What a fantastic question at 18:24 - 19:03! I'm hard-of-hearing, yet I play clarinet... I'm also a professional photographer and the question you asked is very relatable to photography, more specific to low light shoe flash event photography (such as receptions, halls, clubs). I have to set my camera and flash values (manual shooting of course) differently to the different places I shoot at, and I can relate your question to this... meaning; as a hard-of-hearing (80% loss since birth) clarinet player, I can understand this type of sound related question.
