When u warm up the motor, then the alu of the top expands more than iron which the glow plug is made of and in this way the glow plug is easy to screw up
@@AttilaTheHun333333 exactly , people don’t understand that you cannot warm up the car as the egr system needs to be taken out , and by the time it’s out the engine is cold , you can’t win
Do you speak Lithuanian? Many of the people helping who use silence or music for DIY are often from countries that don't have English as their 1st language. Not ideal for some people but I appreciate the effort to capture and share the video. Many people can't afford to pay for mechanics if there is a chance it can be DIY successfully. I haven't even watched this video yet so I haven't decided to DIY/mechanic yet.
Hello is there any symptoms that the glow plugs are bad, i mean rough engine work on cold start, becouse my 407 2.0 hdi is working very rough and loud when cold when it worms up everything is ok
I'm getting a check engine light on my 307 2.0 HDi with codes 1351 and another one which I can't remember right now. When that happens, I can't use Cruise Control. Weird!
Georgi Georgiev it’s difficult for me to see if there is any unusual smoke from the exhaust when starting from cold. My car is not kept in a garage, so any smoke will disappear into the air. I’m not aware of any power leaks. When I had the codes cleared, and then I started the car when the engine was warm, everything was normal again. No codes, nothing. As soon as I start from cold, the codes reappear.
This was an hell of the job. Bravo👍
Amazing job!Very brave approach to the glow plugs change in limited space! If one would snap off..OMG
Deine Video hat mir geholfen! Danke!

Yeah. How are you gonna do that when you have to remove the whole EGR system?

Hi, was that the EGR you took off?
What socket size is egr that one screw
Could the engine mounts be taken off and the engine tilted forward?
Would have preferred talking us through it instead of music. Nuts.

on the engine block :)
Hello, what key do you use at 18:31?
the motorblock has to be warm, otherwise you damage the glowplug
I noticed he never attempted with a glow plug puller here like he did with the citroen 2.2 glow plugs
what socket size is the glow plug?
10
10mm and the nut to secure electrical connector is 7mm
the only problem I saw! That you use copper paste, it will be problem if you need to change them again.
