Thank you for the tour very interesting , I just bought Revox A77 Plays fast forward and rewind but when I try play back the pincher roller engages but nothing moves , where should I start looking . thanks

I will get back to you on that one, but it does sound like one of the relays on the control board is sticking or loose.

does the capstan motor run

Check the large motor run capacitor.
