The movie did in an hour what the series couldn't do in 5 seasons.

I am so glad someone agree’s with me, like how it feels so jarring and like don’t get me wrong, she sounds great! But she dont sound like Marinette. I couldn’t really focus on the songs on 1st time watch -v-;
@@Butterenthusiasts no it wasn't Bryce singing, according to Spotify it's a singer called Square. I may have gotten their spelling incorrect, but it certainly wasn't Bryce.
I loved how Adrien was actually allowed to feel things outside of the love square this movie. Like his mom being dead and his dad sucking. It’s gotten better, but so often he just isn’t feeling anything about that stuff. This movie did it so well.
Like fr like Keith's voice and song is just chef kisses but ofc I love also the other songs but just Chaos reigns today is just my fav. And I'm happy they didn't make Gabriel into a psychopath who has such a unhealthy obsesseion with bringing his wife from the dead but they just made Gabriel a emotional and understanding character. Have a nice day/night
I loved the movie but wish it was paced better and that we had more interactions with plagg and adrien. Her movie dress was gorgeous and as a cosplayer I would love to recreate it. I made a dress similar for a cosplay of her a couple of years ago but the movie dress is just breathtaking.
Personally out of the Movies I have seen that came out this year, I would have to say that Miraculous: The Movie is personally my 7th Favorite Movie of this Year.
I thought the movie was really amazing! I think a lot of fans that were disappointed by it tend to forget that it's made for people that have never seen this show before, and I think it succeeded in developing their relationship and showcasing the concept of their powers in a way that wouldn't be confusing for a general audience. As an example, both my mother and my sister watched it and let me know that they weren't confused about anything. They've never seen a single second of the show (Though my sister might now, she really enjoyed the movie). And I, of course, was just GUSHING over how beautiful it was and their songs!!! The singer they cast for Cat Noir was so perfect, I didn't expect him to match Bryce's voice so well. Excited to see what they do with a sequel!
Some aspects of the movie is pretty messy, but overall I enjoyed it. The animation and the songs are beautiful. I’m obsessed with the magician and mime akumatized villains they are so cool!
The kwami’s were done dirty and imo we could have used more Chat Noir moments. They did undermine his character a bit but the show also does that so 🤷♀️ I’m just happy to finally get closure on some kind of identity reveal and the final battle and Hawk Moth reveal actually made me emotional and feel some sympathy for Gabriel vs the show
I like to think her motivation would be that she was also in love with emile as a child, but was too late to confess, with her wish being to go back in time to confess to Emilie.
In Courage In Me Song, I was hoping we could see Ladybug predecessors being there for Marinette when she transformed the second time. Kind of like what Joan of Arc did for her in the series.
I feel like they did the song "carless whispers" right. They first put it as a romance song, like everyone thought.. but then put it again as a break-up song, like how it really was. I lived this movie, especially since they didnt play around with their relationship. Its funny how me and my bf said Gabriel went from looking like Dante, to Vergil in five seconds.. with the hair X,,D
No honestly, if the movie was to be apart from the series then it gave us not a lot reasons for growth. What got me was when Adrien finally snaps at Gabriel
I liked the movie and I loved parts of it. The animation and art design was beautiful! It definitely overcame the animation weaknesses of the series. I loved how everything looked, the characters, background, objects, clothing, even the mystical designs were so fantastic! I LOVED seeing Gabriel actually be a fashion designer - we never really get to see that in the show. Yeah, sometimes, we'll see projects in the room or they'll be a few moments with him barking orders on the phone or over a video chat, but otherwise, in the show, Gabriel is so focused on Hawk Moth stuff 24/7. I also liked how Fu and Marinette met ... rather than intentionally faking himself in danger to find his heroes. It might sound bad for me to say, but I think him genuinely being in danger and Marinette genuinely saving him was a good direction choice. The pacing and the music, however... throw me off, sadly. It was hard to get immersed - the music numbers didn't entirely fit into the scenes for me. And having different singing voice actors was a MISTAKE. Especially for Christina V - that was very, very obviously not her... it did not sound like Christina or like Marinette/Lady Bug. Her voice was very smooth R&B while Christina has a cute pop sound. It wasn't as bad for Adrien - the singer was passing. Still obviously not Bryce but no where near as much of a difference. They're pretty songs and the voices are lovely, but it was distracting and broke my immersion.
