Maybe Fallen Lumera and units such as like Rearmed Reinhardt with Arcane Euphoria. Oh I also like units like CYL 1 Ephraim, and probably Brave Seliph since I gave him Potent 4. Sorry not Legendary Seliph that was my mistake.
I think it's kinda funny how Seteth, a demote, got a better supportive fixed DR refine than his sister Flayn, a 5* locked unit who provides very pierceable DR support I was really expecting Flayn to get fixed DR too at the very least, but her support is just... nothing
I'm happy Illyana got a pretty decent refine even though Melady had won this batch. I'll probably start trying to use her more now that she is just a Res Obliterator
Wished Flayn could've gotten better support, but I'm at least happy Veronica's refine turned out well. Also, glad to see Melady got a great refine from this batch, really makes up for how she turned out when she first came to feh.
Something I've noticed is that all refines in this batch grant +10 to all stats (with Veronica being +10 to two/-10 to two on foe). I don't *think* we've ever gotten a refine batch where all the stat gains are like this, usually being a total of +8 to all.
I noticed that the demote/free weapons from the ice banner last month provided +5 to all stats rather than +4, and now refines are following suit +5 to all stats in the base, another +5 with the effect And like with Seteth and Legendary Claude, another "base and skill effect have the same condition", ie Ilyana just needs to be above 25% HP for her entire weapon
Flayn was the one I was looking forward to the most, but her support just doesn't work with today's meta, especially with guard and guidance 4, which is ironic since Seteth basically got a better support weapon.
Ilyana went from a regular f2p infantry mage to one of the tankiest unit in the game atm. I still have some fine tuning to do on mine but she can have around 34 flat DR per hit with Laguz Friend, and with Flare + Emblem Ike's Engage effect she's nearly impossible to kill for most ranged units.
Pirate Vero and Ilyana's refines are great but I'm more happy that M'lady got something good. Nice to know IntSys didn't decide to go 0-2 with Morgan Berry voiced red wyvern flier refines.
I have to say, while I'm disappointed with how Flayn and Veld's refines turned out, I'm extremely happy with Melady's refine. She finally got the weapon she needed after how she was done dirty years ago.
the music changing from all serious with flayn to the happy with ilyana as you say you're pretty happy with her refine was actually so funny. The 3h dramatic battle music encompassing how sad the flayn refine is to the pleasant piano lol

finally got pirate vero this year on the 4* special banner, just because I liked the duo a lot--so stoked to see her have a great refine! it's so cute xander reminds me of an actor at a theme park or birthday party trying to cheer her up😭

2020 - Flayn was everywhere due to her drive DR, Seteth was an above average demote due to his prf. Child outperforming their parent. 2024 - Seteth is crazy good with his joint drive true DR support, Flayn is still stuck with percentage DR. Parent surpassing their child.

PM1 u have no idea how happy I am about Pirate Veronica refine!! I really love how the feud is a reference to Embla since she's the one who introduced it and Vero is one of her emblain blood inheritor it's such a neat detail that they added here I love it!! :)💖 She got such a great refine she deserves it she's so fun to use now and the instant special is really nice with the canto distant 4. Her tanking ability also isn't that bad she can tank hits pretty well and the feud effect they gave her is so broken it helps so much with her matchups!! (＾∇＾)ﾉ💖 Thank you so much for ur hardwork as always PM1 really appreciate these refines reviews and builds so I can update my pirate Veronica now!! :D💖
I'm essentially using the "high invest" option for Flayn right now sans BOL4-I ended up using my Timerra copies on infantry builds, so I need to wait til either she or Chrom (my main fodder factory) rerun
In defense of Flayn's refine, I do think that her soft DR and Guidance 4 effect actually compliment Seteth's refine really well, and his true DR stacked with hers will make your team almost indestructible if you aren't fighting someone like Felix. Especially if Veyle and L!Guinivere are on that team too.
Idk what everyone is so upset about with flayns refine. They definitely undercooked but considering the available options right now it's just arcane charmer with better combat for her and better support for allies with no slaying. Again, they could've cooked harder but it's not bad at all

