    indeed i think my brother Shamsi he is not successful in his answer to Mr Tony , the question of Tony is - as i understood him - that there is a hypothesis that the cosmos is eternal , and for me the answer be as follows : in the first the belief is by heart and in unseen things , and secondly as we know and as we study with physics that our world ruled by a very strict and accurate rules , so the rules have come before the substances of our world so our world not eternal because its rules have come before it , so it is not the first , and as we see that those rules runs into harmony with each other to create our world so there is no absurdity and therefor there is a purpose . and as we learn in physics how much the rules of our world it is too consistent and ramified so the probability of coincidence its still declining ...

    Nice discussion. Shamsi's debater is real cool, calm, polite and open. Shamsi is a bit patronising in his arguments. This second guy Tony is not rejecting god but only saying that there is no evidence for the presence of a god. He is honest to say that he does not know rather than arrogantly claiming that he knows what he says

A fundamental labelling error on your part, of the single most important axiom a speaker holds with regards to his views on God, displays that you really weren't paying attention to any of the arguments that he actually made.

    Universe is expanding…. Quran says that long time before science….

    • @anonymoose9322
      @anonymoose9322 Год назад +1

      Brother, the field of cosmology is highly speculative and most of the principal assumptions in this field are unverified (or unverifiable). The expansion of the universe is an explanation based on the Big Bang model. And the primary evidence of the Big Bang model lies in assertion that red-shift is exclusively a measurement of velocity and distance. If that assertion is proved wrong, then the entire theory falls flat on its face. And there are numerous inconsistencies within the Big Bang model and there exist dozens of other interpretations for the red-shift. Therefore, if you say the Qur'an says that the universe is expanding, and if that theory is proven to wrong, then the Qur'an would also be wrong. So, brother, we don't try to interpret the Qur'an according to scientific theories as they - by design - change and get updated. But the Qur'an is the perfect and complete word of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى who is All-Knowing, the Most Wise. We give precedence to our texts (i.e, the Qur'an and the Sunnah) over scientific theories as the former is divine in origin and is certain, while the latter is based on limited knowledge, imperfect and most of the time probabilistic and not definite.

      @@anonymoose9322 yeah but expansion of the universe is in the Quran (and sun is moving to a place in time only Allah knows eg. may be what science calls the solar apex) and scientists theorised later about it bringing their evidence about red shift etc. So they didn't say anything wrong.

    @25:00 Shamsi seems to think because he is certain of a thing that it's irrational to argue if you think that thing is in fact uncertain.
    If there were a murder case and Shamsi insisted he knew 100% Bob did it , whilst I looked at what evidence there was and said there is not enough to be certain who killed the person . It is perfectly rational to argue that Shamsi 's certainty is unwarranted .
    Shamsi is basically saying "god did it" for which he actually will not provide any justifications at all , that's simply blind faith , that's not a certainty that can be compelling to anyone who does not already think like him.
    He says with the same kind of certainty that his interlocutor deep down believes he is right , but his interlocutor could say deep down Shamsi knows he is wrong , its just as reasonable .Both claims would be simply projecting you view on your opponent so that you do not have to deal with actually making a case, its pretty ignorant , cowardly , and kind of rude. It's an argument from a human being pretending to be infallible,

    • @anonymoose9322
      @anonymoose9322 Год назад

      Shamsi isn't arguing without any proof, he's basing his argument on universal knowledge, meaning knowledge that is known by necessity or knowledge that you are born with. And there are two things or laws that are known by necessity, one is causality and the other is non-contradiction. For example, if you tap on a child's shoulder, it will look back (causality). And if a child finds his toy that it was looking for, then it will not look for the same toy again (non-contradiction). These laws are ingrained within us from the day we are born. Shamsi is saying that due to the law of causality: That the pattern, function and order we see in all things that came into existence within the universe and within our ownselves, require an Originator that is knowing, wise and powerful. That dependent, needy things which we see around us, all of them require a being external to the sum of them. That what is possible, originated, needy, created requires what is obligatory, eternal, free of need, uncreated. And it couldn't have created itself - due to the law of non-contradiction - since it would've had to exist first in order to create, and there would be no need to create yourself if you're already existed. Moreover, there was a three-year international research project, directed by two academics at the University of Oxford, who found that humans have natural tendencies to believe in gods and an afterlife with experiments done on both adults and children.