I Loved it, it was a bit hard to ignore the singing Voice was so drastically different, But Even though i was BEGGING like halfway through for them to end up together at the end, even thought in the show it usually didnt end well but this is a movie it different i dont care look how cute they are together- but like; i wasn't expecting it to Actually Happen, the whole time i couldnt believe it and something felt wrong like PTSD because of what the show put me through XD and when Hawkmoth just GAVE UP when he saw it was Adrien i was like Oh FR??? On God???? ...Just like that??? like if only it were that simple in the show, but theyve literally DONE it in the show and Gabriel just didnt care or used it to his advantage so it's nice to see him have a heart i guess
My main problems with the movie: 1. Plagg wasn't even introduced until way later (and he was introduced by farting?) 2. Adrien didn't really have a reason to have the miraculous... he didn't save anyone. 3. the powers weren't explained at all, the cataclysm basically came out of nowhere.. Adrien and Gabriel don't really seem to have any relationship either, they have like 5 minutes on screen together minus the ending. None of the scenes in the movie impressed me as much as the series. In summary, the movie is 6/10 for me and I don't understand people's admiration..
Ikr,If this movie was an 1 season show, with us having enough time to see more caracter growth from Nino, alya, chleo, Sabrina, adrien, Marinette, Gabriel and Natalie, also some more dynamics and caracters development It would have been perfect, maybe and not a so rush final, like the whole movie just slower in 1 season it could have been the best thing ever The movie is in the right direction It's just the story isn't exactly made for an 1 hour and 40 minutes movie I wish we could have seen Marinette getting confident(not alr being after the montages) Gabriel losing it Adrien maybe not coming home more nights, and talking back to his back, maybe some interesting dynamics More of Natalie and what she thinks More Nino and adrien, Marinette and alya dynamics And Chleo getting to respect Marinette Maybe seeing master fu or nooro giving us more info Explaining powers More tikki and Marinette, adrien and plagg It would have been perfect (The movie is good tbh) This is what the show shoudl have been😭😭😭 It would have been amazing
Your 2nd complain doesn't make sense. As you can see, miraculouses chose their owners themselves, basically Tikki chose Marinette and Plagg chose Adrien
I feel like the only one who didn't mind the transition between Lou's and Cristina's voices and was in LOVE with Lou's singing voice, I feel lonely 😢/lh
The movie has both good and bad. The bad often lies in the vein of “tell don’t show”, as well as the transitions between scenes as you mentioned. The good parts lie in developing more of the relationship between Adrian his situation at home, as well as other more minute details. Not to mention the flawless animation and amazing songs P.S. I’m a little disappointed that the singers don’t try to match the voices of their VA counterparts, and the completely ruined Plagg
One thing that’s really interesting to me actually about the movie is that it seems like there is a general mix of reactions from the general public lol fans or not. I personally loved it, but I agree the differences between Lou & Cristina were so jarring in places. The music felt really mid to me after the first watch (1 song maybe stood out) but after streaming it, I really like it!! The movie made me appreciate ladynoir A LOT more which was funny because I’ve always been an adrienette stan- the stronger together duet & play fighting scenes were to die for!! I really just wish I could have seen it in a theater for a better viewing experience. ):
I was always a lady noir fan and loved their dynamic so maybe that’s why I love it so much lol. And idk the songs (except Hawk Moths and maybe the beginning) were rily well written and felt true to the characters
the different voice acting isn’t a direction thing at all!lol it’s just the voice actors using their normal voice instead the voice they use when the become their characters
I feel like Emilie's voice as Gabriel did fashion work still would've been too heavy handed. What if one of the dresses had been similar to Emilie's dress? Or better still, Gabriel's instructions turned their work into something like her dress, showing that she's always on his mind? Side note, Tikki's "break it down" in her intro song had me dying. One of the earliest fan works I came across had Tikki obsessed with Hip Hop, to the point that she insisted on Marinette making bling in her size! This moment brought all of that back for me
Honestly, I really liked the reveal at the end of the movie as well as the way that Gabriel just fell apart when he realized he'd been fighting his son. He's just a super broken father and I feel that's a more realistic reaction. I had my issues with the movie but that just really stuck with me.
