Now that's how to do a perfect instructional video - outstanding commentary and camerawork. No skips and every last detail and fastener described. Brilliant.
The only tiny thing I'd suggest is not to put the undertray on until last -just in case there are any leaks!

The main mistake is in tne procedure of coolant level pumping. You should not to start engine, there are special program in electronic water pump (key in pos. 2 , climate control - 32+, blower - min, all caps ( radiator and little - closed (but you should check coolant level ), then hold acceleration pedal more than 10 seconds on max position, after that this program will start and will be aprox 12 minutes.

I have been working on BMWs since the day I bought my first car, '71 2002, in July '73. Was also a BMW mechanic in the 70's. You folks have the best videos. I will be taking the radiator out of my 2007 X3 as part of following your video on replacing the thermostat. I already have the leaking expansion tank out. Not much more work to take the radiator out to improve access and limit profanity. A thermostat used to be a 5 min job. Thanks!!

Excellent video! It shows everything precisely. I have a question for you. I have a leaky upper radiator hose and I want to replace it without draining the entire system. Can I do a manual suction out of the expansion tank to get enough coolant out of the system to empty the upper hose so that I can remove it without making a big mess?

If this has the electric water pump, there's a different "burping" sequence to follow.
