Thumbnail clickbait is annoying. I was curious as to how an M1A would be setup for hunting but instead you went with thumbnail clickbait. You got your view but only this once. If you're gonna do that might as well use tig ole biddie gunbunnies as bait.
I boûght a Remington pump 308 in 1959 ($137 - rifle & 2 boxes of shells) and it still shoots sub MOA. All these fancy do-dads do not make up for accuracy and hunting skills. Shoots almost as fast as semi auto. Budget hunting: Get a rifle that is accurate, handy and you shoot it well, easy maintenance, no failures then use it for years. I have added scope & muzzle brake.
The Model 7 in a .243 was the first rifle I bought for my wife. It was a great gun. Accurate, and dependable. Before I bought it for her, she was using a Savage Model 99 in the .303 Savage. After using the Model 7 for 5 yrs., she wanted to go back to a lever action. I got her a Browning Lever Action in the 7mm-08. I wish I had held onto the Model 7 but being a poor boy, I traded it for the BLR. Now, almost 49 yrs.later, she still uses the BLR and I still wish I had held onto the Model 7. It was a great gun.
Gun manufacturers have abandoned any notion of making rifles for those of us who hunt in such thick brush that scopes are useless. The result has been not only the continuous design of rifles that don't even have sights, but also the neglect of any new open sight technology.
My Remington 7600 is still my first choice out of a safe of many fancy choices. If I had to give all of them up and just keep one. That would be it. 30-06 power, simple, light and fast handling, she has no equal for white tail deer 🦌.
All B.S: Most hunters in Germany use Kar 98 / Mauser action or similar. Because of the unmatched reliability , smoothness of action and the 3- point - safety. Have one , FN made, modified to .308 win by the IDF, just works. Zero problem rifle.
I was building custom rifles on old Mauser 98 actions but to find one of these actions today is near impossible. I even have a Mauser 98 I chambered in 300 WBY mag
My family has a truck load of 788 Remingtons in 308 shoot little groups a couple cost 150 bucks the others were cheap. We are all fat from eating game...now that is the best gun.
So, "Top Best 308 Rifles For Hunting (.308 Rifle Reviews)" is not a review but actually a nearly 15 minute nonstop advertisement ? Copy , thank you for all your hard work.
You guys forgot the late great model 88 Winchester fully enclosed cartridge head one piece stock and was a favorite of gun writer John Wootors and the nickname of that 88 was old thumper ,
Those were good old guns ! I think they were made and sold in the mid to late 1960’s. They were made for the working man to give him a good accurate rifle. And yes the Timmy trigger was the one to have in your guns it was the best!
Best Outdoor Lab does no testing, as the "Lab" part of their name would imply. Unless, of course, you consider the editing room a "lab". These are all promos from the manufacturers.
I seen them straight poor bolts on a rifle called a man, nickel using world war II I know I misspelled that on the other features is that rifle you had a stock it wouldn't stock and went plum to the end of the gun barrel
You should change the Title to low Budget rifle. There are waaaaaay better rifles like sauer 202 and 404, Blaser R8, Steel Action HS, haenel Hunter 10, Merkel Helix, heym sr21, stayr SM21, Krieghoff semprio, Tikka carbon light, and so Many More....
Of the rifles shown, Only the Daniel Defense and the Savage Impulse would work for me, whereas I am a left-handed shooter. While the Savage looks cool, the AR platform has never done me wrong. My personal hunting rifle is not on this list. It is a PSA PA-10 in .308 Winchester that regularly produces 1/2" five shot groups at a hundred yards with either Remington 150 gr. Core-Lokt or Winchester 150 gr. Power Point loads.
So...is the Springfield M1a too good for this list? I didn't see it in the video. But as far as I'm concerned the Remington 700 is the very best rifle you could buy and right out of the box it gave you sub MOA shots even with a low tier scope. Too bad politics and bad business practices put them out of business. Savage, Ruger, Browning, I've owned at least one of each and those were the last I'll ever own.
Ok, the rifle on display, in the menu was not covered in any of the rifles in the video. The Springfield M1A. I did not like any of the rifles in the video, and will not ever watch another video from this channel.
Talk about misrepresentation and dirty tricks. Your opening graphic says top 7 Best 308 Rifles for Hunting, and entices with an attractive picture of a Springfield Armory M-1A which is mainly produced in .308. But no where in the video is the Springfield M-1A included or even discussed. Isn’t that a trademark infringement in violation of the rights of Springfield? As a lawyer, I think so. Shame on you.

