I could watch combining and tillage all day long. The sound helps me sleep at night. I'm 100% service connected disabled veteran wheel chair home bound. So I can't do much anymore. Thank you Bigtractorpower
Sunday is a good day to have. The farm run hard at harvest but values the people who all make it happen. Many family members are out their running the equipment too.
Great video BTP and the conversation with Matt is always a nice addition. The equipment used on this farm is really amazing . The size, speed and the volumes of gain harvested. Keep up the good work BTP.
A large farm in Western Australia was planting the grain crop at a rate of 16000 hectares in 16 days. 1000 hectares (2500)acres every 24 hours. I think that I have those numbers correct.
😁👍👍 They have been in 3 videos in the past week. I have their entire 2021 season filmed. I am planning on a planting to harvest series on the 21 season this winter.
It’s a big block of ground. This farm has a 1,000 acre field that is separated by a hedgerow from a 3,000 acre field a Case IH farm I film at runs. There are some wide open spaces here in WKY.
I like the way these guys are spread apart more, so the combines and tractors are not sucking in as much of each other's dust into their air filters, as compared to other operations.
I cd be wrong but I highly doubt the machines are separated for "dust reasons". It's so they're not congested to stay out of each other's way and eliminate the possibility of a collision
@@jerryzimmerman7003 You are correct in your thinking about not getting in each other's way. I have seen too many times though, that some farmers or operations follow too close, and then the combine or tractor alarms come in (if so equipped), and the engines decrease in power and they wonder why, and then they have to shutdown during prime harvest or tillage times to figure things out, and find out that it was just a dirty air filter. I just want to slap my head and say,....."DUHHHH"!!! I know some farmers check and clean the air filters early in the morning, during the times when it is not optimal conditions in the field. This way they do not have to stop during optimal harvest or tillage times, as long as they stay out of each other's dust as much as possible. Today's high HP engines suck in a lot of air.
Really good to see Matt. Great surprise. I can smell new X9's next season maybe 🤔?? Garnett Farms are awesome. Thanks Jason and I appreciate your time and drone footage. GO BTP 💪
Working hard to finish the harvest - then in a few short months all this ground will need to be planted again so they can do it all over again. Thanks for the excellent video.
Here in Kentucky it’s a few short days. After Matt harvested this field they turned around that afternoon and started disking the corn stalks and then they drill winter wheat.
Went hunting October 15 weekend and noticed these fields were already out and maybe getting ready for a second crop. Not sure. Love your videos. More big Indiana farms!!!!! Jk!
The farm I work on runs a John Deere s670. For corn we use a John Deere 608c chopping corn header and for soybeans we use a John Deere 635f draper. For grain carts we use 6 gravity wagons.
Great video Jason! I always like the videos of this farming operation. Those guys really try and get their money’s worth out of their investment on equipment!
@@kirklothert3435 they sure do. Technology these days with all the electronics really limits all the farmers ability to fix and repair themselves which would cut down the repair time. Wonder how quick they get a deere rep on site.
My boss's farm used a John Deere 9660 STS combine with an 893 manuel adjust deck plate corn head and a John Deere 8120 tractor with tinted windows pulling an A&L F705 grain cart. I ran their grain cart this year on their rented irrigation and it made 195 bu/ac on 121 acres.
All these big combines, but know one has invented a Cab Hopper for the Cab Corn yet :-) Thanks for all the great videos and the info on all the machines.
Both you fellers are very cool enjoyably people. Fun to see year after year. And what a farm Garnet is. Wow. Must be a lot of fun. If I was younger, I would love to go drive a truck or any other job available at Garnet Farms.
@@rickpederson1219 That I agree but I don't know the story and sadly it seems to be going that direction these days. I still enjoy the equipment and how they do it all ☺️
Thank you Jason! You do an awesome job with the awesome content. Very nice to see the Garnett Farms and staff in the “big” field again. We were wondering. What was the moisture running that day?A side note my wife is part of 16k farm in NW Iowa. They are running greens has well with three “12’s” . The farm uses stock choppers on there heads that do an amazing job.
Wow most people could never understand how much money it takes just to fill up the Combines with diesel fuel every day this farmer makes a lot of money but he also pays a lot of money that’s a massive operation
Fantastic video!! Can’t believe the sheer size if this field!! Biggest we have in 🇮🇪 would be 200 acres max!! They are lucky the weather is good 🤭 they have a great cutting system going on!!
@@bigtractorpower you do an excellent job with your videos, very professional and entertaining congratulations bigtractorpower, here I also work on a ranch, planting potatoes, harvesting potatoes and on the pivots greetings from burley idaho.

Good to hear they get Sunday off, gives the staff a chance to recuperate and keep the hours up for those months

Best channel which provide details video... good work
Thank you for watching. Very appreciated.
This is by far one of the best channels for farm equipment!
Meh it's a debatable.
Always great seeing Matt and his crew mates working. The lit snouts look like Airplane lighting.
When you say snouts I presume you mean the auger chute
@@michaelwalsh9145 No Mike, I mean the snouts on either end of the head were lit at the tip. Reminded me of airplane wing tips for some reason.
Boy the drone shots are great I can't imagine a field that big
Beautiful! I'm not a fan of the in-cab visits, but I do love the outside views. Makes me miss the farm.
Thank you for letting us ride along in the combine.
Last three videos have been Great !! Very good interviews with Matt, Joe, & Rick. Now you need to catch up with the King of commentary Billy G.
Stay tuned. I have a ride along with Billy in the Challenger MT 875 E on the way.
Looks like your farming to much !! Cut the small farmer out .. greed is not good !!!
Y'ALL do awesome work, it's very educational for us at home... thank you for sharing your video with us...
Thanks again for the visit to the Garrett farm 🚜 it was great 👍seeing Matt again 😀
Love to watch crews doing harvesting. It's such a ballet between the drivers. I bet this field was so pretty when it was green!

Just the scale from the air is amazing.
Great video.
Hello from New Zealand.
Thank you for watching having a drone definitely helps show the scale of the operation and field.

I think this is the first we've seen of Garnetts this year. Good to finally see them.

I stumbled on this video and it's brilliant. I'm not a farmer but a truck driver in Ireland and this looks fantastic!

2:45 is the 2800 acres just the piece they are harvesting, or is it all the corn in that shot?
It is all the corn in view and then some that is not in view. What you see being harvested is just the entrance area of the field.
The air shots really show the size of these fields.
It does give a good view.
