There’s a part on menu that says “porção” it’s like an extra small portions of the food that you can order to complete the meal. Usually when they say it’s for 2 people, it’s a meal for 4, so you can order the portions to try the chosen dish. DONT forget to go to Cravinho, near your Airbnb and try the cachaças and the camarão encapotado. And also the Acarajé when in Rio Vermelho. Places do see a beautiful sunset near your Airbnb: - Santo Antônio Além do Carmo - hotel villa Santo Antônio bar/restaurant - Solar do Unhão / MAM
The #1 thing that catches my attention is the white paintings on your arms. What are they? Have I missed anything? The view of that restaurant is nice for sure. So, what is Zamba night? Will the next video show us more about it? Thank you for the video!👍

You will find feijoada almost everywhere you go, it helps a lot when you have some reference. In São Paulo there are many places that you can pay 45 reais for two people and eat an incredible feijoada. Some things about the dish: - It's heavy, we like it heavy. On Wednesdays we eat that for lunch and yes, it's hard to work after lol - It's salty, if it's out of salt, they're doing it wrong - Black beans, always. Meats can vary from place to place, the most traditional have many parts of the pork, but many people prefer only with two more basic types of meat (sausage and jabá) - Usually in São Paulo they serve the dish with some sort of braised kale, banana and after you eat the whole dish you have half peeled orange were you eat directly from the fruit - You can find individual dishes, but usually you have to prepare them in large quantities, it is common for people to divide the portion into 2 or 3 people. Maybe you can try in different places, they can be very different. Hope it helps, love your videos Bye
Hello guys. If you consider go back to São Paulo try to eat our Feijoada. You can choose medium or big and it’s enough for two people. You don’t need to buy two. Here in São Paulo you can find a place where you can have a lunch (Feijoada) and listen to live samba music too. On Saturdays it’s easy to find these restaurants.
A wise suggestion for you guys would be to ask your channel audience for local people to be free tour guides; they will show you the best places to go (people who speak minimal english). They will show you good places to stay and eat well and cheaply. Brazilian hospitality (legendary) is unparalleled in the world, Brazilians are known for having open arms to receive foreigners, including for stays in their own homes. The poorer a person is, the more hospitable he will be, even the rich do it (but not so much). Brazilians in general would love to guide you (for free) on a tour of their cities.
Hey guys i'm loving your videos!! After visiting the North and Northeast of the country, try going South, especially Iguazu Falls, it's one of the world's seven natural wonders...
That is such a informative video about Salvador in Bahia, Brazil. Thanks a lot. Big fan here. Abraços from the North Coast of the State of São Paulo. If you ever can, please visit Poços de Caldas in the State of Minas Gerais. This cozy small town is built inside the largest volcanic cauldron on the planet, that is 1.300 meters (4,279 feet) above the sea level. Poços de Caldas is the only city out of Europe to be member of European Circuit of Hydro-thermal Cities. Poços is peaceful and safe.
@@Eu-bm3dx Hi Paulo, try to put Feijoada in Google and you'll see it made with back beans. But, I understand that there are variances in the recipes depending where it is done. But, I'm not lying. ;-)

You should have eaten feijoada in Rio. It comes with cabbage, black beans, separated orange to help digestion and farofa. This was not farofa, it was just flour without specific seasonings.
It’s so fascinate look the Brasil with the your eyes! You have to come others cities of northeast, like Maceió (Antunes and Maragogi are so beautiful beaches), Recife (near of Recife there is the famous beach Porto de Galinhas), João Pessoa, Natal, Fortaleza, Jericoacoara, São Luís do Maranhão.
Se não foram a MG realmente perderam a oportunidade de saborear a melhor culinária do Brasil. Tive o privilégio de ser neto de uma mineira, que ensinou à minha mãe as delicias daquela terra.