Exactly!
Well said. Tig ol bitties.
I have a cheap Remington model 788 in .308 Winchester. Extremely accurate and built like a tank!

I have one in 308 another in 30-06. Both sub-MOA with rack grade ammo. CAn't find extra mag for 30-06. easy for 308
Finally someone made an ambi bolt action rifle. Thank you Savage!
My choice is a now out of production Remington Model 7 in 308, Short, handy, quick, light to carry and accurate.

Have you looked at the Marlin 1895, savage scout or any of the brush guns? Lots of options with iron sights and full rails for sights.
@@MadisonFishing
Well, not exactly what I'm envisioning. I'd like to see something like a modern version of a K98, 1903 Springfield and the like.
I hear you, pretty much only option is to stick with the 308 "scout" rifles.
I got a steyr mannlicher luxus iron sights already dialled in 200mtrs
@@cameronmowbray9290 Good for you. I wound up ordering a Henry single shot 45-70.
Great Collection of Commercials!!
Really informative!! Not like there isn't enough of these

I like the Savage 308 & 30-06 ether will work. I just hate that they took the logo away 🤬

In my opinion, most guns shoot well base on the shooter not the gun.
I like Browning, how many dollars does it cost?
Remington 7600 pump. Accurate and fast follow up.
The savage .308 is the best .30 calibre rifle on the market for the money.
Lol smh
My family has a truck load of 788 Remingtons in 308 shoot little groups a couple cost 150 bucks the others were cheap. We are all fat from eating game...now that is the best gun.
I guess I need to get rid of my Winchester Feather Weight. Hmmmm...I don't think so. Just as I think I will also keep my Ruger Gunsite Scout.
There are some awfully nice custom 308's out there

I think Tikka is as good or better then most that you showed.
Love my Tikka
You guys forgot the late great model 88 Winchester fully enclosed cartridge head one piece stock and was a favorite of gun writer John Wootors and the nickname of that 88 was old thumper ,
What makes them the "best"? Ad revenues?
Got a ishapore enfield 7.62x51 that I’ll put up against any rifle on this list.
I like the Ruger. The semi auto is illegal here.
What is the rifle in the picture of the video?
Springfield m1a1, looks to be the scout variant with the 18inch barrel.
@@thatgenericdixienormouspicguy M1A/M14, m1a1 is a completely different rifle.
@@takinisurvivalchannel3812 Yeah, I know the difference. I most likely typed the extra 1 by mistake haha.
Adds...and rifles that aren't even offered. 308
Thought this was supposed be a .308 rifle review.
Can't wait for the Impulse to make it to canada in 5 years...
Can't even get one in the U.S. now.
Nothing in this video is better than my Remington 788 carbine with a Timney trigger, nothing.
Lol smh

I’d say both.
15 minute ad.... no thanks
The thumbnail kinda looked like a modern style gewehr 43 lol
This Chanel just searches for add from outdoor companies and puts them in a random order and names it top blank number of blank for blank year
I seen them straight poor bolts on a rifle called a man, nickel using world war II I know I misspelled that on the other features is that rifle you had a stock it wouldn't stock and went plum to the end of the gun barrel
Love to get my hands on an Impulse, But there are literally none available anywhere....
Grabagun has them now if you still haven’t found any.
Why does the thumbnail have an old military rifle for hunting?🤪

Bolts?! r we in 1880?
In my state we are. Can't buy a St. Victor here. Welcome to the new 1880's.
The best accuracy comes from bolts. One shot kills if you do your part.
Fan boys. No Remington in here at all or tika. Fixed and teolled
