Hi Pete, I have a nightmare with my wipers they won’t stop unless you turn the car off. also don’t work on first speed, I have got a second hand relay and it has made no difference. Also the radio only works when you turn on wipers if that’s any help. Apart from that the car is very nice. I have spent a lot of time on it now and it’s driving me mad. Any information would be greatly appreciated thanks Jordan
So you may have a short in the comfort relay or you can also first try cleaning the end of your wiper stalk. The end cap does come off and sometimes they get dirty inside and short out. I did this to mine and it fixed the issues. I am still having periodic issues with the wipers coming in so I may do an update video
That is most likely the sending unit. You would need to drop the tank and change out the unit. They sometimes get stuck and you can free them up but best to change if you end up dropping down tank.
@@petescarport doesn't sound easy. I got Diebold German in Bonito... Gotta let a pro deal with it ...oil spraying up under front clip on top... Drove like a dream from Fort Myers Beach to North Port and back😃👍thanks and Happy New Year!!!
@@petescarport i've ended up opening that box, cleaned relay's contacts - no help. eventually replaces capacitors on the board - now all works properly. W140 1995 S320
@@mikechan2044 I was thinking same thing. I understand not forcing them on but when they have a mind of their own you have to fix problem before worrying about running them. Thanks for feedback

Do u know if the w140 back windshield glass is the same for 420 500 and the 600
as far as I know they are all identical body and glass panels. Only thing would be a short or long wheel base but that wouldn’t affect the rear glass.
Pete, in my car’s wiper the one which has a motor/motion going up and down is no longer doing it, do you have any idea what is the part for that?

If 100 bucks is "expensive" for you then you shouldn't own a Mercedes. Parts run waaaaay more than that.