When traveling to other Brazilian cities like Salvador, belo horizonte, Florianopolis, curitiba.... any city actually, you could try to find a "boteco" that sells food (it's usually a place for cheap drinks but the ones that dont sell food are frequented by drunkards), they usually sell cheap typical Brazilian food that you could describe as "soulfood". "Rodizio" and "self-service" (like a buffet) are pretty good too, cheap but usually with great food and you can taste lots of different dishes. In those places you can order a "prato feito" (or PF) it's like the day's special, usually very full with lots of food and very cheap. I'm just saying this because it really seems, by your videos, that you two are living on caipirinhas and snacks, you aren't really enjoying our wonderful cuisine, and all of the options I mentioned are usually cheaper than eating just snacks like coxinha. We Brazilians usually have lunch and dinner with bean and rice, but you still should try it, there's many fulfilling dishes that you can eat without rice and beans or just with rice, like "vaca atolada", "baião de dois", "bobó de camarao", "moqueca de peixe", "panqueca", "chuleta", "escondidinho", "galinhada", "frango com quiabo", "arroz carreteiro", "feijão tropeiro", "sarapatel", "mocoto", "feijao de corda", "buchada", "jaba", the good old "feijoada", all our different "caldos", all our different cuts of meat grilled or "churrasco"....... there's so much more than coxinha, pao de queijo and acai, brazil is huge, every state has their preferences, but there's so, so much more than snacks. Btw, I'm commenting this in every video of yours until you notice it.
First of all, great trip and it's very nice to see what foreign people think about our places.. Even for us who lives here, are too many places to visit, many regions and cultures. But yes, I think the two person only dish it's what we call "preguiça" = laziness.. It's hard to make smaller portion.. Ahh a litte tip, ask options before get into touristic places.. Here it's common have higer prices in that places, and normally it's not the best of. So, always have folks to get over you, but also have ones to help.. Feel free to ask to you followers. You are nice people and very welcome. Thanks for sharing your trip with us
Even so, our economic are not going well. This pandemic made our currency goes down, so it's the best time for who having USD. For us, each dollar means much.. The minimum salary here it's R$ 1045, like R$ 12540 a year, in dollar it's about $ 2449 a year.. Of course, not all makes that, have ones that make much more and ones that makes less than that. Believe, has a portion of population that maks much much less.

Hey ! Just started watching your videos. And I love it! I was born in Brazil but moved to US when I was a teenager, so needless to say I have never seen most of those places. Thx for sharing your journey 🙂
Also, if you're looking for a good sunset view, there's the "Cafélier". It fills up pretty fast though, so I sugest either arriving early or calling to see if they make reservations. It's basically a Café with a really good view of the sea. Not that cheap though...
Bem vindo a minha Bahia, muito Axé ✌️
Nice to eat outside under an umbrella overlooking the water. It's definately too cold to sit in an outdoor restaurant this time of year in Minnesotta.
Loving ur trip
Since u r in salvador u guys should try chapada Diamantina that is really close to the capital. However the park is crazily enormous and u wont visit all the spots, so I recommend the Buracão's fall, it is a great place
Usually when they charge for person it's a refill kind of dish, meaning if you eat all of it you can order for more without paying more for it.
You MUST TO GO TO A CHURRASCARIA. It's the most traditional meat restaurant of BRAZIL, it's a all you can eat meat, salads and sometimes pasta, all inclusive.
Parabéns! Está tudo muito lindo ! So much love. Congratulation fron brazil. 🇧🇷
I live in Salvador and I love watching your videos
Mmm.. that food looks good...also, how cute, the pooch with the sunglasses! 😂
Thanks guys, I love all your videos. Two of my favorite cities Rio and Bahia 😭😭❤️❤️🥰🥰
Music 04:20 homenagem banda "Roupa nova"
Maratonando a playlist Brasil!! Vocês são demais. Parabéns
I'm loving your videos. I'm from Bahia and I don't really know Salvador or even Brazil like you guys are doing. You're not afraid to try different things and different food. Very cool! 😊😊
Very nice video. Beautiful and colorful city. I wonder why usually only Tuesdays and Saturdays for feijoada.
the paint design is really sweet. lots of nice tourist shops. love the waterfront restaurant...super cool.
