Marinette has done a lot to impress me, but her standing up to Gabriel of all people made her a badass in my eyes. She didn't just openly defy him, she spat in his face.
let's not forget that the entire show is just months, almost a year even if for us was years, and let's also not also forgot that love is complicated, Adrien wasn't interacting to many people before so that's why he didn't get that Marinette loves him , I'm even surprised that it took only a year to realised that, I personally thought it will take more then just an year lol :)
well, Kagami was onto Adrien pretty fast and they got together quickly. Maybe Kagami falls ins love easily (also probably helps that Felix looks pretty much like Adrien)

1. Felix and Kagami are like two sides of the same coin. They're both socially awkward but Felix is an unstable ball of emotion while Kagami is afraid of expressing her emotions. 2. Marinette saying Gabriel's pancakes have too much flour and not enough butter is symbolic of how flour can be associated with purity and perfection and butter can be associated with satisfaction and indulgence.
Honestly Kagami and Felix make a good match Is funny to me how Felix was talking about his feeling while Kagami was ready to smack him with a chair 🤣🤣🤣

Marinette in this episode was ICONIC OH MY GODDDDD That whole pancake scene was just so LEGENDARY. There's like....four layers to what Gabriel's saying? He's offering her pancakes, he's threatening her with her career if she doesn't break up with Adrien, he's spilling some cold truths about the fashion industry (which Marinette responds to with some hot truths of her own), AND he's sneakily alluding to his role as Hawkmoth -- as someone who "creates people" to live in "the world [he] created." And then Marinette just.....claps back SO FUCKING HARD????? Holy shit!!!!!!
now just to be clear, Ladybug has not forgiven Felix for what he did in "Strike back", the only reason she is not currently going full attack mode again is because Kagami is willing to vouch for him. In terms of Kagami, she has spent her whole life trying to live up to the standards her family has set, however, after meeting Felix she is beginning to understand that her families views are wrong and she is being forced to take on traditions that are unhealthy and should not be passed onto the next generations, generational trauma at its finest. Marinette's response to Gabriel trying to force her to break up with Adrien is way different than what we saw in "Cat Blanc", the events of "Cat Blance" were not supposed to happen, Marinette was not supposed to give into Gabriel's demands, she was supposed to defend herself and she did.
I understand why they don't forgive him but if they knew the reason they would understand, Felix is a senti monster and Gabriel with the peacock miraculous aka the miraculous that could end his whole life is enough to make him do what he did
The reason why ladybug didn’t forgive him is because a Felix first of all didn’t ask for forgiveness, so why would they forgave him if he didn’t apologize like a normal person

