Keep in mind you are looking at one small overlook of the Grand Canyon. There’s literally hundreds of miles of vistas that all give you different views. One of my favorite spots along the canyon, and it’s in the north side, is Toroweap Overlook, where you can literally look 3000 feet straight down to the Colorado River. It is absolutely breathtaking and totally worth the 60 mile drive on a washboard road. Then there’s hundreds of miles of trails to the west of there, in the Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument.
My heart breaks for you guys. I was showing my wife the videos with rooster and she looked so much like our little guy. Our prayers are with you.
Thank you so much!
Hi Matt and Cara, I really miss Rooster. 😢 Again, I’m so sorry for your loss! Thank you for sharing Rooster with us! ♥️. The Channel Dirt Road Cred recently talked about Motobilit's brand-new high-clearance Jeep Tail Lights. Pretty cool. Takecare! ❤
Thanks!! I’ll check them out.
I’m sure Rooster loves the spot you picked for him!
Excellent video! We are stuck here at work and super enjoy watching you on the road! Hoping to leave Sunday for our coastal trip!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. Absolutely beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So you ended up in the spot I've used all three times. You posted a picture a couple weeks ago of a spot I've been in before too. So funny to see it from some else's perspective.
My father in law brought a 5th wheel into that 2nd spot years ago, at night. They didn't realize until the morning they were 15" from the edge. !!!!
I love your videos because it’s not just about the places you go and your journey but you bring us into your world. It’s an overall experience not just a video… if that makes sense…. Thanks for sharing some of your world!
Wow, thank you!
My husband and I really enjoy your videos. Hope to meet you at expo pnw. Safe travels!!
I’m currently going through a similar situation with my Ursa, she has a heart problem too and none of the medications are working. It’s soo hard when there’s nothing you can do to make feel better… Sorry for your loss…
My condolences to your pup, it never gets easier. I keep telling myself no more because I hate to see them go, but it’s harder NOT to own one than it is to see them go.
The club sandwich is amazing at Jacob Lake Inn! The Mayo is green, like a cilantro mayo or something like that, I remember it well!
Nice, I am going to try to hit that area up myself next year. We lost a dog "Luke" to lung cancer he was like a child to us, so I can relate to how you feel it chokes me up to every time I think about him. 👍God Bless
I’ve never seen the Grand Canyon before except in photos. it looks amazing can’t wait to see it in person soon
Highly recommend
I love driving into the N Rim from Hurrican. I haven't do it from the other direction from Powell.
Those views of the Grand Canyon are spectacular. Great video. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
That campsite at the Grand Canyon looked really familiar!!! 😂😂😂
Wow, awesome video!
Absolutely beautiful.
Nice job Matt
Thanks a ton!
I’m sorry about roster. The hart will go on. God bless.
Love the video !! Me and my wife really enjoy it and it has inspired us to go out and explore !
Question : what kind of knife does Matt have overhead ?in the jeep
Took my lunch at the right time!
I hope that since we are seeing this video that you survived the Jacob Lake restaurant without getting sick. When we are there, 4 out of our party of 6 got terribly ill. So much so that they ended up in emergency care in Flagstaff. The only 2 of our party that did not get sick did not drink the water. The other 4 of us had. 😢
Oh man, no we didn’t get sick. We loved that place and would go back for sure. The food was delicious.
lol I loved her outro .. cracked me up
I was waiting for this!!!
I suspect that you didn't show the Grand Canyon close up because it is in a national park and they are stupid about "commercial". As I recall there is bill floating through Congress to fix that and some parks, such as Canyonlands, no longer care about vloggers. The next challenge with them will be allowing drones in remote areas near roads. The stretch between House Rock Rd and the North Rim is boring.
nice bike
What bike?
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures the ebike?
Who was it that made the one piece sheets and comforter set?
I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Maybe the Born Outdoors Badger Bed?
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures is that what it is? I thought I seen a video that had the sheets and the comforter all sewn together. I just got my OGT trailer and want a single unit system so I’m not having to tuck in sheets and blankets all the time.
Hopefully you drove to Point Imperial and Cape Royal. It has the best views of the Grand Canyon North Rim.
Sadly we did not
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures there’s always a next time. It’s where I’ve seen the 200 bison that inhabit the big meadow of North Rim right after entering the entrance. That was such a cool experience.
Did you do this in May BEFORE Overland Expo West?
Yes
Matt, If you were to guess, approx. how many nights do you think u spend in the RTT a year?
It was 64 last year I think.
Are you using ham radios or CB's?
GMRS
I do love you sharing your emotions about Rooster. Now if I end up at White Pocket, I'll say hi to her.
This has been a great trip to watch. Thanks always for the hard work you do to bring us along. ❤❤
I'd be interested to watch a video on you sharing drone flying restrictions. I'm finding it confusing
Thanks so much!! For drones if it’s designated wilderness or land managed by the National Park Service then it’s a no fly zone.
Matt what kind of dog is gose
Frenchie
When sharing a campsite, do you like to strike up a conversation and ask if they mind?
a hiker died there the other day
Came for the overlanding. Stayed for the Frenchies.
Why are you driving 2 vehicles for 2 people? What a waste of Gas.
Thanks for your concern. We both love driving and at the end of our trip we were going different directions. Is that ok with you?
Your wife wears a seatbelt but you don’t? Hmmm..
Typical jeeper. They always see a line no matter what.
Huh?
When she said there was a spot to hike even though you said there wasn’t. I drive a jeep also so I see lines that I probably shouldn’t take as well.
It looks like you're headed South. If Sedona is on the list, did you know there is a great campsite with a spectacular view at 34.873677, -111.700033
