Sir how to know that which activity type to be used for a particular activity.

It depends but majority we use Task dependent activities which have Duration to complete the activity.
We use Start and Finish Milestones for Project Start and Finish activities
Other types can be used based on the requirements.

I don't use MS project as it is no longer relevant in Construction industry and always be avoided.