      "Shamsi isn't arguing without any proof, he's basing his argument on universal knowledge, meaning knowledge that is known by necessity or knowledge that you are born with. "
      Such as ? I mean we could say knowing how to breath , how to show distress , but what has that got to do with Islam . If you mean the fitrah , well that's just a claim from your religion , when we look around the world its pretty evident that Islam is not "universal" innate knowledge.
      "two things or laws that are known by necessity, one is causality and the other is non-contradiction."
      This is a very vague description of quite high level concepts , you use a child in your examples but there is no reason to expect the child understand these concepts innately in a meaningful way. Yes a child reacts to stimulus , cause and effect, as does a rock to a hammer . Non-contradiction is not illustrated by your example , saying 1 = 2 would be contradictory, saying a young child can innately see this as a contradiction seems a reach.
      "These laws are ingrained within us from the day we are born."
      That's just a claim . How can you discern what is learned behavior from innate , I've offered some examples of innate, but your examples seem just as likely arrived at through experience.
      "That the pattern, function and order we see in all things that came into existence within the universe and within our ownselves, require an Originator that is knowing, wise and powerful. "
      This is full of claims , there is no reason given why I should conclude the uniformity of nature requires your deity . Simply pointing at the world and saying god did that is not compelling , you are appealing to an argument to incredulity .
      "Moreover, there was a three-year international research project, directed by two academics at the University of Oxford, who found that humans have natural tendencies to believe in gods and an afterlife with experiments done on both adults and children."
      Yeah I think I know the study , Christians funded by the Templeton Foundation, I do not even think afterlife was a part of it What you say about it was simply an invention of Islamic propaganda to justify the fitrah , what did the actual lead author Justin Barrett say about his own work
      *"I do not say that religion is "hardwired" or "innate" - rather that children have propensities to believe in gods because of how their minds naturally work.[...] I do not disagree that children have a tendency to trust their parents and other adults - surely this is how children learn about the particular god of their cultural environment "*
      He saying that children's cognitive functioning has propensities which lends itself to be filled with notions like gods, but such notions are not the kids own , or innate , they are taught. Children are not born believing in gods.
      Thanks for the response, you at least have made a tiny effort to justify what you want to say it true. Shamsi made no such effort, and like much of your response it amounts to bare assertions , its your narrative you offer its not reasons to believe your narrative. Which would be fine if you were not trying to persuade people.

      @@tdsdave the universal knowledge of how things are structured. You will never look at a phone and say the particles just came together that way. You will know by very basic intellect that that phone must have a creator. So if you look at the creation on this earth (which is way more complex than a phone) it's basic intellect to know that it also must have a creator.

      @@tdsdave @tdsdave you and every other atheist have not yet got on board the ship to sail yet accept the captain can sail the seas. You haven't seen the captain firstly, secondly you blindly trust the captain that he can steer and lastly he has the necessary directions to reach the desired destination. Likewise a pilot of an aircraft. You enter the plane with a certain level of trust and mistrust that there is a pilot and a, competent one! Blind faith that you accuse the the theist. Do you look for his flying hours certificate before you book your ticket? That is a far greater risk than asking for evidence of prove me God and let Him create something in my presence as proof of His existence, that is utterly disingenuous and arrogant coming from a human being delivered on earth by child birth . Unless you claim you came around otherwise. Dwell in your arrogance. You defy logic as you don't believe in hell fire or heaven in any case so there is absolutely no risk or fear of dying from believing in a Creator of the Universe. God phobia, is that is a term, is that the reason ? It's not suicidal as well you know, believing in a Single Creator. Shamsi have you evidence lastly from the Qur'an as the verse he mentioned was a message sent to Muhammad SAW over 1444 years to the atheists of today when there were only jews Christians and pagan worshippers when atheists using the same lousy arguments of today were non existent at that time. Nlits no wonder statistically atheists suffer the most from mental diseases and suicides are most prevalent amongst you lot.

      " the universal knowledge of how things are structured."
      Yes four forces, some dimensions , some energy , some symmetries, what is called the uniformity of nature. In many ways the universe is simple
      "You will never look at a phone and say the particles just came together that way. You will know by very basic intellect that that phone must have a creator. "
      That's just the same terrible argument Ali Dawah makes . You know the phone is designed , so yes I would say it is teleologically designed by human beings , but that is not an argument that supports looking at anything we know is not made by man , and concluding the same. That does not even follow, if you follow this argument anything you think is designed is designed by man, but that's obviously not the case.
      "So if you look at the creation on this earth, (which is way more complex than a phone) it's basic intellect to know that it also must have a creator."
      Not at all, there is no obvious design going on in the formation of earth , in falling of matter under the effects of a gravitational field to produce a large ball, its all just clumping together in exactly the same way as the sun did , and all the other planets in the solar system did, and all the other suns and planets in the rest of the galaxy did.