I know that watching Zamber reacting to the movie will be amazing, but i thought that we will see her watching Revelation (5x20) which is an amazing episode
@@shadamyandsonamylover I mean Season 5 and the movie are it’s own thing. So not watching the English dub of Ep 21-26 the viewers won’t be missing anything
@@littlesparrow303 I watched it all subbed when it came out, but I agree the finale was super underwhelming. The fight choreography was good, the designs were cool, but for the love of God we didn’t get the one thing we were promised and also they missed a huge opportunity calling it Ladynoir. I’m very glad the movie is its own thing lol I hope the sequel will be more aptly written for the run time.
the movie was ok, but its understandable since they had to be quick about it. The characters were overall the same, but they had to cut down on a lot of their character traits and change a few things to save time. In the movie, Marinette was still a weird self conscious girl, but she did not have the same weight of responsibilities and traumatic experiences as her show counterpart. Adrien was still a sweet guy who cared for others while struggling with his fathers distance and the loss of his mom, but he had his freedom and did not grow up with the same restrictions and modeling job as his show counterpart. Movie Gabriel genuinely still cared for his family and stopped the moment he found out Cat Noir was Adrien, while his show counterpart went insane and became corrupted by his obsession and power.
I get what you mean but Marinette wasn’t over the top with plans, wasn’t stalking & acted like a normal teen girl even after getting rejected. For Adrien, I liked that he did talk back to his dad & wore headphones to avoid talking to people since he was down about his mom.
You know what came to my mind just now? In the series she never got the Butterfly Miraculous back and gave it to Master Fu as was original intended but here she has. This is like a actual finally of Master Fu. Also they know there identities. I'm gonna guess that final part with Emily and Nathalie is a future sequel?
I really enjoyed this movie when it first came out. The animation was great. The action was amazing. And the songs are catchy. I personally like the Miraculous Theme Song Remix. I also like that Hawkmoth akumatized himself with the butterfly miraculous on. Could have opened a lot of possibly in the show. That said, I only have a few nit picks. 1: We did not get a lucky charm. And 2: That small voice transition after Courage in me. Otherwise, this movie was really good and I’d give it a 9/10.
So, you didn't think that Plagg being reduced as a fart joke was impolite? Or that Chloe saying '' Adrien likes me! '' made no sense because we never saw them talking together. Or that Marinette got 4 songs and Chat just one which is very rude to the fans of this character? Or that their relation was rushed? Ladybug said '' He's annoying! '' to Tikki then after the fair she said to him '' Your ma partner! '' that was weird 🤨All this didn't bother you or annoy you a bit?
@@ladypool1404or the fact that cat noir didn't get an transformation animation😭😭😭😭😭 I am telling you, this movie needed more screen time, the story is for a movie but for an show We needed more caracter growth and dynamics to feel like they were complete We needed more screen time
Is this movie flawless? Not even close. Do I appreciate the different direction they took with the Miraculous Holders Arcs and the limits (or reduction there of) on their powers? Very much so, actuality. In some ways, this is still very much the usual Miraculous fair. In others, they really took full advantage of this being a different continuity and gave some story beats that we never could have gotten in the main series. Especially with that ending there. It's interesting that Natalie looks like she'll take over the movies' villain role while the main series is moving her arc in more so the opposite direction as far as I know. Also, hot dang, Hawkmoth really shot for my top 10 non-disney villain songs, and made a solid play for a spot on that list.
