I’m 5’7” also and I barely get full range. I still can’t go super deep, slightly past 90*. Marking where the bench needs to be on the ground is a good idea so that you don’t have to keep moving it back and forth to find the sweet spot.
Great review...I purchased the C10 along with the sliding bench about a month ago (and was able to get the sliding bench before they sold out again...)...This is the best piece of fitness equipment I have ever owned! As you have noted...an extremely well built and very functional trainer. I am so impressed with it...I also bought a Hyper pro and own a set of Block Dumbells...bought 300 pounds of Barbell Standard weights....for a complete home gym! I learned a lot from this video (the chest supported rows were a great tip...) as well as your initial review on the C10. Thanks for the content!
The sliding bench is a major selling point of the C10. It's functionality is literally the only reason, or 90% the reason, why you would go the C10 over any of the other all-in-one out there. Especially at this ultra competitive price. If nothing else, I wish more companies would make rail type benches. It makes getting into smaller racks for movements like incline presses a lot easier.
I just had the C10 without the sliding bench for 3 months and it was awesome. Love having the high and low dual pulleys, as well as the side pulleys. It's a great unit and now I have the sliding bench there's so much you can do with it, it's been a solid purchase
I agree, I wouldn't buy the C10 without the bench. But that said, if the benches didn't exist, I still think it's probably their best unit. The 3 cable ratios, center mount lat and low row, and the extended pulleys all put this well above most other options.
I also love the sliding bench for use with the smith machine. This is because you can easily slide back and forth and find the best placement without needing to get up and move the bench. This makes finding the perfect spot a lot easier.
That's awesome feedback! I really hesitate to do reviews on stuff I haven't used for a long period of time because that's the only way you get to know little nuances like that. I appreciate you posting this so people can see.
@@GymCrafter one more recommendation is to buy a pair of 5 pound fractional weights to place on top of the weight stack so that you can go up in 5 pound increments instead of 10. That has been huge for me.
@@dgfreshx You're reading my mind! I've reached out to a few people to make 2.5 and 5 lb weight pins that will slide under the shroud. With all the cable systems out there now, think this would be a huge seller.
@@GymCrafter A key pointer on this is when you install the cables, you need a gap of at least 2.5 inches above the weight plates and the pulley above it or else a lot of the fractional weights won't fit! This is hard to tweak once you are fully set up.
Watching you on that thing made me realize I already have a sliding bench -- my rowing machine! Hooked some heavy bands around the back end to a squat belt. Not much tension at the bottom (low cables would work better) and feet are a little awkward, but it would definitely pump some blood into my quads if I was looking for a finisher.
Thank you on behalf of tall guys. I am one inch taller than you. I bought the C10 with sliding bench. I’ve used it now for a few days and your video gave me great information (height related) . My eyes are open now.. setting up the leg exercises just got a lot easier for me. PS, nice watch! Who makes it?
Thanks! So many of the models used in marketing are so short, it is for sure hard to tell how stuff will work for taller people! Did I do something wrong on the hack squat, or are you finding limited range too? I only had a few hours to get this video together and I'm wondering if I should have tried different cable lengths. Watch is by Hamilton, love automatics!
@@GymCrafter I am learning as I go as well. Your review helped me however. The red cable in the hole marked "Red" was a plus I wasn't aware of, so thanks for that. I also discovered that the pull down works better for guys our size if we sit on the floor in order to get a full stretch of the lats. Doing it while seated on the bench and legs tucked under the smith bar doesn't allow a proper stretch. My two cents if you haven't tried that yet. The rest of it has been incredibly great. Wonderful machine!. I did my research for quite sometime. The Rep Ares 2.0 was the favorite, and I. even looked at Jacked Up, but when Force came out with the C10 with sliding bench then that was it for me. The added leg possibilities with minimal floor space is what sold me...... I am a watch geek lol
I think this could be used as a pulley rower for cardio as well. If you could get the lowered feet position and pullelys just right. The question is durability of the bench for that function.
I thought about that, but it would need a few tweaks. Body Solid makes a great rowing seat that's made for a cable system that I'd use instead. It's not expensive and would work great with this unit.
It's a better than average bench, but not as good as Rep's stand alone benches. I wish they would improve the padding and the vinyl, that would go a long way. They aren't bad, but most companies are way ahead in this area. I probably wouldn't buy one of their standard benches. It's all the extra stuff that makes this one special.
Thanks! All I could think of is all the cool stuff Kyle and others will be able to do with this. That and what V2 and V3 from Force and other companies will look like.
When you switch to the red cables, you also have to extend the post on the bench, so you don't pick up any range, it just starts further from the machine.
been waiting to hear any review for this bench as I have the rep ares 2.0 and been looking to replace my leg ext/ leg curl machine to gain some space back. This looks perfect for that, any thoughts on the padding for the leg ext and leg curls, see the only 2 reviews on their site for the base bench option calling out the padding. Great review.
I'm 180cm tall, would it be okay to do a hack squat? I'm looking for it because there's no review in Korea, but it's so helpful. Thank you. Please understand that it is unnatural due to the translation
Interesting idea. I'd have to try it to see. I don't know that the placement would be right, or if the pads would get in the way. would really like something down low, even with the seat.
This display unit had them and they told me they come with. That said, someone here in the comments has a C10 and did not get them. I would ask Force USA to be sure.

I've been doing the same thing for Body Solid (quite a few videos are shot, but aren't posted yet).
