It's like you have been in my brain, took a look, and can explain to me what is happening! I love books😍 Going in to a bookstore and touch them, read the back, take a peek inside is so... comforting? And now I know why.
I have both ADHD and dyslexia, so I can totally relate. I have a really hard time just reading with my eyes. I rely on audiobooks so much either by themselves or following along with the physical. I've developed a few stratagies to help me finish books. I always have 3-10 current reads going. I allow myself to read multiple books at a time because my interest will fluctuate. So for example, I'm reading Book A. But after 100 pages, I get bored with it. I pick up Book B. When I get bored with that, I go to Book C. When I get bored again, I will cycle back to Book A, then Book C again. I give myself the freedom to read multiple books at a time so I don't have to completely DNF a book if I get bored. If I'm bored of a book or it's just not the right time or whatever, but I still want to finish, I'll put the book back on my TBR list, but give it a "paused" tag on StoryGraph. This may not work for everyone, but it helps me finish books more often.
That actually makes so much sense! I always feel bad trying to read more than two books at once because there have been times where I’ve completely forgotten about a book trying to do that. But truth be told if that happens I probably wasn’t that interested to begin with.
@@LauraRenTaler that's why I always try to keep my Storygraph updated with what books I'm currently reading. So I look at it every once in a while to see if I'm forgetting anything. If I am forgetting one, I can decide whether to pick it back up, pause it, or DNF it
I felt like this video was talking about me amazing video 👍🏽 very unique I haven’t really seen a video cover this and after watching this video maybe it should of been tackled by the booktube community sooner

I’m so bad at keeping StoryGraph updated, but this definitely my sign to start 😅
