Copenhagen CHANGING OF THE GUARD Ceremony at Amalienborg Royal Palace - King´s Guard or Livgarden

Not to be missed when visiting Copenhagen, Denmark is the daily Changing of the King´s Guard at the Amalienborg Royal Palace located in ventral Copenhagen not far from the Nyhavn Canal or Little Mermaid attractions. The changing of the guard takes place at Amalienborg Palace daily at 12 Noon to the delight of both locals and tourists.
Every day, the ceremony begins at Rosenborg Castle at 11:30, where the guard departs. They then proceed to Amalienborg Palace to commence the ceremony at noon. If the Monarch is in residence at the palace, the Royal Guards music band accompanies the guard during the procession (this was the case when this video was filmed). This type of Guard is called Kongevagt (King's Watch).
The other Changing of the Guard types you may encounter are:
- Løjtnantsvagt (Lieutenant Watch) - The Royal Guards are accompanied by flutes and drums.
- Palævagt (Manor Watch) - When the Amalienborg Palace is uninhabited the Guards march through Copenhagen without musical accompaniment.

The King’s Guard
The duty of the King’s Guard is to keep watch at Amalienborg. Every day of the year, the guards stand watch for 24 hours at a time from 12:00 to 12:00 the next day. A King’s Guard parade consists of The Band of The Royal Life Guard followed by The Royal Life Guard’s Drum Corps.
Following after them is the sentry command itself, which consists of the Commander of the Sentry Command, who has control over the entire parade, then 36 guards and, finally, the Second-in-Command of the watch." source: Danish Royal House

Hey ive seen uve travelled with Thai airways alot.
