I had no idea Romanian was such a beautiful language. Also, everybody seemed SO friendly. You've made me wanna learn it so badly so...I'll need more videos!
Check out Zdob [shi] Zdub if you think you might want to learn. They're a music group from Moldova and they have lots of videos up on RUclips. Interestingly, they've put out a lot of bilingual versions of their songs also, namely in Russian as well as Romanian. So, if you happen to know Russian, that could be helpful!

@@szymonxxx5646 You're not wrong, Romanian is really Latin with Slavic influence, but the point is I just know about that but never saw some real examples of the latter, I thought maybe you could point out some ones in this video in case you see them 'cause I don't but I'm interested.
Szymon xxx, czy masz jakieś przykłady podobieństwa rumuńskiego do polskiego? Ja mieszkam w Rumunii od kilku miesięcy, i uważam że niektóre słowa są podobne do języku bułgarskiego, ukraińskiego lub rosyjskiego. (napr. bogat, slab, odihni, razboi, morcov etc.) Niestety nie znam w ogóle serbskiego, bo prawdopodobnie też ma relacje.

Limba romana e limba mea preferata :) ma bucur ca acum este si Easy Romanian pentru ca imi da sansa sa ameliorez cunostiintele mele de limba asta frumoasa pe care-o iubesc foarte mult!
În loc de "ameliorez" folosește " îmbunătățesc" sună mai natural în românește
E bine și "ameliorez" ! E foarte corect ! Chiar vorbești excelent românește ! Felicitări ! 😊

I've started learning Romanian a few weeks ago and seeing this video be uploaded was amazing news for me. Easy languages has greatly helped me to learn German and I hope these videos keep being uploaded, so I can have access to this great tool to learn Romanian as well. Wonderful language, by the way.

the nord-est population of Romanian are speaking a "moldavian dialect" and you often are confusing them with Italians

Makes sence. It does indeed have many influences from the Slavic languages (and a few borrowings from Turkish). And obviously, being a sister of Italian, developed from vulgar Latin.

The accent reminds me of European portuguese
I like the language. I speak Spanish, Catalan and French apart from English and German as my mother tongue. At a spokwn level I only understand words and a few sentences. Following the subtitles I get considerably more but a lot is completely different, probably due to Slavic influence. I do like the sound of it.
romanian is more 'romance sounding' than i thought. I thought it was more like portugese (with more sibilants and reduced vowels due to the slavic influence)

@@rw8793 that is false. The syllables reduced due to natural reasons. For example, hundreds of years ago, every masculin and neuter noun would end in "u" (like the italian "o" at the end of some words). It disappeared from the language, that is why the words sounds reduced.

The rhythm …It reminds me of Portuguese
Fluent Italian here, it does remind me of sounding like some of all the other Romance languages together, with Slavic sounds and cadence sprinkled throughout. ❤ Makes me think about the Central European location where Latin would’ve first been spoken, and then its extension brought by soldiers spread out from there across Europe around it - so that the nasal sounds and Latin cases seemed to end up in the peripheral Vulgar Latin-speaking zones, eg the nasal sounds in today’s present-day Portugal and France, and today’s Romanian with its continued cases system in present-day Romania. 👍

Hi, Gia ! I just started learning Romanian and I’ve seen your channel Romanian with Gia !
I think I understand half of the content just by reading the Romanian subtitles. I speak intermediate French.
Right now I'm learning more Latin, but I speak Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Italian with some Russian, so I understand a lot of Romanian. Still, there are a lot of Turkish and southern Slavic influences, and this makes it a more difficult Romance language to learn. O Romeno é uma língua muito formosa! 'Bela' would be used more often than 'formosa' in Portuguese, but 'formoso/a' shows more Latin roots. Romeneşte e o limba foarte frumoaşa!

Romanian is a Romance language just like Spanish, Italian and French.
That is what some people say, but I, as a native Spanish speaker can understand just few words...

Not at all. Romanian is an ancient, independently formed language. No mix of anything.
Because other languages have Romanian words in them , but they do not know ! 😊

It's like Romanian wanted to make a latin alphabet but avoid the inonsistencies of English, so they went to the "Combining Diacritic Marks" section of Unicode and said "Those, please"

Interesting you say this because Romania was under Ottoman empire for 400 years and alot of words we have in Romanian are Turkish words.... like ciorba, ciorapi, cioban, belea, bakshish these are all Turkish words but we use them in Romanian
