@@jasonmorales7823Just a new cam chain at about 30,000 miles. It’s got 56,000 on it now and still running fine.I’m thinking I may need to replace in inlet valves soon as I am running out of adjustment on one of them. Apparently the early models were softer material and wear down.
I love the petrol bottle kept by the battery! And why put fuel in the air filter? Be better off pulling the filter out and spraying some cold start down there.
+furulevi usually, if you put it on 3d gear and even on 2nd gear, just by pushing it a little for few metres wile on top(walk wile seated) will start it. I did that many times with my 900R
I'm pretty sure that's a 1985 model , the 1984 model was Firecracker Red and Persian Grey . The 1985 models were released in Firecracker Red and Silver which is your dads bike and Polaris Blue and Silver . It was the first 4 cylinder liquid cooled , fuel injected bike ever made . They are starting to increase in value and will soon be worth 5 times its original price , look after it , if you still have it .
NO NO NO NO. I ALREADY DID THAT AND NOW HAVE NEW FILTER. Ye after that I had to change my air filter. from outside filter is made from material that is ok with benzine and inside is foam and if you put more Benzin filter melts but you don't see that. and than this foam is sucked in to carbs and engine . NOBODY DON"T DO THAT at least you have another filter. I have oldtimer car so carbs is from top that works great just I do benzine direct in to carb and filter is not from foam that is ok to.
The GPZ 900 must be one of the best tips as an emerging classic right now. Great bike which will rightfully claim its place in history.
このカラーリングのGPZ-900R大好きです。日本では、今は見かけないです。一度乗ってみたいです。気をつけて乗ってくださいね。
I have had the exact same bike for the last 27 years. It is still going strong and runs perfectly with 46,000 miles on it.
Have you had to do any engine rebuilds yet

Gorgeous bike. With a little TLC it could be a show bike. Wish it was mine.
It sounds just like my old single cylinder cement mixer engine.
XD thats about all the good this one is for anymore. its seen better days and isnt long for this world.
Not sure if dripping gasoline over the frame is a smart idea when jump starting a bike...
Overall nice example, as others said :)
Tom would be proud! :)
Check that cam chain tensioner it sounds shit. Try some new plugs too, give it some proper tlc it will love you back.
Probably going to need to rebuild the carburators they got some gum in them from old gas.

sounds amazing.
What if the battery dies? Can you start the engine downhill for example?
+furulevi Of course, it's a regular working engine!

Who put the diesel motor in a gpz ?
comparing other bikes to the ninja 900 gpz styling wise is like comparing a flintlock musket to an MG42 machinegun.
Looks good
ShoNuffDC Thanks mate!