In my opinion people who liked the movie's portrayals of the characters are just adding aspects of the show characters onto them. Like i can’t imagine someone actually thinking adrien and marinette were more likeable in the movie than the show. They are just selecting the aspects of them they like the from the show and putting them on the movie characters to make their favorite version. In the movie, Adrien wasn’t shy, reserved, innocent and naive. He didn’t show any act of kindness, empathy or forgiveness. He didn’t seem to have any unfamiliarity with the world beyond his home. He didn't seem to struggle making friends. And for Marinette, she is just a generic protagonist. Reminded me a lot of Disney characters like Elsa. In the show, Marinette is someone who helps those who have insecurities. She cares deeply for others, putting their feelings and interests before her own. Movie Marinette is the one insecure about herself and some inspirational one-liners are enough to gain her confidence. In the show, Marinette while still struggling with self-confidence and self-esteem, that‘s not her entire personality. Marinette’s arc of accepting to be Ladybug in the Origins episode felt real and natural but the movie arc was just filled with meaningless songs and cliche one liners. They both fell for each other over bare minimum interactions. Marinette didn’t fall for Adrien because he showed vulnerability and opened his heart to her but because he tried to help her up after being weirded out by her. She thought he was attractive and that’s it. And it goes to nowhere as she starts having romantic moments with Cat Noir. Honestly the plot of Marinette falling for Adrien is pointless. Their development happens through a montage. They tried to force the lovesquare but it just didn't work. Cat Noir didn’t fall for Ladybug because she is intelligent, confident and strong but because she saved him from crushing under a train. Again, another bare minimum interaction. The only argument people who prefer movie Adrienette have is that Marinette can properly talk to Adrien… And that just makes me really angry because that is both untrue and very insensitive. Anyway I’m tired. Maybe I’ll edit this later and add more of my thoughts.
Thank you! I've tried to explain this multiple times. In the movie the characters don't have any growth. The show may have bad writing but at least they don't give them plain aspects
There will be a second and third movie, I don't know if Nathalie will be the next main antagonist of the second movie since Gabriel is in jail. They'll need Carapace, Rena Rouge & Queen Bee in the next movie.
Everything wrong with the movie: • There was practically ZERO Adrienette. • They never explained that they couldn't reveal their identities and why •The movie is too short to add so many songs AND tell this huge story from start to finish. (It needed at least more 30 minutes) • Ladynoir had limited and forced development before "Stronger Together" •The song "Reaching Out" was irrelevant to the specific scene and plot, and it was the FOURTH song about Marinette believing in herself (there were seven). It also didn't make sense, since she was supposed to be sad over Adrien but sang about crap that wasn't even related. • The fight sequence was forced, cringy and Gabriel's redemption didn't have enough buildup for it to leave a touching feeling. • The last battle was too short, and the heroes were defeated immediately. No elegant fight, just a pity win. • Random, Lazy Dialogues between the characters • They never explained WHY it would be bad to make the ultimate wish to bring Adrien's mom back (that made them look like the bad guys lol) • Chloe kept talking about Adrien but they never interacted, so it was unclear if they even knew each other. • Lacked the flirting of Ladynoir (not passive aggressive bickering), and the Friendliness of Adrienette. • "My Lady" and "Bugaboo" (FAR better than "Watermelon" and "Sidekick") • The final Kiss was cut off, as if the movie hadn't been disappointing enough. Let's demand an Extended Director's Cut...
one of my favs song is alone again by Adrien but idk why in the netflix version of the film it doesnt exist hahaha in spotify it is in the og playlist, and in the premiere it was also, so sad that here no
omg there were so many missed opportunities in this movie causing some conflict in scenes, like for example the plagg scene. they did him so wrong but omg nonetheless I LOVED THIS MOVIE SM!! i’ve rewatched it 6 times and the songs are on loop! but still omg

Pros and cons for me about the movie: PROS: Gorgeous animation Really liked how the Kwamis have more independence to choose their holders, it makes Fu look less of a incompetent, and also i really like Fu in general in this movie, he has a bit more of a personality and he's pretty fun Liked movie Marinette, she seems to be more of an actual human being and doesn't have her creepy tendencies Liked Adrien too, he has a bit of a different personality, but I actually like angsty Adrien, and also how much Cat Noir seems to exist as an equal to Ladybug Really loved Ladynoir, even more than i like then in the show Really liked how Gabriel was in the movie, we even saw a bit of him in his job as a designer (SOMETHING WE NEVER SEE IN THE SHOW), he felt lot more "pathetic" in a way, he is still cold and distant