People got hip to how bad “straights “ were... Kool , camel , lucky strikes . Old gold , Pall Malls.. chests busters .. that’s what we called them . I was at a wedding a while back and there is this kid smoking Lucky Strikes. Straights I was surprised they even still make them .. “For the man who truly doesn’t care “ 😎

Lost a few too .. yea those unfiltered ones were anything but mild . And you never know my ex brother in law smoked camel straights 60+ years and is still kicking . He did quit finally after having a oxygen tank for a year or two .. crazy I’m still fighting the battle 🚬 but I have only been at em for 8 years.. but still I must give it up ..it is a satisfying habit. A dangerous habit though

@@theoregan4183My father-in-law started smoking Lucky Strike unfiltered smokes when he was 15, and quit 65 years later when he died. He had a hard physical job outdoors though his whole life, maybe that was the difference.
I smoked for 17 years and quit at age 36. At the end when I got sick and had to quit, I smoked Sherman’s, first MCD’s, then for the last few years Sherman Naturals. Cost 3x what regular smokes cost, and worth every penny. I loved the damned things. Nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning and a Sherman! Been 32 years and I still miss them.
