Your mention of being a great procrastinator resonates with me. As an "office supply junkie" I had to give up personal planners early in my medical training as I found I wanted to play with perfecting my planner rather than studying. Thank goodness Palm Pilots came out about then. I could only enter important information that I HAD to keep track of - I couldn't decorate, color code, sticker, etc. I think some of us are too in love with the process to use it effectively. I even can't help myself from watching these filofax videos as a treat every now and then even though I know I don't dare own one.
Brilliant video, I'm also a mum, wife and studying at uni I will soon be going into my fourth yr and have tried all sorts of planners, I've been looking at A5 Filofaxes to help with planning my work for dissertation, portfolios, course work and exams...... you have convinced me this is the way forward to gain some control over my hectic schedule! Thank you X
This is so helpful! I had seen the video a while ago but I'm so happy I found it again. I also struggle with procrastination and I think I'll start using a tracker like yours for my study hours. I think it'll work for making myself accountable for that. I've found out that whenever I make myself accountable I manage procrastination a lot better. It's harder for me to waste my time if I know I'll have to input that waste in the tracker. Thank you for that idea!! I think I'll also try calculating my grades as you do to motivate me even further. Thank you so much. I loved it! I hope you keep doing videos like these.
I think I love you!! This is the first video that I have seen of yours but you have helped me enormously, I have spent most of today going back and forth about using a paper planner vs electronic and on and on and on. You just solved it for me. THANK YOU!!
I organise my uni life in a similar was to this but using iCal and then marking everything into my Erin Condren planner. I always have other students ask how I juggle uni, kids, hubby and work and still have time to socialise and I put it down to being organised and sticking to my plan as much as possible . I am setting up a filofax style planner to use for uni this year and I am loving your pages for study tracking. I have made up some that are similar using excel and can't wait to start using them, I can't believe I am wishing that the session would hurry up and start already haha.
I saw this video years ago and really liked it! I'm going back to school this fall, and the class I'm taking is very, very heavy on independent study (it's a full time class, but only has a few days of lectures per month). I'll definitely need to incorporate something like your study time tracker to hold myself accountable so I don't fall behind!!
Very helpful video!! I'm a student and it's hard for me to stay focused for long periods of time so I find your setup really helpful, thanks for uploading it, it gave me good ideas:) I was thinking that maybe DIY Fish inserts can be helpful for you as well :) I'd love to see more videos like this!!
Hello, I have probably watch this video about 100 times already because it has been that helpful to me. I also procrastinate when it comes to studying and I find it hard to stay on task (ADHD) but the methods that you are using to keep yourself on task seems to be quite helpful to you. May I ask what type of paper you are using to create your grid format for your studying schedule?
I want to get closer to you and preserve our contact with the family ties that my father started. How has Anna been? Happy 2023, God bless you and your family.
Found your video very helpful! Just wondering where you managed to get the semester tracker / how did you print it? It's such a great idea to keep track of what you need to be doing each week!
Great Video! Sorry if this was asked already (or if I missed it in the video), but where did you get that semester tracker - the first one in your university section? It's a brilliant idea!!!