from Adrien but not in a "'I'll forbid you to leave this house" type of way, but more in a "I hate myself too much to actually talk to my son, he doesn't deserve me and should have his mother" Like, when Adrien screams at him bro was helpless, if it was Gabriel from the Show he would have been like "HOW DARE YOU" Liked how Sabrine was less of a evil minion in the movie, i actually can feel bad for her, Sabrina in the show had many moments where she was actually ENJOYING being evil Great music OH MY GOD GABRIEL HAS A HEART CONS: Kinda missed a bit of unhinged Marinette, we saw her a bit like that but still, i understand why tho, she was in half of the movie in her "origins" personality Kinda missed a bit of sunshine Adrien, but i get it why, guy lost his mom Some music felt missplaced Missed Christina Vee singing Wanted the movie to be longe, felt rushed
I hate how terribly they ruined Plagg and his relationship with Adrien, it literally was non-existent and Plagg was just reduced to a braindead walking unfunny fart joke😭
Tbh, this story isn’t a strong edition of the show. Like what’s the point of making this if it doesn't have an amazingly strong storyline? Animation is gorgeous but we’ve come so far in animation that every movie is pretty nowadays. Visuals can’t carry a movie unless it’s something exceptional like Spiderverse. (Which I think the story is just as great)
I mean the purpose of the movie was just a simple retelling, or even just like an updated hour and a half version of the show condensed. it isn’t meant to have over the top 100% amazing storytelling quality
I feel like I'm on the unpopular opinion side of things because to me the movie was just messy idk. The animation is gorgeous tho! I also want to add that before seeing it with my friends in the theatre I did not know it was a musical. When Marinette stepped into the street and started singing... that was a moment Edit: I want to be clear. My rather strong dislike of this movie does not lie in objective faults. It's a personal thing. I never expected to like it. I do think it genuinely had some issues with the writing, but it really is mostly personal 😭
1. I agree any time there is a romantic song from one to another that is all i can hear too... 2. If Gabriel knows...what is the meaning of the end? The butterfly miraculous is returned so will Natalie become the new villain with the peacock? Gabe already knows the identities... 3. When do we really have closure against Lila/Cerise/pathalogical Liar? I really just want to see her completely put in her place against everyone that has ever believed her lies...
I just watched this movie last night at work and let me say that scene when he was playing the piano and singing with ladybug IT PISSED ME OFF BECAUSE SHE REJECTED HIM 😭😭
I think while it has its flaws the movie was extremely great! Also, both second and third movie are in production already, second is in the writing phase and was once again confirmed for 2026 (but possible it will be pushed on)
I feel like Marinette’s singing didn’t match the character and plag was always just farting I was expecting plag to be more funny and energetic but over all I loved the movie especially the end!
I think _one of_ my only big gripes in this movie is the clear difference between some singing voices compared to speaking voices. They couldve tried harder to find similar voices or made the VAs train in singing. Also the lyrics in Chat Noirs' song to Ladybug are different... I wont lie, the French version is alot more romantic ;;
Omg, here in Germany i watched the movie in the cinema two times and we didn't get to see the basement scene! And i stayed during the whole credits. And unfortunately, we can't see the movie on german Netflix. 😭
Totally agree as well. The series designs while not the prettiest, are pleasing to look at in proportions. But if in the show their eyes were already big, in this movie they look like 10 year olds
Marinette: making up her mind about not being ladybug Tikki: "Im about to kick your butt if you dont start to listen, im about all of patience making your *decision* "
I was talking about the clip right before my talk that the speaking voiced dialogue sounds different from each break of dialogue. Resulting in some of the lines sounding like they are from a different person. If you listen to my full thought, I mention even chloe's voice actress sounded off at different points of the movie.
I felt really disappointed the movie wasn't cracked up to what i expected and i don't mind song's in movies but seriously did they really have to be so fuckin long like bruh 90% of the songs took up half the movie and not only that didn't really get to explore some important details the animation and the character designs are beautiful but other than that it felt meh
@@passarovoador6662 even if it was 13 mins or more it still took up half the movie I'm sure nobody would have complained about the songs if it didn't and you can still explore the animation without the songs
@@passarovoador6662 Hmmm its more like 20 minutes. But i feel like some of the songs, especially reaching out, just don't fit. At all. They could have done with a few less songs. Keep "If i believed in me" "You are ladybug" "Chaos reigns today" "Courage in me" and "Stronger together" and get rid of all the other songs. Especially reaching out.
