This limited edition of 1,500 timepieces commemorates the 20th anniversary of Grand Seiko's original Spring Drive movement, Caliber 9R, crafted in 2004.
Drawing inspiration from a vibrant sunrise casting its glow on the rugged terrain of Japan's Hotaka mountain range during summer, the Sport Collection GMT showcases a captivating dark red dial. As with all Grand Seiko GMT watches, it offers seamless usability with its independent local hour hand, allowing for precise time adjustments while the watch remains in motion. Agree on the GMT bezel; I’d rather have it compact & tidy like this ; no desire to force a belt-and-suspenders treatment to emulate a dive watch

It's only $6,200. You can't expect a clear case back for that low a price tag

@@user-ln3ch7hy1x LOL, I have many watch’s far less expensive then This Watch and they have Clear Facebacks. The reason it’s A closed is because of the limited Production of this model and its Stamped on Back of this “almost Perfect Watch”. I picked it up yesterday and it’s Stunning in person.

@@user-ln3ch7hy1x I have a clear back on my £1000, Hamilton and my £5800 Shunbun. and my £600 Alpinist. The two "Dive" watches I have is this one and a Seiko dive watch both with close casebacks. I suspect it is more to do with the water resistance than cost
