The only video that helped me set up my IP phone within 5 minutes. No extra blah blah - short and effective. Went through 20 minutes of other videos on different channels, explaining all unnecessarily things. Thank you author. Every time i reset up my work station i go back to this video and it always works, saved tons of time to us
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I have been wanting to do this with my phone for months and I am glad I found your video. I have Windows 10 and all I had to do was to click on the sharing the WiFi and my phone started working right away. I did not have to enter an IP address or anything else. ALSO, I like how you get right to the point. Some people talk for 99% of their video about non-sense before getting to the point of why we are on the video, to begin with. Thank you for valuing our time.
Don't know if you will ever see this.....but you just saved me a ton $$$. Thanks a million and as said before...for getting right to the point. Forever greatful.
So for people using a wired internet connection for their pc, you would want a motherboard with 2 ethernet ports, right? Also can you connect a physical telephone to a PBX service such as VirtualPBX? They say that they provide a phone number when purchasing one of their plans.
what wires did you use? I have a desktop yealink that I want to connect to my laptop so that I can use it with our vonage business internet phone system - we had it connected to a modem at the office but I dont have that option at home. TIA
I’m assuming you took that ethernet phone and plugged it directly into your desktop and the desktop is wireless right because my husband’s gonna start working at home but he’s gonna have a laptop in one of those ethernet phones too they’re getting him a new desk and they ordered a laptop and I’m hoping they’ll configure it and do all that before he comes home because we only had one ethernet port upstairs and he’s gonna be working downstairs
I'm sure this will be very helpful however can I still have my PC connected to the internet through an ethernet cable? As I'll be using my PCs only ethernet port for the phone? Would an Ethernet cable splitter work somehow?
How about calling through your PC, in other words, say you have a spreadsheet with telephone numbers in the cells, how can you make it so that when you click on the telephone number in Excel, your computer dials that number?
@adamthephoneguy1370 Is there any way to take the physical VOIP phone out of the loop completely and simply use a connected PC with microphone and speakers? Hence calls could be made from the PC, and equally any calls that come in would ring on the PC as well. Obviously when the PC is turned off, no incoming or outgoing calls could be made.
im trying to connect my voip to my laptop using 3.0 gigabit ethernet adapter as i dont have an ethernet port on my laptop, it worked on the first day but now i cant seem to make it work
That’s what I like to know because my husband‘s gonna be working at home and they’re giving him a laptop and buying a new work phone which it’s a Internet phone with the ethernet port. We only have one ethernet port upstairs that our router is plugged up to we have fiber optic home and we only have one Internet port, but he’s gonna be working downstairs so wondering if we can do the same thing plug the work ethernet phone into the back of the laptop I’m sure laptop has an ethernet port as well
I have Windows 10 and all I had to do was to click on the sharing the WiFi and my phone started working right away. I did not have to enter an IP address or anything else.
The ''PC'' port on the phone is for when you plug the ethernet cable from the router into the internet port, you can then also get internet on your PC by connecting via ethernet, not through the router, but through the phone. Similar to an ethernet switch.
I don't think I fully understand this? So could I connect my laptop directly to the router with an ethernet cable and then the phone to the laptop with another ethernet cable and it will all work?
If you have more computers, is there a way to connect the phone to the PCs over the WiFi so when you dial for example 123 it is gonna ring on the one exact computer?
I have a little question ... After device is connected ,what kind a provider free apps we can using it for make some call test? Can you explain please... thanks a large for this video bro..
I m using iinet, which is a Australian local provider, but I dont think there is an APP, I just directly dial from the IP phone. The IP phone only need interent connection to work, it will say online whenever there is internet connected to it and it start working, if I turn off the PC, internet is lost, and it will say no internet and stop functioning.

Where does the other end of the phone line get plugged into on the computer?
it's the ehternet port on the PC, and the set up dose not require a phone line, instead it uses ethernet cable
How would I do this on a iMac?
So when I do this on a yealink t46s it’s making the internet on the computer and the phone is not working g and not getting the ip still
I have Windows 10 and all I had to do was to click on the sharing the WiFi and my phone started working right away. I did not have to enter an IP address or anything else.
can this use as home phone ?
The next step I would like to know how to use my yealink phone to call using outlook contact?
After doing everything, the ethernet still says no internet access. Help! Please

This is a very shallow answer with so much you left out, virtually pointless to read, thanks 😂