• I thought I was the only one that felt like everyone had three different friggin voices in this film. • The action scenes were cool, but the last battle could’ve been longer and more dramatic. • I didn’t mind most of the subtle differences from the show, including the lore and the power sets of the Miraculous. • The duet song was the only good one. • We actually got Reveals that weren’t illusions or f***ed up by time travel crap.
Well they did explain it in an interview The movie only took place in 3 months the final battle was in October. Marinette hasn’t fully discovered her abilities as ladybug yet
I would imagine the next movie We will see rena, queen bee and carapace. Mayura will probably break Gabriel out of prison and maby marinettes and Adrien’s identety is revealed to the other 3. and then a third movie could be the other heroes

Maybe dying by corrupted/broken miraculous keeps you pristine lol

I feel like they did the song "carless whispers" right. They first put it as a romance song, like everyone thought.. but then put it again as a break-up song, like how it really was. I lived this movie, especially since they didnt play around with their relationship. Its funny how me and my bf said Gabriel went from looking like Dante, to Vergil in five seconds.. with the hair X,,D
Honestly, Gabriel and adrien had so little development in the movie to make the end feel impactful to me.
No honestly, if the movie was to be apart from the series then it gave us not a lot reasons for growth. What got me was when Adrien finally snaps at Gabriel
@@Quartz2.1Adrien snapping at Gabriel ultimately failed as there is no build up for it. It's just a weird random moment
he did tho imo
Gabriel had more of a soul and character in the movie than in the show tho, not wanting to spoil but did you watch the S5 finale yet?
@@xeyll7722 What? what do you mean there was no build up?
Bro watched so much Miraculous that doesn't know basic storytelling
I really want Alya to become Rena Rouge in the next movie (like in the show). Also would love to get more of the class in the future movies.
I'm sure that will happen in the second and third one
Same!
THE WAY ZAMBER IMMEDIATELY SAYS "no..." WHEN THE RAP PART STARTS HAPPENING SHE WAS SO REAL FOR THAT LMAO
Lol we are all fangirling with the seconds we get to see a Luka cameo. That was me the entire time watching the movie 😂
he definitely will get the snake miraculous in the second or third one
i was literally pausing the movie every time i saw him, my brother thought i was really weird because i was staring at luka 😭😭
I Loved it, it was a bit hard to ignore the singing Voice was so drastically different,
But Even though i was BEGGING like halfway through for them to end up together at the end, even thought in the show it usually didnt end well but this is a movie it different i dont care look how cute they are together- but like;
i wasn't expecting it to Actually Happen, the whole time i couldnt believe it and something felt wrong like PTSD because of what the show put me through XD
and when Hawkmoth just GAVE UP when he saw it was Adrien i was like Oh FR??? On God???? ...Just like that???
like if only it were that simple in the show, but theyve literally DONE it in the show and Gabriel just didnt care or used it to his advantage so it's nice to see him have a heart i guess
I am obsessed with this movie. The series hurt my heart. This is a messy movie but it’s still very healing.
Same here. I think I like this movie better than the show
My main problems with the movie:
1. Plagg wasn't even introduced until way later (and he was introduced by farting?)
Your second reason doesn't make much sense, just pay more attention to the details 💀
@@akdami1 What details? Everything they said are perfectly valid
Ikr,If this movie was an 1 season show, with us having enough time to see more caracter growth from Nino, alya, chleo, Sabrina, adrien, Marinette, Gabriel and Natalie, also some more dynamics and caracters development
It would have been perfect, maybe and not a so rush final, like the whole movie just slower in 1 season it could have been the best thing ever
The movie is in the right direction
It's just the story isn't exactly made for an 1 hour and 40 minutes movie
I wish we could have seen Marinette getting confident(not alr being after the montages)
Gabriel losing it
Adrien maybe not coming home more nights, and talking back to his back, maybe some interesting dynamics
More of Natalie and what she thinks
More Nino and adrien, Marinette and alya dynamics
And Chleo getting to respect Marinette
Maybe seeing master fu or nooro giving us more info
Explaining powers
More tikki and Marinette, adrien and plagg
It would have been perfect
(The movie is good tbh)
This is what the show shoudl have been😭😭😭
It would have been amazing
Your 2nd complain doesn't make sense. As you can see, miraculouses chose their owners themselves, basically Tikki chose Marinette and Plagg chose Adrien
@@wazowski6602 ye, true
I feel like the only one who didn't mind the transition between Lou's and Cristina's voices and was in LOVE with Lou's singing voice, I feel lonely 😢/lh
you are not alone! i feel the same 😢
Me too! Sure it was kinda odd and I would have liked to hear Cristina sing but Lou's voice is beautiful!
