What It's like Attending a Concert at the WAMU Theater in Seattle, WA

Join me on a walking tour of the WAMU Theater in Seattle. The WAMU Theater is a flexible indoor performance space that can host up to 9,000 people for concerts, events and more. I’ll show you around the theater, from the entrance to the stage, and share some fun facts and tips along the way.
We start at the entrance of the theater, located at 800 Occidental Ave S, next to Lumen Field. There are plenty of parking options nearby, but I recommend taking public transportation or ride-sharing to avoid traffic and parking fees.
As we enter the theater, we see a large lobby area with coat check, merchandise stands, restrooms and concessions. The theater has a variety of food and drink options, from popcorn and candy to beer and wine.
We make our way to the main floor of the theater, where we have general admission tickets. The theater has removable risers that can create different seating configurations depending on the event. For this concert, the floor is open and spacious, with plenty of room to dance and move around. There are also some seats on the sides and back of the floor for those who prefer a more relaxed view.
We find a spot near the front of the stage, where we can see the band clearly and feel their energy. The stage is large and well-lit, with a giant screen behind it that displays visuals and lyrics. The sound system is amazing, with crisp and clear audio that fills the whole theater. The acoustics are also great, with no echo or distortion.

GA seating is in the back, pick any seats available. You can also just walk around anywhere and go right up to the stage anytime. Yes very safe as well.

@@PNW4K thank you. My niece and a couple friends are going to a concert there and have GA seating. My only concern is when it gets overcrowded and people can’t get up if they get knocked over, essentially get trampled on and suffocated. Thank you for sharing.

Yes with general admission you can sit back there or walk around and stand by the stage. You just don't have access to the VIP area.