What I find interesting about Marinette's roast towards Gabriel is that it is really true. Gabriel's perspective of fashion where he tries to create an idea of perfection that people want to reach and profit from that causes his own creations to become so tasteless and void of any creativity and emotion. Meanwhile, Marinette's perspective makes her creations to be ever dynamic and original, constantly adapting to the people's desires and personality so they can express themselves.
Gabriel talks about creating peoples desires and Marinette listening to what people want and it does mirror their powers quite nicely, Gabriel offers the illusion of choice where he creates peoples desires and gives them the costume and powers that he wants them to have whereas Marinette listens to her lucky charm that gives her what it wants and she can use that material to make whatever she needs based on what it gives her much like a fashion designer listening to her client. I just think it's neat.
Felix is truly an outstanding character. He can fight against mutliple akumatizedd villians without any super power, figuring out the secrets of Gabriel out like his wife in the basement and he being Monarch/Shadow Moth, gets the tablet with all miraculous informations, steals all the miraculous, exchanging the miraculous for the peacock one, literally commits genocide while performing a song incredibly good, deafeats technical Monarch, has a new ship and love interest within one episode. Truly the greatest character of them all. Also, props to Marinette for roasting Gabriel. One of the moments where I can actually be proud of her.
Fortunately, you HAVE sort of noticed this, and it’s VERY important. people have theorized that Kagami's amok (if she's a sentimonster) is in her RING. this makes so much sense, because that would explain why Tomoe wanted to take away Kagami's ring when she wasn't obeying. she wants Kagami's ring back so she can control her again. Because Felix stands up for sentimonsters, he made a copy of Kagami's ring previously and swapped it for the real one, so that Tomoe has the fake one and Felix has the real one. That's why, in the post credit scene, we see Felix give back the ring and say she has control of her life!! ALSO, this would explain why Felix was shocked to see Kagami's ring in Emotion (last episode). if you don't remember, he gasped when he saw her ring. the holders of the peacock miraculous can sense amoks and sentimonsters (this was proven back in season 3 when Nathalie was shocked to sense the amok in Feast). Because Felix had the same reaction with Kagami's ring, Kagami's ring must contain her amok.
Felix and Kagami are so starved of people and love they really speed ran into a relationship and they're so valid for that. Felix sensed the amok in her ring and was immediatley like. This is the only person in this world who could understand me. He was so shut in and caught up in how abuse effected himself and his cousin that he doesn't understand and never learnt to have empathy for other people or the ability to comprehend the point of view that like. Adrien and Kagami love their parents even though they're cruel. He's never made a friend before he doesn't know that stalking and kidnapping shouldn't be an option. And kagami realises that and she's like oh my god you're pathetic and an idiot but you're also confident in what you want and you'll work toward it and he cares about her and thats everything she wanted from adrien but never felt from him. Adrien and Marinette, from the hurt they've gone through are deeply afraid of loving someone and having them and their affections ripped away or used against them and getting hurt by that. They're going so slow to try and protect themselves and respect each other. Kagami and Felix are just hopeless and awkward and desperate for love and I love that they speed run the first 5 seasons worth of relationship development that adrienette went through. Felixs emotions are so pent up from being alone and he can't freely talk to adrien about it without risking giving away weakness to Gabriel so he's just like "hi kagami wanna run through paris' sewers and talk about our childhood trauma and the inherent beauty of sentient beings in this world. Also do you wanna go see a movie with me tonight 👉👈 we could hold hands." Love this episode.

Marinette was incredible this episode! I was so proud of her! From the moment she fought against Gabriel on how he views what fashion is vs what she thought fashion is to the "that's the thing about being a baker's daughter: I don't need to know your outdated pancakes are tasteless", and not backing down to be with Adrien was one of the most amazing thing I have ever seen of her! And I felt so bad for Adrien! He looked like he was fighting against himself to be down there with Marinette but it was almost like he couldn't physically defy his father (almost like a sentimonster...). And I ship Kagami and Felix. Just the way he talked to and protected her from her mother's arrows! I mean, yes he did crash the car, kidnap her, and it resulted in her mom becoming akumatised, but it did give them a chance to talk and get to know each other which resulted in a movie date.
Another great one! Emotion was already a favorite and this is just as good because of the ship. And yes since they're both in my 5 favorites, yes, I like this. Felix may be not the best socially but it's because he Kagami are almost the same, the ship works. I thought a scream or two was coming. Loved the "I'm the one who'll save you." from Felix and him opening up to her, even about Colt. This does feel like a scandal but a good one. Adrien tree was a case of opposites attract but Kagami needed a guy who was exactly like her. And maybe Amelie might like her too?
I like that Marinette was standing up to Gabriel too it was very brave and I think Felix and Kagami are cute together and perfect for each other because they are so similar.
This was my fav ep so far It kind of adds deep to felix lore the fact that he was meant to be orginal adrien (ladybug pv) like creators really cares about him and during these season made him important character to overally miraculous (mailny family agreste ) lore ❤