you're not alone, i think so too! for some reason it absolutely not bothered me
The movie has both good and bad. The bad often lies in the vein of “tell don’t show”, as well as the transitions between scenes as you mentioned. The good parts lie in developing more of the relationship between Adrian his situation at home, as well as other more minute details. Not to mention the flawless animation and amazing songs
P.S. I’m a little disappointed that the singers don’t try to match the voices of their VA counterparts, and the completely ruined Plagg
ZAMBER WILL LITERALLY LAUGHE AT THIS AND HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME 😂
One thing that’s really interesting to me actually about the movie is that it seems like there is a general mix of reactions from the general public lol fans or not.
Most evil acts in the world:
3) Placing a cup down without a coaster
2) Murder
1) Cutting off the film just as Marinette and Adrian are about to kiss
the different voice acting isn’t a direction thing at all!lol it’s just the voice actors using their normal voice instead the voice they use when the become their characters
love this move. can't wait for the second and third one to come out.
me too
I feel like Emilie's voice as Gabriel did fashion work still would've been too heavy handed.
This moment brought all of that back for me
34:35- Yeah, the movie begins at the start of the school year and it ends in December so we're looking at about a 3-4 month time frame.
Honestly, I really liked the reveal at the end of the movie as well as the way that Gabriel just fell apart when he realized he'd been fighting his son. He's just a super broken father and I feel that's a more realistic reaction. I had my issues with the movie but that just really stuck with me.
I know that watching Zamber reacting to the movie will be amazing, but i thought that we will see her watching Revelation (5x20) which is an amazing episode
thats next week
Tbh I thought ppl would've told her to watch the rest of S5 first before watching the movie neither the less I'm excited
@@Neo-Queenserenityt2lI’m shocked people are watching this before finishing the season. The movie is so much better after the S5 finale lol
I think the reason there was no lucky charm is because fans didn't really like it considering it was like an instant win type of thing
The lucky charm stuff is after Hawkmoth got powerful. He got defeated while still being Hawkmoth
Lucky Charm was pretty stupid imo
@@ladypool1404or the fact that cat noir didn't get an transformation animation😭😭😭😭😭
I am telling you, this movie needed more screen time, the story is for a movie but for an show
We needed more caracter growth and dynamics to feel like they were complete
We needed more screen time
Have a miraculous day
You too
You both have a miraculous day
Courage in Me is probably my favorite song. The video is also freaking wonderful. I feel like every time I watch it, it feels stronger.
F A C T S
You couldn't have explained it better. I hate the movie and this sums up most of the reasons of why I do
Explained brilliantly
OMG THANK YOU! FINALLY SOMEONE SAID WHAT HAD TO BE SAID!
20:00 I really LOVE villain songs too! I screamed of happiness when I saw the movie!
I think the part where Cat Noir LITERALLY *GRABS* A BULLET is kinda glossed over...
Criticisms and complaints aside, yeah dude caught a invincible bullet, and was able to rush to ladybug like the flash from his bedroom window.
Through the entire film, every time I see Hawk Moth/Gabriel Agreste, I was chanting “Sing a song! Sing a song!”
Everything wrong with the movie:
• There was practically ZERO Adrienette.
• They never explained that they couldn't reveal their identities and why
•The movie is too short to add so many songs AND tell this huge story from start to finish. (It needed at least more 30 minutes)
• Ladynoir had limited and forced development before "Stronger Together"
•The song "Reaching Out" was irrelevant to the specific scene and plot, and it was the FOURTH song about Marinette believing in herself (there were seven).