Yeah, moreso I think the RES swing on Veronica is them trying to combat "Scowl" since she has pre-charging in her kit. But even with the 20 RES swing this is implying that the foe that uses scowl only has 49 RES....with no skills affecting it -_-. Like even at max flowers that 55 RES, which still isn't really enough to go against Scowl. TBH they should have did the stat swings as -10 Foe ATK/DEF/RES, +10 own ATK/DEF/RES and also given her Crux Phantom on all stats for units within that range (7 max). That and the Feud would have made her a bit more unique, and would have helped out more at her max investment build vs. Scowl Dragons.
I don’t really study the refine pattern, when do you think we’ll start seeing ascendant refines? Anyone can answer. I’ve got a +10 ascendant Laegjarn that’s collecting dust. And I don’t want to feed her too many premium skills because I don’t want any effect overlap with her refine.

Flayn’s weapon refine quality is about as what I expected, her having super guidance in her weapon makes her at least usable in the meta but it is still far from what all she needed
I'm pretty disappointed with this refine batch because I really liked using Flayn, but I'm glad Vero's refine was good. Vero inflicting Feud making Flayn's support even less useful is just twisting the knife tho 😅

How in the Zaharas did Flayn get a worse refine than her d- I mean brother Seteth????? Why did they give her 30% dr and guard what healer is going to be attacking without razzle dazzle? What I think they should've done was increase her dr, like what if it had the weaving fighter effect where you get 80% if the foe can make a follow up. Or give her true dr everything nowadays gets true dr so why not give it to the 5 star healer the 4 star Seteth got it?

Let's be honest, if IS wanted to be lore accurate with Veld he would have gotten the unconditional ending the foe's action at the start of the turn (or the phase!), but I guess that would be too much for a grail unit haha would have been so annoying trying to rush and reach him, behind all those saves and bulky nukes, at turn 1 in AR-O with one less unit on your team. I'm happy for Melady, though! She's so important in FE6, she deserved that half-freeze effect! RIP Flayn.

Grail villains were getting shafted so hard before Validar showed up.

Yeah, she can but Aether is not that good of a special. Damage wise it's just Luna. Ignis has better DMG output.

I literally have not used mine since she was released shame, Melady’s refine was definitely a surprise for sure too bad I’ve literally never got her, gotta say for me at least this entire refine batch felt underwhelming.😐

How in the Zaharas did Flayn get a worse refine than her d- I mean brother Seteth????? Why did they give her 30% dr and guard what healer is going to be attacking without razzle dazzle? What I think they should've done was increase her dr, like what if it had the weaving fighter effect where you get 80% if the foe can make a follow up. Or give her true dr everything nowadays gets true dr so why not give it to the 5 star healer the 4 star Seteth got it?

Not at all, I haven't stopped with them and I don't intend to. Just my ADHD spiraling out last month.
I do plan on getting to them once I am done with the Halloween Coverage before Dimitri releases.

I was just suprised that after a few days the reviews were still missing. But dont stress your self too much about it i was just suprised because it was an unusual precedent.

Flayns refine is so bad I almost think players should kinda riot and see if they will re do it. Because it’s just…straight up a downgrade from Seteth lol

Let's be honest, if IS wanted to be lore accurate with Veld he would have gotten the unconditional ending the foe's action at the start of the turn (or the phase!), but I guess that would be too much for a grail unit haha
would have been so annoying trying to rush and reach him, behind all those saves and bulky nukes, at turn 1 in AR-O with one less unit on your team.
I'm happy for Melady, though! She's so important in FE6, she deserved that half-freeze effect!

I'm devastated at Ilyana's refine. I would've traded any one of those of those effects for slaying. Seriously? Back to Euphoria for me, I'll only be using the refine for arena purposes.
