In the world of blues performers, I don’t think there could be a more dynamic pairing. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Beth, and like you said, her stage presence is incredible. One of the most engaging personalities I’ve ever known. They are the modern day King and Queen Of The Blues.

I'm glad you mentioned Beth's stage presence and interaction during the guitar solo. I've always been impressed by how clear it is in any performance to see what a big fan she is of the fellow musicians sharing the stage and how easily and naturally she interacts with the audience. If you haven't already reacted to it, one of the best examples I've seen is the performance of her original, 'Am I the One', live at Paradiso. This was when she was fresh from rehab and her gratitude to her fans for continuing to support her was overflowing. An all-time performance.

One of the best singers out there. Would love to see her perform. She has been good
for a long time. Her voice is just amazing. Best singer this country has to offer.

Joe Bonamassa is a musician whom I have a special appreciation for since I did a review for a jazz magazine, when he was only 14 years old! As for Beth, I have had the opportunity to listen to her many times. What can I say? I love them

Beth has a way of crawling into the lyrics of a song and translating it through her voice. She projects the emotion of the lyrics which is something very few vocalists do. Joe is technically brilliant, and in this song plays what feels like the right solo for the song, rather than just shredding.

Hey Jeff. I first encountered these two at a concert in Vancouver. Beth was a guest artist for Joe. That was the first time I heard her sing. On the other hand I’ve been following Joe for years. He has been slammed by some for being overrated because, as you said the blues on guitar relies heavily on the pentatonic scale. Never heard anyone say the BB King or Buddy Guy were overrated. Glad you enjoyed.

Oh, this was a great pick!👍🏼👍🏼🤩😃 Both Beth and Joe are (imo.) 2 incredible power houses in their own right, but together - phew🤯🤯🔥🔥 - 1+1=3****🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤩!
Reminds me of when we went to Hamburg for a concert with Joe Bonamassa years back - what an experience!!!!!💫🌟✨✨🤩👌🏼🥰
Have listened to both Beth & Joe a LOT here, as they both are amongst my husbands favorite artists, and since it’s his Birthday today🥳❤️🇩🇰, the timing couldn’t have been better - thank you!😃😄🥰🤗
    And thank you, Jeff, for a really great reaction/analysis - I agree👌🏼🤩✨🥰

Right, Beth becomes totally absorbed in the music, never stops moving, and is always locked-in 100% of the time. If you really want to see something, try these next:
    1) “Caught Out in The Rain” (from 2018 Royal Albert Hall concert in London; about an unhealthy relationship with a dangerous man): ruclips.net/video/lzdJf7Hqttk/видео.html
    2) “Am I The One” (original song from Beth’s epic 2004 performance at ‘Live at Paradiso’): ruclips.net/video/5Ro191bgp7k/видео.html
    3) “A Change is Gonna Come” (from Beth’s neighborhood night club, the Echoplex in LA in 2010; Sam Cooke cover): ruclips.net/video/QnIL8AKWRNQ/видео.html
    4) “Whole Lotta Love” (from the 2004 ‘Live at Paradiso’ concert in Amsterdam; Zeppelin cover): ruclips.net/video/3UKXP7bAg9A/видео.html
    5) “Skin” (from Dutch TV ‘2 Meter Sessions,’ 1999; about the death of an older sister from AIDS): ruclips.net/video/al-b4wx3f54/видео.html

They burned down that stage! ❤️‍🔥 Joe has no box he plays outside of it. He matched her with making the guitar sing growl gritty. They recorded 3 albums together. If you want another one from them look up I'd rather go blind or Give it everything you got

This is a lesson for producers. A good concept is a good concept, but if there is a bad producer involved, the listener will just hear the sound of disappointment. I like this version of this song, but the original 1959 Bobby Bland recording is just horrible. A key issue I have with the original recording (not his live versions of the song) is that it sounds like somebody brought a backup alarm into the studio. Another poorly produced song that I believe Beth Hart did better was Guilty by Randy Newman. There is no dynamics or believability to the Randy Newman version.

LOL, at first I thought you were saying Beth's version of "Guilty" was poorly produced... Yeah, the Beth's Paradiso performance, like the entire concert, is simply legendary.