If felix was the origional adrien and he found out or was "imperfect/defective" he might have been replaced by the current adrien hence the 2 rings can control both adrien and felix reguardless of who holds them. Felix always tells adrien to disobay his dad and that he could do it but then rarely does at all as tho hes being controlled too. Could explain why his dad was determined to male sure adrien stayed how he wanted and home-schooled him at first. Also if adrien is a replacement for felix, they would have to look identical to make everything in the adds seem like the same person doing them ❤
@@angellawless1548 You're inventing false lore based on factors from outside of the show. When the show's creators were still early in forming the ideas of what the show would be about and still trying to secure funding to produce it, they had a short video put together as promotional material to show off to potential investors. This 2d anime-style video with no dialogue and backed by a song made up of vaguely English-sounding gibberish lyrics is known as "Miraculous PV". (PV means promotional video.) At that stage in the show's production the show would have been about Marinette (although many fans, when the PV surfaced wherever it did that fans of the show got a chance to see it, invented the name Bridgette for this version of her, but she would've been very similar in personality to what eventually went into the final product) and Felix (who would've been significantly older than Marinette and he would've been an employee at a library and his personality would've been similar to how Gabriel turned out in the final product) as the heroes. The love square idea was in place back then with Marinette / Ladybug liking Felix and with Felix / Cat Noir liking Ladybug. Hawkmoth would've been operating out in the open with some sort of blimp lair hanging over Paris, and the akumatized villains seemed like they would've been in action on a much more long term basis (permanent?) instead of the one at a time "villain of the day" format that went into the final product. I have no idea if Gabriel was Hawkmoth in that stage of production. (I don't think Gabriel was even shown in the PV?) I've heard claims that the show's writing had been planned to take a much darker tone during this early planning stage. But after they got investors and started actual production of the show a lot of the original concepts got rewritten (in particular, Felix got erased and they invented Adrien in his place) and they were pushed to give it a lighter tone. (I'd imagine as an example of this that Ladybug's magic reversal of all damage done by the villains probably wouldn't have been a thing in the original concept for the show.) As far as the lore within the show is concerned, Adrien and Felix came into existence at the same time by being created as the children of twin sisters Emilie and Amelie. (At least I don't think they're presented as coming about at different times from each other? There's an episode that will spell it out for us. I think this channel is still a few videos away from reacting to that one.) And that's it. Neither one is a replacement for the other. EDIT: There probably is some weird hijinks at play where the twin rings split the essence of a single amok, or something. At least that's what I'm going to guess. The magic of the Miraculous has been seen to be able to work in weird ways sometimes. We've seen at least a couple examples of a single akuma being able to create multiple villains, like when Alya's twin sisters were transformed into those replicating gremlin things or when half a dozen of Marinette's friends were all transformed as a group into all the separate villain forms that they had previously been transformed into.

I watched this episode a few weeks ago when it was only available in French. I only understood about half of what was going on as my French isn't that great. During the Felix confessing to Kagami scene, I could tell that he was confessing his feelings to her. But I couldn't really understand the dialogue. Now watching you react to it in English, it's way funnier than I thought it was lol. Also, Marinette's burn on Gabriel's pancakes was brutal, I also understood that she was giving a sick burn, but I didn't expect it to be that scalding lol.
The fashion debate between Gabriel and Marinette is definitely my favorite moment in the show, it was such a perfect representation of their characters and how they grew up while also being the real first time these two shown their true selves without the costumes. So sick

I'm not sure why it wasn't shown, but Tomoe also seems to have been granted Clout (Tiger Miraculous), as evidenced by the color of the blast one of her copies causes under the Eiffel Tower In any case, I really liked this episode. Marinette telling off Gabriel is one of the most cathartic scenes in the whole show, not to mention how that whole dynamic reflects their antagonism as Ladybug and Monarch
@@DFeligamiAdrizoeSworaDennisFan okay so Hades is King of the underworld Persephone is the goddess of spring and her mother Demeter is the goddess of agriculture now Hades being King of the underworld and God of the Dead had strong feelings for Persephone he didn't know the how to express himself or tell her so he asked his brother Zeus and came up with the idea to kidnap Persephone as a romantic gesture. Persephone was really against him at first because of course she would be but the more she came to understand Hades find out what kind of a softie he is and how much you truly cares for everyone and all the souls in his domain she falls in love with him. Persephone's mother Demeter did not like this went on a whole tirate to try to find her but by the time she did find her Persephone ate a pomegranate from the underworld and became bound to the underworld. Ultimately a deal was made but during springtime Persephone would go topside and do her goddess of spring stuff.
I sincerely doubt Tomoe's wish is simply for a successful company, which she already seems to have. From how strict she is and other clues I suspect she has a way how she wants the world to work and the only way she could get that is by making the wish.
I really don't know how I should feel with Felix shipped up with Kagami (I mean Kagami did want perfection out of Adrien, so I guess Felix is technically close to being the next best thing); let alone to as well as Felix~Argos as a Hero now