Try Acarajé! Is a traditional street food in Bahia, is so good...
you guys should visit Lençóis Maranhenses, but go in February. it's one of the most beautiful places in Brazil
Muito bom vcs são D+++ parabéns
In the city of Salvador it is very worthwhile to eat seafood. Acarajé, prawn bobó, and moqueca, e translation " pelourinho"
O que gostei quando fui a Salvador foi a Ilha do Frades... praia maravilhosa!!! Lugar lindo e encantador!
Ilha dos Frades*🏖🏝
Try ACARAJÉ, dont miss !!
Make sure you guys take a hole tour across the northeast! Some places to know: jericoacoara, maragogi, morro de sao paulo, maceió, fernando de noronha (just by plane)
Hello guys! I love your vídeos. I have some tips for you. You should visit Pernambuco State. It is close to Bahia. In that State there is the best Beach of Brasil, It is Porto de Galinhas. Other good historic city to visit is Olinda. I know you will love it.
Places do see a beautiful sunset near your Airbnb:
- Santo Antônio Além do Carmo - hotel villa Santo Antônio bar/restaurant
- Solar do Unhão / MAM
Please dont forget the acaraje!!!
Its delicious !!!!
The #1 thing that catches my attention is the white paintings on your arms. What are they? Have I missed anything? The view of that restaurant is nice for sure. So, what is Zamba night? Will the next video show us more about it? Thank you for the video!👍
You have to try Acarajé!
Kkkk
Boa viagem!!!
Praia do forte é muito linda
There is a museum inside the lighthouse,it's cheap and the view it's beautiful
You will find feijoada almost everywhere you go, it helps a lot when you have some reference. In São Paulo there are many places that you can pay 45 reais for two people and eat an incredible feijoada.
Some things about the dish:
- It's heavy, we like it heavy. On Wednesdays we eat that for lunch and yes, it's hard to work after lol
- It's salty, if it's out of salt, they're doing it wrong
- Black beans, always. Meats can vary from place to place, the most traditional have many parts of the pork, but many people prefer only with two more basic types of meat (sausage and jabá)
- Usually in São Paulo they serve the dish with some sort of braised kale, banana and after you eat the whole dish you have half peeled orange
were you eat directly from the fruit
- You can find individual dishes, but usually you have to prepare them in large quantities, it is common for people to divide the portion into 2 or 3 people.
Maybe you can try in different places, they can be very different.
Hope it helps, love your videos
Bye
Em minha opinião a melhor feijoada do Brasil se come em São Paulo.
E da mesma forma você encontra esses valores aqui.
www.sobrevivaemsaopaulo.com.br/2018/04/onde-comer-a-feijoada-em-sao-paulo/
Nao tinha feijao preto na feijoada deles? Que isso Bahia?
I agree.
I'm obsessed with your videos. It's wonderful and fun to watch 😃
You should go to Chapada Diamantina - BAHIA
Hey guys i'm loving your videos!! After visiting the North and Northeast of the country, try going South, especially Iguazu Falls, it's one of the world's seven natural wonders...
That a look at “praia do forte” it’s near Salvador.., a beautiful beach where you can visit “projeto Tamar”, a marine turtle project...
So cute how they suport the local... Kisses from a Brazillian! hahaha

Ty two for traveling and giving us some sunshine.
The traditional Feijoada is made with black beans and is more common in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Para de mentir, hahaaaa....
Está na Bahia! Comeu mais que a tradicional e original feijoada brasileira!
@@Eu-bm3dx Hi Paulo, try to put Feijoada in Google and you'll see it made with back beans.
But, I understand that there are variances in the recipes depending where it is done. But, I'm not lying. ;-)
and Minas Gerais!

