  • During #onebookdec I've been using a compact Filofax for my Bullet Journal & Wallet. So far it's working very well and I plan to take this system into 2016, but in a regular personal size.

    Thanks so much for these ideas. I love your new intro! Let us know how it is going and give the dogs a pet, they were remarkably quiet during your video taping : ).Julia_Elizabeth

    Those calendar tabs are 99p on ebay from china. but do take 30 days to be delivered , I have 2015 ones that haven't used.

      The ones I found on Etsy are a printable download, I think they were only about £1.50.

    thank you for this inspired video :) I started my new Filofax last week, been doing bullet journaling for 2 years so its nicei can still use it in my Filofax. xx

      It fits well in the Filofax I think. Perhaps better than a bound book.

      yes I have always used notebooks but never need them after as its just tasks and not like a journal diary type so its pointless use after so now using it in my Filofax I can just throw the pages away after. thanks xx

    I'm stuck. I use a Filofax personal planner for everything but I've had to section the back for art work. I can't use a separate book as it just doesn't work, so for now, I have a split Filofax :/

      I have used loose leaf paper and also a field notes in the back

    This is a great setup. Very simple and streamlined.

      I really want to keep it like that. Even though I'm moving up to a personal from the compact, that's purely to accommodate more collection pages. Not addition 'stuff'.

    Where did you get those amazing mini stencils?

      The green/orange etc? They’re the Hobonichi stencils.

    I've done this a few times... as I am still totally in love with my personal size Filofax Floral Burst... but, I am so guiltiy of setting up the back of the binder into sections. Right now I am testing out a personal size traveler's notebook. We'll see if it makes it into the new year!

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  8 лет назад

      I hate sections, I find them too restrictive. I prefer temporary tabs and flags that show me what's important right now. Lord knows, I have enough of them to use up!

    Love this! Thank you you for sharing your set-up. Kids in and out while I was watching so I don't know if I missed it, but where do you keep your money and change?

    • @RhomanysRealm

      Paper money goes in the long pocket behind my cards. Change I just chuck in the bottom of my bag for bus money.

    Awesome video - I got 2 FF fox Christmas and now have some guidance on how to set up my bullet journal for the coming year - btw I LOVE the nail polish - where did you get it? Thanks for sharing all of your ideas - keep those videos coming!

      It's not polish, it's some nail stickers I picked up as an add on item in amazon.

    Is a bullet journal the same as a personal size journal? I'm new at this sort of thing, and so I have what would be considered a personal size journal, only over here in the USA I think we call them Day Runners.

    this is why i will always be a rings girl (for my planner). i was able to move 2015 out and 2016 in and still have all my notes and lists nicely organized in my a-z section. i even left the monthly december pages in just because i tend to need to refer to the previous month. something i wouldn't be able to do in a bound system. i love my bound books for journaling but i need the ability to move things around and take out what isn't working without disturbing the rest of the system. tfs!

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  8 лет назад

      Yes, that's why I love my Filofax. And despite moving around from one size to another I do have one on the go most of the time.

    You almost have me wanting to dig out my old pocket-sized Filofax - but I'm still too attached to my Midori Passport. That said, I use the separate inserts like you use the major sections of your Filofax - I like that each insert has its own "pace", so my collections can stay in there long-term whilst diary and todo lists get replaced as they're used up.

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  8 лет назад

      Yes, that was another option for me too, but in my standard size.

  • @Organisedvicar
    @Organisedvicar 8 лет назад

    Great video, thanks. I use a similar system since moving from my TN back to rings in December. I hadn't thought of cutting up my no.19 midori notebook so found similar inserts for download on etsy. Its a system that has worked for me so wonderful to see how this works for you. Happy new year!

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  8 лет назад

      I really love the Midori paper. So the sacrifice was made!

    • @Organisedvicar
      @Organisedvicar 8 лет назад

      Hahaha, completely understand! I'm the same. Have no idea why I didn't even think of it.

      +Organisedvicar The wastage of an inch hurts. But with a bit of temporary glue you can turn the offcuts into sticky notes ;)

    Hi Rhomany,
    This is a great video for change over. I have been struggling terrible with my planners because of this issue. I think this idea will work great for me, so I am going use it. ☺️ one question, could you place the second sheet, example: RUclips 2 on top of the first sheet? Both would then be together for easy reference, or am I missing a point your making. Thanks for all the great information 💕

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  6 лет назад

      Yup, you could do it that way. I like to keep mine at the back though so most of the current pages are together. I go through sheets pretty quickly.

      I love the bullet journal concept, but I keep a lot of notes I need to refer back to. I do wonder how quickly I'll outgrow even my new one. But we won't know til we try.

    Rhomany! OMG I recently set up my filofax A5 just like this :-D I took a filofax blank sheet, put it adjacent to my weekly view for bullet journaling, AND ordered the same exact black calendar stickers from eBay! I

    I realise this is an old vid, but why not just re-print the page rather than using plastic ghost sticky notes? Paper is recyclable, plastic harms the environment.

  • @bikerbabe2
    @bikerbabe2 8 лет назад

    @RhomanysRealm where do you get the ghost post it notes as I have had a look an various sites and cannot find them

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm  8 лет назад

      My lovely penfriend in Korea sends them to me. You can get coloured ones from Post It brand, as well as clear ones with coloured tabs. I've seen them on Amazon and in UK stationery shops, but not sure where else to look. You could try Asian based stores like AlieExpress and Rilakuma perhaps.