• Random, Lazy Dialogues between the characters
• They never explained WHY it would be bad to make the ultimate wish to bring Adrien's mom back (that made them look like the bad guys lol)
• Chloe kept talking about Adrien but they never interacted, so it was unclear if they even knew each other.
• Lacked the flirting of Ladynoir (not passive aggressive bickering), and the Friendliness of Adrienette.
• "My Lady" and "Bugaboo" (FAR better than "Watermelon" and "Sidekick")
• The final Kiss was cut off, as if the movie hadn't been disappointing enough.
Let's demand an Extended Director's Cut...
I am with you
yeaaahh… they added too much songs 😞😭

Pros and cons for me about the movie:
PROS:
Gorgeous animation
Really liked how the Kwamis have more independence to choose their holders, it makes Fu look less of a incompetent, and also i really like Fu in general in this movie, he has a bit more of a personality and he's pretty fun
Liked movie Marinette, she seems to be more of an actual human being and doesn't have her creepy tendencies
Liked Adrien too, he has a bit of a different personality, but I actually like angsty Adrien, and also how much Cat Noir seems to exist as an equal to Ladybug
Really loved Ladynoir, even more than i like then in the show
Really liked how Gabriel was in the movie, we even saw a bit of him in his job as a designer (SOMETHING WE NEVER SEE IN THE SHOW), he felt lot more "pathetic" in a way, he is still cold and distant from Adrien but not in a "'I'll forbid you to leave this house" type of way, but more in a "I hate myself too much to actually talk to my son, he doesn't deserve me and should have his mother"
Like, when Adrien screams at him bro was helpless, if it was Gabriel from the Show he would have been like "HOW DARE YOU"
Liked how Sabrine was less of a evil minion in the movie, i actually can feel bad for her, Sabrina in the show had many moments where she was actually ENJOYING being evil
Great music
OH MY GOD GABRIEL HAS A HEART
CONS:
Kinda missed a bit of unhinged Marinette, we saw her a bit like that but still, i understand why tho, she was in half of the movie in her "origins" personality
Kinda missed a bit of sunshine Adrien, but i get it why, guy lost his mom
Some music felt missplaced
Missed Christina Vee singing
Wanted the movie to be longe, felt rushed
So you miss stalker Marinette? Weirdo.
I do NOT miss Marinettes creepy ass stalker behavior at all
@@nevaehhamilton3493No wtf

Tbh, this story isn’t a strong edition of the show. Like what’s the point of making this if it doesn't have an amazingly strong storyline? Animation is gorgeous but we’ve come so far in animation that every movie is pretty nowadays. Visuals can’t carry a movie unless it’s something exceptional like Spiderverse. (Which I think the story is just as great)
Yeah I understand the pacing being rushed a bit & not seeing much of Adrien in it too
I mean the purpose of the movie was just a simple retelling, or even just like an updated hour and a half version of the show condensed. it isn’t meant to have over the top 100% amazing storytelling quality

I also want to add that before seeing it with my friends in the theatre I did not know it was a musical. When Marinette stepped into the street and started singing... that was a moment
Edit: I want to be clear.

At the start that Mari voice caught me of guard the first song
I think while it has its flaws the movie was extremely great!

I feel like Marinette’s singing didn’t match the character and plag was always just farting I was expecting plag to be more funny and energetic but over all I loved the movie especially the end!
15:46 that IS careless whisper lol, they licensed it i think
I think _one of_ my only big gripes in this movie is the clear difference between some singing voices compared to speaking voices. They couldve tried harder to find similar voices or made the VAs train in singing.
Also the lyrics in Chat Noirs' song to Ladybug are different... I wont lie, the French version is alot more romantic ;;
I had the same reaction to seeing Luka! 😂
I think Gabriel started to lose his sanity after season 3

Same, I was so confused, since me and my friend waited through all the credits
This might be a hot take, but, though brilliantly animated, I feel like the art made everybody a little *too* cute. Idk why. That's just how I feel
Totally agree as well. The series designs while not the prettiest, are pleasing to look at in proportions. But if in the show their eyes were already big, in this movie they look like 10 year olds

I was talking about the clip right before my talk that the speaking voiced dialogue sounds different from each break of dialogue. • We actually got Reveals that weren’t illusions or f***ed up by time travel crap.
