I'm sure it's purely coincidental that in all his videos when he is rummaging thru his stock pile of parts that whatever he needs, he not only has it but if it's 2 or 4 or 8, he has the exact number and they are always neatly in the same place. Good job and it was simple, your kids are fortunate to have an incentive and thoughtful dad
What a cool video! It’s nice to see other “like minded” people in different parts of the world doing things that I love doing myself. I especially like how organized your shop is. The only change I would make to this machine would be to install a proportional speed controller and to mount it forward so it could be controlled by the right foot. This would allow variable speed control as well as steering correction without having to stop the machine to do so. Your son is very lucky to have a father like you.
Outstanding engineering and craftsmanship! He built it in his flip-flops that's pretty hard core right there.... what a super cool dad. His son is very lucky to have such an engineer for a father.
I need a workshop with everything I need to build projects. This guy has it all at his fingertips. That machine would be great for hunting, its quiet so you don't get noticed by Deer. That is cool !!!
The only small thing I see that could of been better was the control that actually puts power to motor be a pedal. That way it frees up left hand to only operate forward or reverse on left side. Less clunky movement of machine that way
I don't know how this ended up in my feed. But, I'm glad it did. This is awesome. Without a doubt if I was wearing flip-flops doing this work I would be without toes.
saya dari Indonesia...sangat hebat karya anda sungguh luar biasa salut... kalau saja saya bisa pasti saya akan buat juga untuk cucu saya... salam sehat selalu...
Coolest idea Ive seen in a long time. simple and robust. If you refine this idea, and make it child frendly you could start a small factory and sell internationally. That goes for some of your other vehicle ideas you have too. Hope some investor se what a creative goldmine you are and that you will take the opurtunity to teach others.
Cool project 👍🏻... missing a roof for the rainy days,a seat or a pillow for a seat, lights front and back, some plastic boxes for waterproof or water resistant the batteries and is complete.
As a 70yr old, as much of an outdoorsman as possible when young, striken with the polio virus as a child, making walking a challenge, and now to the point walking is nearly impossible, this may well be the answer for me. Beats the hell out of a wheel chair of which, at this point, I refuse to use. Thanks much for sharing this.
Great! I would love to see the controls modified so that you don't have to use the throttle lever separately though. Just move the control sticks by themselves to turn and move. Would make it much more fun to use (and faster to control too)!
Great build! My house is at the bottom of a hill and my garden, shed, firewood, etc. are at the top. One of these would be great for hauling items back and forth. A lot of people could use a cart like this.
I wish you could give a main parts list and where each of these parts are generally found in used or broken equipment. Example: 1: the main drive motors are found in ..... 2: the joysticks are found in..... 3: the forward and reverse switch is from a....
Great skill, great project ! But if I had to seek out and purchase all these parts, it would not be cheap, especially those amazing motor/wheel assemblies that look like an angle grinder with a wheel attached ! Last time I walked in my shed and basement, I could not see any one of these items just lying around !
Your shed/basement will fill with these items the more you build stuff. Ask to people give you broken/faulty items they no longer need. Tear out the motors, switches, fuses, wheels whatever is suitable for your type of making separate them into categories put them appropriate boxes and over time you’ll find you’ve amassed these “bits & bobs”. You might find you’ll a need bigger shed if you need a bigger basement checkout Colin Furze on RUclips. Some people will tell it’s rubbish/junk. It’s not rubbish/junk, it’s spares/parts/stock. Ignore them they no nothing.
All direction and speed controls should be in BOTH joysticks so that you can drive with one hand on either joystick!!! You should not have to keep flipping switches while you're driving it. And those joysticks should have better functionality just like a skid steer loader!!! Hopefully that thing will pull a small utility trailer. 😀 Nice video!
@@raychambers3646 Of course I do and the truth is always very good videos, but where could I buy those engines, I still always watch your videos up to 4 times because they are super good
'turned out Real nice - Camera man gets an A+ The controls seem complicated. I'd think push forward on the right control to power the right track forward. Same for the left Pull back to make the track reverse. Then push one lever forward while pulling the other back Great paint job.
My parents built me a tank too, a ritalin pressure tank. Your kid seems alot quieter than i was, until the ritalin, then i turned into a piece of living furniture. Very groovy tank, nicer than ritalin.
Excellent video. I love the safety-toe flip-flops. :) Looking forward to make this and combining it with my push mower to make a "0° turn" mower. Excellent!
Very impressed! Really like it. The only thing I would change is throttle though. Just seems more natural to have it at the foot , and would let you hold onto the hand switches for more stability while riding.
I would put two sets of suspension wheels between the front and back wheels giving it a more terrain ride, like the electric motor idea, have to find that type of motor, or you could use hydraulic driven motors with a petrol engine to drive. Good project.
This is a very fortunate son. Dad is always making fun things.
His is #1 Son!
I don't see a toy, I see an assistant to disabled persons. Please keep up this can assist many.
As I've said in previous video's, your kids have the neatest toys. 👍🏻
Creative man, very lucky son. Brilliant project.
An amazing build for your son. Now I want one

i saw another guy build one of these , prob better in the snow than yours tho
Way too organised for me. However, being organised always helps in the build times.

That's a brilliant combination of ideas of electric motors and used tires! I Luv it, and it's scaleable!
Very creative indeed, using old
tires as tracks. Awesome 👍👍
Very good
You weren't kidding - this tank is literally about as simple as you can make them. Very impressive!
Hope to see a bigger more upgraded version soon.
maybe even with an engine also
What is it good for?
This thing looks great as an rc dolly to carry woods or luggage ect
Outstanding engineering and craftsmanship! He built it in his flip-flops that's pretty hard core right there.... what a super cool dad. His son is very lucky to have such an engineer for a father.
With that red paint job and X Y controls, its like driving an Etch A Sketch, lol. Love it!
A very clever man with so amazing skills with everything the best diy channel in RUclips 👍
Excellent skills and craftsmanship!👌👍
When I was a kid I am a fan of this man, because I love this type of creative and innovative things and videos....

Happy New Year - and what a great fun engineering project - kids should be building these at schools so they can have fun through learning.
Cool Tank CC, ur Son will enjoy it very much.. great build..

Great. I need one for my son to play with. Blessed.

Drive motors are from a electric wheel chair, reverse switch is found on Amazon, joystick I’m not quite sure
he doesnt know english.... making videos showing ppl the visible angle is already hard enough

Very cool though, looks like so much fun!
looks like a set of electric wheel chair motors simple enough

or use a foot pedal as an accelerator
Very cool. One of then coolest ive seen in a minute.
These videos are very good, but I miss seeing videos of projects that I can do as before they were simpler and we could do them with little equipment
What you mean without a welder ,pillar driller , stockpile of metal ,wheels motors etc ? All basic stuff apparently.

Fantastic execution and a fun project. What are the RPMs of the Gearmotor?

Doubt the red throttle wire should go to both controller but I like it. I have several electric wheel chair motors from making RC lawn mowers.

The controls seem complicated.
I'd think push forward on the right control to power the right track forward.
Same for the left
Pull back to make the track reverse.
Then push one lever forward while pulling the other back
Great paint job.
