I first heard this in 2007 at the end of my last semester of University. It stuck in my head and became the soundtrack of wistful happiness for having accomplished something important for myself, and the bittersweetness of the whole experience floating away and having to move on with life. Takes me back to that place.
I first saw him maybe 7 or 8 years ago when i was first starting to learn music. This still blows me away. Its a complete merge of the person and his music. He made that guitar 4 different instruments.
The reason why people click on this is because they want to listen and that they do listen. It is cool, listening or watching. This is amazing arrangement and playing as far as I'm concerned.
If you have a chance go watch him play live. We used to go watch him play at a small coffee shop every wednesday night no matter what. He is an amazing guitarist!
I can't believe this guy isn't more known to the world! Spread the word people! Send it to your friends! Post it on your facebook site or whatever! He's too talented to have this few viewers and fans! :D
I think that Justin King is the best guitar player ever, it's simply out of this world, amazing, fa-bu-lous! Such a shame we can't find a cd with him, a world tour (passing through Romania, Bucharest) would be such a treat! Love him from the first time i ever heard him, i just.....lost the ability to speak....BRA-VO, BRA-VI-SSI-MO!
Let's face it, this guy is an inspired guitarist. There are many styles of guitar playing and different people like different styles. If you can't recognise and acknowledge talent when you see it maybe you should be taking an inward look rather than making childish comments. It's a pity these comments aren't better moderated.
AMAZING o_0 i love the effect he gives to the string and the kind of vibrato with the neck on the guitar at the end man I bet he break at least 1 set of super expensive string each day o_0
this version sounds SO much better than the two-necked guitar version that is also on youtube. i think it also has to do with quality of sound, but this is stinking amazing!
@55masab Bending the neck in makes the strings a little bit less tense, which is what you do when you tune the strings down, hence the note going slightly lower.
@littletowncat He is Kaki King's brother, Also, a little slice of info pie here; the movie august rush from a few yrs back, most of the music was written by justin king, and the boys hands in the movie when they were like, zoomed in on the tapping parts, thats kaki kings hands doing all the fingerstyle work ;)
Someone sent me this after I showed them a video of Preston Reed. Really cool stuff. I love when people make their instruments do stuff that nobody else thought of.
ok i have finally learned this song, and let me tell you! THE HARDEST PART OF THIS SONG IS SYNCHRONIZING THE KNOWS WITH THE TAPPING. GOD THSI SONG WAS BRUTAL!
People seriously have to be insane(ly jealous) to say he doesn't have talent, or his playing is "noise." He's a God of guitar or anything, but his composition skills are nothing short of amazing.
Ive been watching this video for 18 years and it still blows me away
I cant believe I've been coming back to this for 18 years now
Same here!

I've found multiple video's of this song by him on youtube, but still I prefer this one, even though its recorded with a brick.
Are you still here?
Audio was better to me
Still the best version imo
I mean it's nearly 16 years old what do you expect
I think it's the key. The guitar is tuned down half a step to Db where most other recordings are in D.
I never get tired of this performance.
I love the guy in the backgroud who looking around like: "Is anyone else hearing this sh*t?" lol. That's the way I'd feel too...

This guy really knows what he's doing. The percussion with the lower notes on the first seconds is SO AWESOME!!
I really love it.

Justin: "I am just gonna sit here casually, and unleash the impossible, with the effort it would take for me to yawn."
That tone is sooo nice.

@increddavisstuntman P.S Tapping can also be used when you want to do some precussion with your other hand, so theres another use for it
This is from 2004 namm, hereit is 2010..6 years later and I never heard of him...so sad!