This whole episode is really well done but also really messed up seeing just how badly the adults are and have been treating their children. The absolute fear and terror on Adrien's face when he's in his room really helps in expressing how helpless he is in standing against his father and how worried he is about Marinette being left alone with him. I really love the scene between Marinette and Gabriel. Seeing how dark and controlling Gabriel is while seeing how much joy and happiness Marinette truly wants to bring into the world. We also get to see that wonderful confident side of Marinette which I love seeing so much. I absolutely love her "I don't even need to try them to know they're tasteless!", its SO GOOD! Also, I think she couldn't give herself the power of tracking, because didn't Nathalie give herself that power? And wasn't there a limit to that Miraculous where you couldn't be given the same power as one somebody else has had or something along those lines? I could be wrong though. lol This episode honestly made me love Felix and ship Kagami and Felix very strongly by the end. Felix's line "You never met my father. He was 1000 times worse" REALLY makes me wonder just what he did. I hate Gabriel sooooo much! *Shipping of KagamixFelix intensifies.*

8:45 to be fair Luz finally got together with Amity because Hooty who is technically Luz’s butler kidnapped Amity and brought her to Luz so she could ask her out
The difference is is that Luz NEVER asked Hooty to abduct her in the first place. Also, they had time to establish a friendship and got to know one another before becoming girlfriends. So it's not like Luz stalked Amity for a long time without her knowing. And even when given an opportunity to do so (Yesterday's Lie), she was able to stop herself.

Say what you will about Marinette, but some of her best moments are when she’s fed up with being so scared of expressing her emotions to anyone who isn’t a kwami or Alya. Is she a great character? Debatable, but she knows how to step up when need be, and I enjoy that.
Marinette standing up for herself represents her character development over the past 5 seasons. If this were in season one, she would crack down and panic, or only do it as Ladybug. But here she did it without any mask or magic, best girl bar none.

Gabriel's perspective of fashion where he tries to create an idea of perfection that people want to reach and profit from that causes his own creations to become so tasteless and void of any creativity and emotion. Meanwhile, Marinette's perspective makes her creations to be ever dynamic and original, constantly adapting to the people's desires and personality so they can express themselves.

Felix and Kagami, two of the most serious characters of the Team.
Marinette right up insulting Gabriel in HIS OWN HOUSE was pure gold! I’ve never been as proud of her I think.
Gabriel talks about creating peoples desires and Marinette listening to what people want and it does mirror their powers quite nicely, Gabriel offers the illusion of choice where he creates peoples desires and gives them the costume and powers that he wants them to have whereas Marinette listens to her lucky charm that gives her what it wants and she can use that material to make whatever she needs based on what it gives her much like a fashion designer listening to her client. I just think it's neat.
Felix is truly an outstanding character. He can fight against mutliple akumatizedd villians without any super power, figuring out the secrets of Gabriel out like his wife in the basement and he being Monarch/Shadow Moth, gets the tablet with all miraculous informations, steals all the miraculous, exchanging the miraculous for the peacock one, literally commits genocide while performing a song incredibly good, deafeats technical Monarch, has a new ship and love interest within one episode. Truly the greatest character of them all.
Also, props to Marinette for roasting Gabriel. One of the moments where I can actually be proud of her.
Fortunately, you HAVE sort of noticed this, and it’s VERY important.
people have theorized that Kagami's amok (if she's a sentimonster) is in her RING. this makes so much sense, because that would explain why Tomoe wanted to take away Kagami's ring when she wasn't obeying.
she wants Kagami's ring back so she can control her again. Because Felix stands up for sentimonsters, he made a copy of Kagami's ring previously and swapped it for the real one, so that Tomoe has the fake one and Felix has the real one.
That's why, in the post credit scene, we see Felix give back the ring and say she has control of her life!!
ALSO, this would explain why Felix was shocked to see Kagami's ring in Emotion (last episode). if you don't remember, he gasped when he saw her ring. the holders of the peacock miraculous can sense amoks and sentimonsters (this was proven back in season 3 when Nathalie was shocked to sense the amok in Feast).
Because Felix had the same reaction with Kagami's ring, Kagami's ring must contain her amok.
Felix and Kagami are so starved of people and love they really speed ran into a relationship and they're so valid for that. Felix sensed the amok in her ring and was immediatley like. This is the only person in this world who could understand me. He was so shut in and caught up in how abuse effected himself and his cousin that he doesn't understand and never learnt to have empathy for other people or the ability to comprehend the point of view that like. Adrien and Kagami love their parents even though they're cruel. He's never made a friend before he doesn't know that stalking and kidnapping shouldn't be an option. And kagami realises that and she's like oh my god you're pathetic and an idiot but you're also confident in what you want and you'll work toward it and he cares about her and thats everything she wanted from adrien but never felt from him.
Adrien and Marinette, from the hurt they've gone through are deeply afraid of loving someone and having them and their affections ripped away or used against them and getting hurt by that. They're going so slow to try and protect themselves and respect each other.
Kagami and Felix are just hopeless and awkward and desperate for love and I love that they speed run the first 5 seasons worth of relationship development that adrienette went through. Felixs emotions are so pent up from being alone and he can't freely talk to adrien about it without risking giving away weakness to Gabriel so he's just like "hi kagami wanna run through paris' sewers and talk about our childhood trauma and the inherent beauty of sentient beings in this world. Also do you wanna go see a movie with me tonight 👉👈 we could hold hands."
Love this episode.
The whole thing with Felix following Kagami is pretty weird, but does make more sense from the perspective that they are sentimonsters. In what is Felix’s confession to Kagami, I suppose is then also him explaining how when he discovered there was another sentimonster child, he started to follow her in order to learn more about her. This was until he finally decided to set Kagami free by kidnapping her and taking her away from anyone who could possibly attempt to control her with her amok.

