Had some fights back when, sort of thing. Very nice guys, fair even when being ultra competitive, very respectful racers, both....but there's a bit of something a bit more ruthless there with each other. Well by their standards at least.

yeah. I don't get F1 drivers. Why do they make it so easy for the faster car. Alonso and K. Mag where the only ones to put up a fight. Well Bottas did too but he just used the bulldozer technique so that didn't really count. The only good part of the race was the 2 laps K Mag tried to hold off Ricciardo.

It's true, the top 6 are around a second a lap quicker than the others so there isn't much point; this can really only be fixed by the trans becoming closer together in pace

The thing that amazes me about Ricciardo is when he gets within a few seconds of a car, his race engineer doesn't have to tell him how far ahead an opponent is nor how much he is gaining but just who the driver is and he just makes the move stick. Just another reason to be my favourite driver.

darren woods don’t forget about Max if Max didn’t have reliability problems this race it would have gotten a lot more interesting than a straight forward race at the front with Ricciardo overtaking the B competition teams.
Unfortunately that RB can't compete for the championship (thanks Renault) but for me they have the most ''fun'' team. Great overtakes and passionate driving when their car is working and competitive. But most noteworthy; two drivers who not only seem to not despise eachother but seemingly learn from another and push to improve themselves. Mercedes used him to help Lewis win, thus greatly compromising Valtteri's race. Obviously the contact with Ricciardo was his fault, but he should still race for it. Even if he gave back the position he would have received a 10 second penalty, its not a "gain an advantage" penalty it's a "dangerous driving" penalty so giving back the podium wouldn't have negated that. I think he was right in continuing to fight for 4th.

Even Christian horner predicted it over the radio interview as it was happening! It was obvious that with a broken front wing Bottas would definitely go wide in that corner. That's the reason you don't see Danny complain the way he complained about Checo. And just to send home the point, the next lap Danny overtakes Bottas cleanly from the inside.

Defending is risky and it's a lost battle to defend against a top 6 car like Ricciardo's. It's just not worth the risk
