to get a vacation where I can go and stumble trying to communicate just so I can have that experience
I love this ..i been making bacon dogs for years since i was kid i did this but just bacon and bread and slice cheese or what ever i had....i still eat em.but now i have the original to follow
Love it when american channels translate kilos to pounds. Sort of like watching someone translate latin alphabet to early stone age emojis carved into walls.

It's like my saliva floodgates opened while I watched this video. Jesus Christ. I just kept swallowing saliva every 10 seconds. I need some food. Right now.
Question for anybody that has an answer... as a foodie (fat kid) myself, I've noticed that alot of central American street food (including food from many Spanish speaking island nations) use a topping of fried potato sticks on alot of different things like sandwiches and hot dogs and I was just wondering, why is this such a popular condiment? Is there a story behind it similar to say the popularity of French fries on sandwiches in Pittsburgh that started so truck drivers could eat everything at the same time while driving?
Chicago: Look at how epic and fattening our hot dogs are!
Columbia: Hold this.
Rockstar Eater Chicago Dog is a salad compared to a Perra
Mmmm love me some Chicago dogs. I want to make these soon though.
Colombia, not Columbia, but your right on your comment.
Lol even though they look strange still looks yummy
It's COLOMBIA, not Columbia

Yes
Matt Lockington nowt wrong with the subs. Think you need specs
My people know what they're doing. Colombians make the best hotdogs!
I'll travel to Colombia* just for that meal right there
You can get these in Montreal, made by newly immigrated Colombians and I can confirm they are DELICIOUS. They put pineapple sauce on them!
