Love this, its my 3rd year of riding. Started off on a mini bike, moves to a 1991 honda XR250L, then a 1989 honda cr250r... I love vintage bikes and cant wait to see what my journey ahead of me has to offer! And Im only 14
Fun story about Justin. We were in the same MSF course. Justin drove up in the morning on a supercharged Hayabusa. Then, after lunch break, he rolls back to the course on a 6 cylinder vintage monster that we heard coming 2 miles down the highway. It was legit. Cool spot Ken, can't wait to come see the museum.
He is beyond cool, love seeing features on this guy. Seems very down to earth too. He has a big future ahead of him and you're very lucky to have him. Please keep us posted on his projects, and the FI CR500 turbo project sounds juicy! P.S. Guessing we'll see an upcoming video of the 2nd gear Husky holeshot.... maybe that turned into a loop... or maybe not? ;-)
Ken I remember the RC Engineering 836 kit in 75 I rode my buddies 836 kit and I rolled out onto the pavement off a dirt road and it had a 16 inch rear tire on it and when I took off rolling in first without touching the clutch it stood straight up on a power wheelie and it was surprising, he hadn't warned me but I was used to doing power wheelies in first with my built 550 Suzuki Ram Air it had ported cylinders and shaved head for compression and Ocelet Engineering Expansion Chambers and different countershaft sprocket, it could keep up with kaws till the top of third (no replacement for displacement) and another rich friend shipped his entire engine to Russ Collins and it came back with the 1000cc Cobra engine build every possible thing done like your Tom Gun bike I rode behind that guy while he rode a wheelie onto the highway and down the highway for a mile faster than all the rest of us could keep up, he ate kaws for lunch on the back road where we used to drag race on Friday and Saturday nights , where I was stationed stateside in Arkansas during the Vietnam War < I wonder what ever happened to Russ when V+H broke off from his shop
Holy scrap Ken ,this young man was quite a pickup. I've never heard anyone put in that much time into the development of piston ,cranks ,transmission & ignition. He's serious!
Has to be my favorite street bike Kawasaki of all time. The 900, with a turbo is a monster of a street bike. Knocking it out of the park of Joe Cool action. Keep em coming Mr Kaplan, awesome!!!!
Here in the uk we swap the engines out for bandit 1200 also if i ever get another i be swapping the running gear for zxr brakes wheels forks and straight bars
Nobody in the world can deny that Ken Kaplan has the best of the best at his shops this young man is amazing I knew that bike was not normal when I seen it poppin Willie's baby💪🏻💪🏻💚🤟🏻🤟🏻 Kaplan America🇺🇲✌🏼
Freaking beautiful bike that Justin owns. I think the original one that Tom Cruise rode in Top Gun, had Ninja stickers on it??? I didn't see any of those on Justin's bike. Does he have any? For Shame For Shame Jr, Tisk Tisk....for riding a 4 stroke dirtbike.! That's Sac-Religious. 😂😂😂😂❤❤....Hope y'all have a great weekend. Be Safe! PS. I'm waiting, with baited breath, to see Justin's Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11. Those were super badass, back in the day. ML&R
Are you sure you're allowed to have this much fun in CT? 😄 Takes me back, a buddy had this exact bike when it was the latest and greatest, it was the shiznits back then. Time moves on and it may be old now, but ya know, a 165 HP turbo never really goes out of style...
Love that GPZ900 my buddy had one it was fast needless to say he went to jail called me to send him few bucks for commissary and I took over the GPZ for the entire summer it was bad ass definitely a up grade from my 1986 yamaha fazer!
You two have absolutely blew my mind. What a machine mind-blowing mind-blowing. Justin 's. Motorcycles and his knowledgeability is incredible. God bless all of you absolutely incredible New England motorcycle museum number one Justin known as boosted wild man❤ top gun goose best video. Thank you sir
Cool iconic bike, but I've never cared for the styling. I had the GPz600R back in the day. I had a mate who t-boned a car at warp 10 who owned the 900R - car pulled out as he crested a hill and that was it for him. Only his own fault - he couldn't be seen and was going way to fast to stop and there was nowhere else to go. RIP Howard.
I remember sitting on a brand new GPZ900 at the Kawasaki dealership in Champaign IL. It was either an 85 or 86 model year. I SO wanted to bring that bike home to West Michigan with me. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Well, I see a beautiful mc, ridden by a talented rider I guess. Though I see no helmet, unzipped coat (nice one though 😉), and low cut sneakers. This man’s never attended a MSF course is my guess, or he ignored everything the instructor said about safety gear, and why it’s best to use it properly. Having served my 20 years active duty in the US NAVY, and been riding since 86’, spent about 15 years teaching the basic motorcycle safety course, it never fails to astound me that really smart people can somehow think they will escape the laws of average and never go down or never have an accident! No matter how talented, skilled, blazing reaction time you have or think you have, shit happens. Be prepared, dress for success. Real racers don’t race on the track with tank tops, shorts and flip flops. Those are controlled environments. The street is about as controlled as a EF4-EF5 tornado. Look, go have fun, but please, be prepared a bit more than what I see on the screen. Ok, I’ll shut up.
Agree, Kapclown is setting a bad example for impressionable young adults; concerned there’s going to be a serious accident there one of these days considering the minimal safety gear worn, risk of knobbies on pavement with lots of unmoveable objects nearby.
I had this bike when I turned 18 lol did 155 mph on it beat my friends yz 80 in first gear ⚙️ lol lots of fun till I got hit head on by some lady driving someone else's un insured piece of 💩 camaro totaled my 84 gpz 900 it was an awesome bike would totally rock it today 😮
Nice to be exposed to the staff , nice very nice. I have heard it said if a project sits too long, move it out for someone else to bring it back to glory. Well seeing how you brought this back to what it is now, no truer words were spoken.
Help me out here guys. Tom Cruise rode a Honda Interceptor(750 I believe) in a movie and I cannot figure out what movie it is. I think it was "Cocktail". Maybe "The Firm"? Any help would be appreciated because it's bugging the hell out of me.
Justins been a very close friend for almost 20 years. Absolutely amazing to see him get the recognition he deserves, good job boys 🤝🏻

