They has a similar number of winners which is what you want in the highlights not double faults and unforced errors.
Andreeva had 6 break points but did not convert and the point score was 63 to 43 a solid win but still competitive.
The key stat was Andreeva had heaps of unforced errors. She had even more than in the 3 sets she played against Sabalenka so this was an unusual change from her normally consistent game. Paolini's defence could partly explain it but also she overplayed and made too many errors.

This is a big story. A 28-year-old who, up to about a year ago, was solidly considered only a mid-level player with little potential for more than limited success on the bigger stages. But besides her obvious determination and competitive spark, Jasmine has become more precise in her defensive play, much smarter in her return strategies, has increased the pace on her forehand and rarely double faults on her very reliable serve. She's a little bit of a pusher but not at all a pushover! And, at 5'4", she is striking a serious blow for the shorter ladies. She will be a huge underdog to Iga but nothing is a given. If you can beat Rybakina, you can beat most anyone. Go, Jasmine!!!

What happened that young ppl dream only about becoming influencers? Those quick-insta-fake-fame celebs make sick money by sharing their vanity with the world and destroy self-esteem of others. Great tournament for Andreeva. Areal confidence boost. Perhaps fortunate at this stage she avoided the final. You can see she has great stature for the game and as she matures she can only improve. Congrads Paolini and Italian tennis.

Looking at the stats from the matches, it looked like Paolini did a good job of keeping the ball in play with few errors. Both Andreeva and Rybakina made A LOT of unforced errors and kind of beat themselves.

100% agree with you all about the highlights being too short (and poorly edited). My guess is that RG is very strict about streaming rights so they don’t want to give away too much content for free?

It seems Andreeva just got really nervous, and the enormity of being in the semi-final just got to her. Not to say that Paolini is an ordinary player (congrats!), but I see this as Mirra's stepping stone tp great things in the future. This just reminded me of Steffi falling to Navratilova at Wimbledon in 1987, before she went to win the next year, and became the great that she is.
