Happy Sunday! Ordered my painterly paints - can’t wait till they arrive! Making this weekend my creative weekend - took 2 really nice white shirts that had white embroidery on them and painted them - they turned out beautifully! One had circles(used Carnival Red) and one had dragonflies (used Salty Kiss) but you couldn’t see them when they were white! Learning my new sewing machine….have destroyed my house but that’s the creative process! Got to thinking how long I have been watching your videos so I went back in time….I watched your old HGTV tryout video….so it’s been a LONG time! You have really had a fun and beautiful time with lots of challenges and your Dad has been your biggest supporter! Love, hugs, and kisses to all of you and the fur babies as you enter your last year in your 50s and enjoy 2025!
I love petticoat pink...😁. And I just picked up my box of painterly and the seahorse mold last week at the post office. Midtown Marketplace in Carson City NV just got in a bunch of new paint, including the new colors, so I'll get some of those after the first. I've had a booth at MidTown Marketplace since August. I make a lot of stuff, plus upcycle. It's quite the experience trying to find a sweet spot as to what will sell. My crocheted items are not selling like I had hoped, but some are and that is rewarding. Seems the clientele and I have fairly different tastes. December has been my best month yet. It will more than cover January's rent. January ain't looking so good. I really appreciate your videos, teaching, supplies, advice! Happy New year to you and the family. 😘💞💝

Debi if you want paint to come off with no chemicals. Buy the yellow scrubbies with green on the other side. On the green side add dawn dish soap and scrub your hands where the paint is it will come off and your nail polish will even stay on.

You would not believe what thrift stores in my area charge for those old school globes. $30-$40 dollars and they haven't enhanced them in anyway. So, hard to believe you are at the 25 year mark, but congratulations. I love all your videos and some of my favourites are the oldest ones. Here's to another 25 years 🍾.

I know you didn't want to sand the dresser, would a paint scraper work to remove some of that old finish? What a colourful dresser. Love the transfers.

A fun texture technique is wrapping a paint roller with string very tight, it will give almost a denim texture to start wrap over a folded piece of the string - no glue, at the end make a loop of separate piece of string wrap over that loop then at the end of the roller pull the last wrap of string trough the loop and it's finished again no glue. Can do that with embroidery thread for lots of color on a handle or anything.
I Love you Debi, but I’ve got to tell you girl-many people don’t realize this, but when we were born and completed our first year of life, we turned “one” and just like every year after. Since you turned 59 this fall, this is your 60th year once you complete it, and turn “60” this fall! I pray it is your best year yet 🩵

Hi Debi...im wondering if i have a piece already painted with regular waterbase paint, would i need to use sealer b4 applying transfers?😊PS i love the sticker desk table you painted and transferred- you are such an inspiration❤
Most likely you will be fine without a sealer it depends on the consistency of the paint. I would do a little test if the transfer glides on easily then all is good. Each piece of furniture comes with a history and you never know what you’re gonna get it’s kind of like going on a blind date. You don’t know what kind of baggage and history is coming with your date/furniture each one is different.

A heat gun is great for removing stickers and paint. I love your store. If I lived near there I would be there all the time.
