In my oppinion, District 5.China town is one of the most interesting places in Saigon . There are many markets out here. Every market sell a certain things. There are fabric market, chemical market, clothes market, plastic market, motorcycle accessories market.... There are many Chinese restaurents. You can also hang out at vibrant latern street at Mid Autumn festival.
Hey Skye, I like this video and I learnt so many different places that I don’t know about. Công cafe is my fav too. Good vibes and drinks. They even gave me free sunflower seeds for my chamomile tea ❤
I went to Pho Vietnam and there they have beef Pho that you cook like your own personal hot pot. Although this place is more in the way as opposed to out of the way.
The price is cheap but relative to what we make in the west. Average wage earner in Vietnam might not afford to drink the same coffee very often like 3 times a week.
Perfect youtube video. I love fun youtube how it was intended. The vlog had locals and interviews but also had you going to the cool spots. Makes Saigon look fun but anyone who hasnt been do many research to find good cafes and restaurant. Avoid Thao Dien. No one needs to go there. District 7 looks cool but i havent gotten there yet. My advice when visitng Vietnam if your just visiting is dont stay too long in big city. Visit Da Lat and Nha Trang together, then get down to Can Tho and view all the mekong delights. Thats just the south side of a fantastic country.
@skyetran yes but i just need to warn you. Da Nang is really so amazing. Once you live there for a bit you wont be able to go anywhere else. Its the best place ever
Bui Vien is where I go to hand out cash to random street vendors. I feel sorry for some of the old grandma and little kids selling random items to make a living. I saw this old granny was falling asleep at her vendor stand. Gave her a good amount of cash and told her to go home and rest. And several children crowded me to purchase hand made bracelets and small items. I just gave them the cash and told them to keep the item for themselves. Overall, just a noisy place to walk by just to walk off after dinner.
@skyetran yes and the cafes themeselves are amazing. I like your style i think you would rather mix with locals rather than foreignors. There is a famous movie in Vietnam called MAT BIEC. Beautiful movie i cried lol but there is a cafe they filmed in Hue on the river. Its so authentic and has so much character. In,Da Nang they have foreignors area with modern cafe with amazing coffee too but go on to the city side and there is also the local beach which i have only ever been the other foreignors on hahaha but thats where my favourite cafes are. Hoi An does amazing coconut coffee too. Coconut coffee i found super hard to find in Saigon and nornally not as we have in central. The food in central is amazing and its nornally better prices as well. In Hoi an try Cao Lau (only place to find in Vietnam) Da Nang have banh xeo, banh beo and my favourite Mu Quang In Hue of course have Bun Bo Hue and there is this pork dish with eggs so sorry i have forgotten the name but it could be a favourite for us westerners hahaha They dont use as much salt and sugar in the rest of the country so it such a nice feeling after eating.
@skyetran have you ever tried ca phe dua (coconut coffee) Go to Son Tra beach and pick a stand there and its really ice creamy smooth coffee there and can take down to the beach. Its cool to go into the city, THE THIRD HOUSE is not far from the Vietnam Airlines office and kind of main road and 5 metres down an alleyway but ca phe muoi is so good there. Kims Garden is a wonderful cafe with a super helpful boss who speaks great English Theres also the foreigner area which isnt really my scene but theres many super cool super chilled and quiet cafes in My An area or An Thuong area.

Not only the food sometimes it's amazed me how as a Vietnamese I do have not as much idea about my country as those guy.
cám ơn bạn đã cho lời khuyên. Bạn có nghĩ thêm phụ đề tiếng Việt để người Việt hiểu video sẽ tốt hơn không? Tiếng Việt của tôi không giỏi nhất nhưng tôi đang học
so hadilao is trash because the broth they are only uses cube seasoning from the factory they do not make the broth with bone and stuff all of the fish balls and fake meat they use are low-end in Vietnamese people's eyes, all frozen meat, not a fan, Only my young sibling like it not for me taste super Chinese not have any flavor at all.

noway you can find that's bún bò huế place in small ally.
a hidden gem
That was a good price.
My favourite bun bo,hue in Da Nang was 35 000 and Dac Biet was 50 000. Hay qua
Yum! would you remember where it’s at & share the location?
@skyetran yes but i just need to warn you. Da Nang is really so amazing. Once you live there for a bit you wont be able to go anywhere else. Its the best place ever
fun fact the king of beef noodles is Bún Bò Huế, not Phở :).
But I guess Pho is easy for Westerners because it doesn't
have fermented shrimp paste.
I don't like shrimp paste but I still eat bun bo hue. Bun Rieu has shrimp paste in it too and I eat it too .

Tôi thích ăn món phở
If you like ca phe muoi in Saigon you wont believe how incredibly amazing central Vietnamese coffee is
Ca phe muoi is my go to!! Now I’m adding central VN to my travel list. Although I’m not too familiar with that region

If you give saigon coffee 10/10 Central Vietnam coffee is 20/10 or 30/10 lol. You wont believe how perfect ks
I haven’t been to central Vietnam yet…is there a particular place or cafe in central VN you recommend?