Marinette was incredible this episode! I was so proud of her! From the moment she fought against Gabriel on how he views what fashion is vs what she thought fashion is to the "that's the thing about being a baker's daughter: I don't need to know your outdated pancakes are tasteless", and not backing down to be with Adrien was one of the most amazing thing I have ever seen of her!
And I felt so bad for Adrien! He looked like he was fighting against himself to be down there with Marinette but it was almost like he couldn't physically defy his father (almost like a sentimonster...).
And I ship Kagami and Felix. Just the way he talked to and protected her from her mother's arrows! I mean, yes he did crash the car, kidnap her, and it resulted in her mom becoming akumatised, but it did give them a chance to talk and get to know each other which resulted in a movie date.
Another great one! Emotion was already a favorite and this is just as good because of the ship. And yes since they're both in my 5 favorites, yes, I like this.
Felix may be not the best socially but it's because he Kagami are almost the same, the ship works. I thought a scream or two was coming. Loved the "I'm the one who'll save you." from Felix and him opening up to her, even about Colt.
This does feel like a scandal but a good one. Adrien tree was a case of opposites attract but Kagami needed a guy who was exactly like her. And maybe Amelie might like her too?
Amelie will like everyone as long as they make her son happy
I like that Marinette was standing up to Gabriel too it was very brave and I think Felix and Kagami are cute together and perfect for each other because they are so similar.

If felix was the origional adrien and he found out or was "imperfect/defective" he might have been replaced by the current adrien hence the 2 rings can control both adrien and felix reguardless of who holds them.
Felix always tells adrien to disobay his dad and that he could do it but then rarely does at all as tho hes being controlled too.
Could explain why his dad was determined to male sure adrien stayed how he wanted and home-schooled him at first.
Also if adrien is a replacement for felix, they would have to look identical to make everything in the adds seem like the same person doing them ❤