Wear a helmet, don't do drugs, listen to my parents, thrash my bike and build a bad ass turbo bike! Got it!!
Yes sir! Good advise!
Damn that turbo GPZ900 is insane!! but that Husqvarna needs its own video as well!!!
Hi...I thought the real Tom Cruise 😄 ... Nice Bike and Movie 👍
Being with Kaplan motors is a definite career booster. What a cool guy to work for. Nothin but blue skys from now on.

That bike is off the chain, GPZ's alone are bad ass, but this bike - Wow! (Tom Cruise packs fudge)
Here in the uk we swap the engines out for bandit 1200 also if i ever get another i be swapping the running gear for zxr brakes wheels forks and straight bars
Had the same 84…loved it..almost sold for a flashy VF1000R…but glad did not!

I love when Jr shows up with the background wheelies. Only at Kaplan Cycles.

A new generation of manic. He’s a switched on lad 👍🏻

Thank you sir
let’s see some more vintage 2 strokes! big bore 90s bike please!
I'd like one for myself. "Goose, it's time to buzz the tower""
Not bad "Maverick"
My friend Russ has a ninja 900 turbo...he's raced it at the Isle of Man
Nice bike and he knows his stuff. Looks wise he could be the Goose but not Tom Cruise. 😊
HOW GOOD TOM IS AMAZING LOVIN THE TURBO CLIPS

Ya man, bring on the Turbo CB 750.
I want to see your zx11. I have two 1991 zx11s. Love them.
Man Jr is so cool, I wish I could be like him!
He should fit the oil bypass line for the head, all the ones in Japan have it. Apparently theres an oil starvation problem on the right cylinder.
I remember sitting on a brand new GPZ900 at the Kawasaki dealership in Champaign IL. It was either an 85 or 86 model year. I SO wanted to bring that bike home to West Michigan with me. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Killer bike but a brain bucket is a requirement!
How close to looping the 450 did Jr go!😂
Can’t wait to see more.
That thing is sick.
C'mon man that's Goose, he's got the need for speed!

Smart man. Smarter man for hiring him. 👍🏼
Heard mention of the Mr.turbo zx11. That made close to 500 wheel on the dyno jet. Haven’t been able to find it yet
Just like the ninja 900 r fast as hell
The man can ride.
Awesome bike and video! Put a helmet on bud .

Top Gun
@@KillrMillr7 Not the Honda Interceptor. Top Gun is the bike in the video. In Top Gun 2 he rides a H2.
He looks like the goose
That ain’t Tom Cruise, lol. But he can probably ride better than Tom anyway. Cool bike
