Ivan, this Acolyte Edit Project may be your greatest work yet. You're making these scenes make sense _and_ respect the Lucas / EU Star Wars bodies of work!
The Acolyte is all about making the Jedi Order look like jerks and weaklings. All the while portraying the Sith as powerful and competent. This was purposeful and further fractured the Star Wars Fandom, if they even exist anymore. Glad to see someone recognizing this huge mistake and correcting it.
Too bad you can't change the line "I need the paycheck" to "I need the credits". It's tiny things like that that either pull you into the universe, or kick you out of it. It's also funny that her range of emotions is so limited you can simply take her generic face as a 'reaction' face.
Who says he cant?! We moved a looong way with Ai since his Last Jedi edit, recreating someones voice isnt that hard anymore. Just the question if its worth it!
Great fix as always. So far loving all the changes you're making. Cutting out all this needless boring exposition is good, AND If it means less time seeing these awful Jedi im ALL for it, esp when it comes to Padawan Dumbo(BIG EARS) lol Im also glad you took out all the Neimoidians speach. I mean I dunno if its just me, but I just cant stand hearing them talk now. Ever since they changed it from the traditional/sterotypical asian speach pattern/accent that we had in TFM, it just doesnt sound right to me. I mean dont get me wrong, I love the Trade Federation but like you said, they were pointless cameos that added NOTHING. CLEARLY LH only brought them back for the memberberries. Cant wait to see what you do next, keep up the great work

I started working on my own edit right after the release of the first two episodes, and I have to say. I changed this section almost frame by fram exactly as you did 😂. Except for the music, I have not done anything with that yet. Tough I did loose hope a bit now that the whole season is out. I don't really know how to make anything reasonable out of the entire end of the show. I am still trying to figure out a better story to tell, to make a more satisfying ending. Keep it up! 😊
One of the major problems in my opinion is the scene, where Master Torbin kills himself. Why? I can't imagine to give a reason for it by anything i have seen or heard. So Mae has to kill him herself. How?
In the PT & OT the Jedi/Sith could feel intentions and feelings, they couldn’t read minds or mind-wipe anyone. They couldn’t casually peer into someone’s mind but sense that person was being untruthful or the Force would guide them. Reading minds & mind-wipe is in KoTOR 1 & 2 but only Masters had such ability and wiping required a group of Masters ~ Revan’s mind was wiped by a council of Jedi Masters. Not only does this show flow like a Reddit fanfic that took bits and pieces from much better works and mashed them together because it sounds cool, but it implements such ideas like everyone has them and they’re as normal as blinking. 🤦♂️
What do you expect from someone whos not a real fan. She may have skimmed through some stuff for research purposes n took ideas that she thought was cool, BUT its clear she DIDNT actually fully understand them enough top be able to properly implement them.
TLJ gave you grey hairs, I think working on this show is gonna turn your hair completely white! I salute you for your efforts and wish you well with editing that mess of a show.

What do you expect when you put villainous people like LH in charge. Making the Jedi and the Rebels look like the bad guys has been Disneys plan from the start.
I think there was a lot of mandated 'creative disagreement' reshoot in this series. I think the original intentions was to show the dark side Jedi as lawful evil, like in Kotor 2, and the plot was about a simple detective works to find Mae while OSHA figure out the truth about her mentor. The reshoot mandated to redeem the Jedi and swap OSHA and Mae to soften the plot, many discontinuity error point toward this, resulting in flip flopping of intentions of many character and scenes that fell flat because artist got bored and did the minimum. Evidence: You can tell because the tracker attack Mae as osha, then prevent the Jedi to shot at her and in that sequence you had a legit good cinematic shot of the spaceship pursuing Mae, only for her to talk to pip like she was OSHA despite her not caring about the bot. IMHO the reason for the highly decorated and luxurious Jedi clothes before they got back to monastery style of the cline war saga, was because such event would lead to Yoda reforming the Jedi into something more humble. Problem is when accountant and manager got involve. It got diluted to protect the brand and didn't commit. Resulting in this mess. Imho the mess has interesting ideas and could be more interesting than a straightforward detective series. But execution, execution, execution, it matter. They needed more time to sand the edges, instead of last minute rewrite thar sabotage everything. Also people doing the directing has no feel for Martial art story, that was a problem on Ashoka too. They just used the superficial structure without understanding the heart.
Great fix!!! I haven't watched the series at all cause it's garbage. But your fixes are spot on. Especially using music in key spots to evoke a certain response for the viewer and using it as transitioning to move the story along. Once you're done, I'll watch Ivan Otega's "The Acolyte." Lol
I hope DisDEI makes seasons 1 to 10 of the Crapcolyte, at this point Disney SW is just a machine for laughs 😎🤦♂️🤣.... I just want to see how low they can go in order to destroy what's left of the rotten corpse that SW is....

Shortening this whole exposition is a good start. Maybe a line like "After all you went through before..." could have told us that there's more to expect. Still i'm not sure why the Jedi asking the Captain for Osha should be wrong. It's kind of worldbuilding and it shows the Jedi doing jedi things. Also, it is not wrong asking for her, it is kind of police work. Then, mentioning that Indara might have been responsible for Oshas eviction from the Jedi tells us, that she might have had a motive. I still fear that this are all minor problems.
Around 8:48 cut the Force theme on "I made knight..." the intro you made is good tone, but if you are trying to trim the fat, the music already descended into gloomy hints in the prior moment, and this is his char's 1st dialog- let him speak without the powerful bass/celli because musically that is too overt- like YOU MUST FEEL 'I made knight' IS BAD

He's gonna need AI to completely change the acting. This show is too far gone to find something worth saving lol

Have you ever tried creating new lines of dialog with AI ? Could be useful for small parts and helping justify some characters decisions

Sorry, but no matter how hard you try, you JUST CANNOT FIX this terrible show, its problems lie far deeper than just editing.
There is plenty to fix to make it feel a better story.
And just editing cant do that, it needs a COMPLETE rewrite, and multiple scenes need to be re filmed, on top of the editing that needs ro be done.
I have to agree on this statement but that being said Ortego is showing how bad the edit was done.