When the show's creators were still early in forming the ideas of what the show would be about and still trying to secure funding to produce it, they had a short video put together as promotional material to show off to potential investors. This 2d anime-style video with no dialogue and backed by a song made up of vaguely English-sounding gibberish lyrics is known as "Miraculous PV". (PV means promotional video.) At that stage in the show's production the show would have been about Marinette (although many fans, when the PV surfaced wherever it did that fans of the show got a chance to see it, invented the name Bridgette for this version of her, but she would've been very similar in personality to what eventually went into the final product) and Felix (who would've been significantly older than Marinette and he would've been an employee at a library and his personality would've been similar to how Gabriel turned out in the final product) as the heroes. The love square idea was in place back then with Marinette / Ladybug liking Felix and with Felix / Cat Noir liking Ladybug. Hawkmoth would've been operating out in the open with some sort of blimp lair hanging over Paris, and the akumatized villains seemed like they would've been in action on a much more long term basis (permanent?) instead of the one at a time "villain of the day" format that went into the final product. I have no idea if Gabriel was Hawkmoth in that stage of production. (I don't think Gabriel was even shown in the PV?) I've heard claims that the show's writing had been planned to take a much darker tone during this early planning stage. But after they got investors and started actual production of the show a lot of the original concepts got rewritten (in particular, Felix got erased and they invented Adrien in his place) and they were pushed to give it a lighter tone. (I'd imagine as an example of this that Ladybug's magic reversal of all damage done by the villains probably wouldn't have been a thing in the original concept for the show.)
As far as the lore within the show is concerned, Adrien and Felix came into existence at the same time by being created as the children of twin sisters Emilie and Amelie. (At least I don't think they're presented as coming about at different times from each other? There's an episode that will spell it out for us. I think this channel is still a few videos away from reacting to that one.) And that's it. Neither one is a replacement for the other.
EDIT: There probably is some weird hijinks at play where the twin rings split the essence of a single amok, or something. At least that's what I'm going to guess. The magic of the Miraculous has been seen to be able to work in weird ways sometimes. We've seen at least a couple examples of a single akuma being able to create multiple villains, like when Alya's twin sisters were transformed into those replicating gremlin things or when half a dozen of Marinette's friends were all transformed as a group into all the separate villain forms that they had previously been transformed into.

I watched this episode a few weeks ago when it was only available in French. I only understood about half of what was going on as my French isn't that great. During the Felix confessing to Kagami scene, I could tell that he was confessing his feelings to her. But I couldn't really understand the dialogue. Now watching you react to it in English, it's way funnier than I thought it was lol. Also, Marinette's burn on Gabriel's pancakes was brutal, I also understood that she was giving a sick burn, but I didn't expect it to be that scalding lol.
The fashion debate between Gabriel and Marinette is definitely my favorite moment in the show, it was such a perfect representation of their characters and how they grew up while also being the real first time these two shown their true selves without the costumes. So sick

In any case, I really liked this episode. Marinette telling off Gabriel is one of the most cathartic scenes in the whole show, not to mention how that whole dynamic reflects their antagonism as Ladybug and Monarch

Persephone was really against him at first because of course she would be but the more she came to understand Hades find out what kind of a softie he is and how much you truly cares for everyone and all the souls in his domain she falls in love with him. Persephone's mother Demeter did not like this went on a whole tirate to try to find her but by the time she did find her Persephone ate a pomegranate from the underworld and became bound to the underworld. Ultimately a deal was made but during springtime Persephone would go topside and do her goddess of spring stuff.

This whole episode is really well done but also really messed up seeing just how badly the adults are and have been treating their children.
The absolute fear and terror on Adrien's face when he's in his room really helps in expressing how helpless he is in standing against his father and how worried he is about Marinette being left alone with him.
I really love the scene between Marinette and Gabriel. Seeing how dark and controlling Gabriel is while seeing how much joy and happiness Marinette truly wants to bring into the world. We also get to see that wonderful confident side of Marinette which I love seeing so much.

The difference is is that Luz NEVER asked Hooty to abduct her in the first place. Also, they had time to establish a friendship and got to know one another before becoming girlfriends. So it's not like Luz stalked Amity for a long time without her knowing.
And even when given an opportunity to do so (Yesterday's Lie), she was able to stop herself.

I kinda mad about the heroes being so paranoid trying to take Felicia miraculous back when he us the only one smart enough to use it plus he had to sacrifice some stuff for it like his relationship with his cousin after betraying him
Say what you will about Marinette, but some of her best moments are when she’s fed up with being so scared of expressing her emotions to anyone who isn’t a kwami or Alya. Is she a great character? Debatable, but she knows how to step up when need be, and I enjoy that.
Marinette standing up for herself represents her character development over the past 5 seasons.
If this were in season one, she would crack down and panic, or only do it as Ladybug.
But here she did it without any mask or magic, best girl bar none.
I can’t wait for revelation