Hey guys, younneed to go to the north coast beaches, like Villas do Atlântico, check when is the lower tide, and you ll find natural pools in these beach. Mus see
The song playing at 4:37 Is Called "Volta Pra Mim", by the Brazilian band/group "Roupa Nova". The lead singer died last week of Covid.
My heart hurts 💔 😞
Sorry to hear that. I love Brazilian music. An amazing country for music and culture. How old was the singer?
@@benajminpadilla6360 He was 68 years old :/
@@Mia-ju6hp Wow. He was in the most adversely effected age group. Although, anyone can get it. Thanks.
You should have eaten feijoada in Rio. It comes with cabbage, black beans, separated orange to help digestion and farofa. This was not farofa, it was just flour without specific seasonings.
Vocês estão em Salvador, tem que comer a comida típica que é o ACARAJÈ
It’s so fascinate look the Brasil with the your eyes! You have to come others cities of northeast, like Maceió (Antunes and Maragogi are so beautiful beaches), Recife (near of Recife there is the famous beach Porto de Galinhas), João Pessoa, Natal, Fortaleza, Jericoacoara, São Luís do Maranhão.
Your dish reminds me of French Cassoulet.
Here we call cassoulet the french feijoada
There is where the feijoada also derrives from...
You really should visit Florianopolis island, south of Brazil. Very nice places, dunes and views...
Visita recife,Olinda
Yes, Olinda is a nice place for them to visit.
Muito bom seus vídeos.
Great video. You should go to Belo Horizonte and then Ouro Preto. The best food in Brazil. See ya!
Se não foram a MG realmente perderam a oportunidade de saborear a melhor culinária do Brasil. Tive o privilégio de ser neto de uma mineira, que ensinou à minha mãe as delicias daquela terra.
You guys, have to check Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais State, you’ll love de architecture, the food and all more
When traveling to other Brazilian cities like Salvador, belo horizonte, Florianopolis, curitiba.... any city actually, you could try to find a "boteco" that sells food (it's usually a place for cheap drinks but the ones that dont sell food are frequented by drunkards), they usually sell cheap typical Brazilian food that you could describe as "soulfood".
"Prato feito" or "Prato executivo", it's the same.
Saturday go to JAM in MAM (Museu de Arte Moderna - modern art museum) in Solar do Unhão, Salvador. Nice jazz and beautiful sundown.
Alex looks like Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad).
He also looks like James McAvoy
Lol yes - a healthy Jesse 😆
Hello! Welcome to Salvador. If you want know another places, i'm avaliable to say.
Try melancia juice you Will like... it's in english water melon...
44:57 1 real was for the small one, I think you gotta the big one. He asked before: 'small, medium or big'?
When you tried to buy a coconut for 1 real, at 4:54 min, the vendor asked you "small, medium or large", refering to the size of the fruit. As you got probably the biggest one, it costed 3 reais.
Do you guys still in Salvador? I'm going to Salvador on Christmas and I would like to see you guys and take a picture!
Btw: feijoada is one of the best foods of this world (in my opinion) haha
I’m sorry by the time Christmas comes we won’t be here, enjoy your trip!!
@@lindseyfw2903 But thank you anyway, you guys are amazing! Thank you for share the trip with us!
you HAVE to try “caruru e vatapá”!!!!! it’s a bahia dish and it’s sooooo good, it usually comes with chicken
Visit Recife, Olinda, Natal & Fortaleza.
We plan to!
I'm Brazilian and I'm watching your videos and I'm really enjoying it, now I tell you: YOU NEED TO VISIT SOUTHERN BRAZIL ALSO, there are amazing places, cities like Balneario Camboriú, Florianópolis, Gramado... Hugs!
Try couchsurfing meetings to make friends in the places
Aos 4:20 Roupa Nova, música linda que Paulinho cantava, que Deus o tenha em um bom lugar 🙏🙏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
