This doesn't say how to fix the sensor, this says how to fix and change an outlet... Had some informative and logical deduction methods which are good for other things, but didn't actually address the issue I was looking to have fixed or that the title implied.
You make it sound like it's so hard to find the problem. 1:38 First off, we already know it is NOT coming on, so what is the point of covering it? Should be first. The very first thing you should be testing is if the light bulb itself is any good at all.
I feel like everything this man in the video mentioned was crazy informative. It might not be for someone that's not versed in this type of troubleshooting. I feel like it would be common knowledge to create the correct conditions and eliminate variables to then deduce what the true problem is. In the case of this video. It was clearly sunny and this is a video on dawn to dusk sensor. Meaning the light only turns on when the sensor "closes/ completes" the circuit. I feel like if I have to explain this then your mind is about to be blown away with this next bit of information... But tell me why he has to check the bulb if he has a voltage tester that makes loud noises and flashed lights when hovering over working powered lines? His tester is better than the bulb not to mention faster/ safer. They don't sell bloody light bulbs as an electrical test tool they sell legit testers which in this case the person in the video has AT LEAST 3 conductivity testers. He has his Hand held voltage tester, His outlet circuit tester and more than positive he had a multimeter at the ready. SO if you like to work backwards without knowing what the hell you're doing then sure you would make a silly comment on this mans post. Changing or checking if the light bulb is work for the Handyman or onsite maintenance. I'm sure before he arrived they called him specially saying how their light doesn't work and they've tried everything light checking the breakers for any trips or even changing the lightbulb. I know it might be hard for you to comprehend or even appreciate someone else's time with knowledge they'd love to share because they want to and not because they HAVE TO. Feel free to ask me to dumb any of this down for you to digest easier. Also in this video the problem was not the sensor or light bulb but a in line standard gfci required by code. MSG to the OP great video, amazing attention to detail especially with the pictures and drawings you made. It seriously is great seeing someone not just educate but to teach in several forms so that everyone has the ability to learn. They say if you can explain and teach someone what you're doing then you are a pro with your craft.
@@javierrueda9043 OH my someone sure got their panties in a twist. Well let me REALLY dumb this down for you. Of the millions of times that a light won't turn on 90% of them are NOT the wiring. The vast majority of those time is a bad bulb. And if you don't know how to test a bulb then you silly azz needs to go back to school. As far as your test tool, it only tells you that there is voltage. You WE TODD DID nit. It does NOT tell you if you have a good circuit. Now go rant elsewhere. You are not the brightest bulb on the porch. You are not even on.
You should work your way all the way to your hydro company to make sure there is enough water in the dam, if not you probably will spit or pee in it just to get water flowing, damn bro

If you belong to a HOA you deserve everything that's coming to you.
Ouch.

I can NOT find that photocell sensor anywhere! Help!😊
You should have checked the breaker box first. That is the main source for every thing electrical. Da ! !
Amen to that. For a tutorial/educational he’s got it ass backward
