No, you don't have to buy anything. Regardless, the cheapest ones start at €4000 - in kraut area. If you otherwise insist on buying locally, there is no reason to bitch and whine about the inflated prices.
Can you do a affordable track car video? Because I'm not really into drifting (although I can appreciate the handling skills needed) The omega and the sierra where also built as AWD. Great video as always! Keep it up!

I think the omega looks great! And they all come with an LSD as standard in the manuals. Mine’s a 2.0 with only 136 and it slides better than most stock BMWs under $6k
volvo 240, 740, 940? super reliable, later cars with the 13mm rods in the b230f can take buckets of hp, piston oil squirter in later b230s, long wheelbase makes them easy to get sideways and control, turbo cars had a g80 locking rear, good low end torque, cheap parts, a half decent running example will cost you around $700- $1500 USD, and stock they get around 45 degrees of steering angle. The biggest issue is the relatively weak transmissions, they'll hold if you don't put too much power through them and treat them properly but a t5 transmission out of a 5.0 Mustang only needs minor modification to the transmission crossmember and an adapter to bolt right in.
Dude, the S13 is not a cheap car. Old cars with V8's are easily the best bang for buck drift cars. In Australia we have Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons that are cheap, powerful, very affordable and PLENTY of parts. You can literally buy an old 5L V8 commodore for a few hundred dollars or a more modern LS1 commodore for just a few thousand.
A Vong it depends on where you live. Old cars with big engines are so rare in Europe and yet so expensive. You should also think about starting your drifting adventures with some Russian or Polish cars - like soviet Lada (with an engine swap) or the Polish FSO Polonez with 1.4 liter engine (it has 105HP, but you can also swap it with MG ZR 1.8 liter 160HP engine)
People are selling S13, R32, R33's with mods for like $4-6k (turbo models not just NA ones), less if you buy a rolling shell and put an engine in yourself, if you can't afford that you can't afford a drift car, your sub $1k falcon or commodore +mods is also going to be a shit drift car compared to even a stock S13.
I'm V8 swapping a prius. Not just saying that either. I have serious plans to buy a 2nd gen prius, gut it, and mid mount a V8. I already have the 5.7 litre GM engine out of a truck, which will go where the back seats were with a firewall welded in front. Still figuring out air intake and cooling without ridiculous vents on the body.
+VisioRacer It's not real tax by any mean! Just some expression for the price increase of the mainstream drift cars (S13 for example, the prices skyrocketed after drifting became popular).
It's the inflation on a car due to drift popularity. Also called "scene tax" where you use to be able to buy something relatively cheap but the "scene" drives up the price for no reason. For example, where i live, Subaru's are really expensive. You can't get a WRX for less than $10,000 US regardless of the year unless its been in a ditch or close to 300k miles. Even then it would only be $7500. But if i visit my family in another state you can find the same exact car for $5000 in great condition because there isn't that scene tax. And the reason i say mini trucks is because examples like a Nissan hardbody sometimes come with a variant of a KA24+5 speed which is shared with some 240sx (american version of a 180sx), Toyota pickups/tacomas/hilux' come with a 22re which is the same engine family as what the rwd celicas had and some old Mazda trucks even came with rotaries.
Not entirely for some maybe the s13 only slightly in europe but the Omega, e36 and I would still recommend the e46 BMW and Lexus can all be picked up for very cheap in Europe and it all comes down to how much you want to repair starting off. 6 seconds in and you already have faulty info. A drift car with very little rear traction will run you straight into a wall. In order to do that reliably, you need decent traction. Not "as little [...] as possible". You're gonna kill someone dude.
spicy boye I hope you know these cars he are talking about have power figures as low as 100. And if you are a skilled drifter, you can manage little rear traction
The CA18 is actually a good engine, and more reliable than SRs, although they dont output as much HP when modded compared to an SR20. They are dubbed 'Mini RBs' as they are legitimately hard to kill (like an RB20).
I think the omega is the best option. My dad has had 7 and has currently got 3, all 3.2 V6's (They go up to 3.2 not 3.0) with the cheapest one costing £250 and being the top spec model (Elite). They are super comfortable and great powerhouses, the only downside is that they are mostly all automatic, buts that's understandable with a luxury car like the omega.
Ford Crown Victorias and Mercury grand Marquis are also excellent options. They are extremely reliable, easy to find parts for, and are dirt cheap. RWD with a high torque v8. does not have to be a police option. Just weld the diff and you have yourself a dirt cheap drift car. Plus nobody would ever expect a four-door grandpa car to be sliding around like a JDM
Ever heard of Volvo 740 or 940? Really cheap, just weld the diff and you are ready to go! Easy and still kinda cheap to uppgrade to get more power and Lots of parts if anything will break.
FUN FACT: In Czech Republic and I guess also in Slovakia and a lot other countries with strict inspections and no options of engine swap whatsoever, you can buy 323i (also a 2,5l inline 6 but with a bit less power) and you can swap 325i engine and noone will ever notice. That means more power with cheaper insurance and stuff like that.
Big thumbs up for the Sierra! Definetly the cheapest one from the list by far! Actually had one, great fun with it's unique 125hp, 2.0 DOHC 8-valve engine, and dirt cheap to run and maintain 👍👍
Hey, an Omega with a diesel is a great car! At least mine. ;) Haven't properly drifted it *yet*, but I took it for a 5 hour driving practice/time attack on a track and the 150hp, 300 Nm 2.5 DTI (a BMW engine, codename M57) gave me tons of fun; when the (standard, I think) turbo kicks in fully at 3.000 RPM it really FEELS fast, although, having 10,5 sec 0-100 [km/] it probably isn't. And the engine sounds reeeeally nice (for a diesel) - it's a straight-six🖤🖤, and I know you can tune up the power output, although I don't know what the reasonable limit is. Yet.
Did anyone else notice that visioracer focused on cars avaible in Europe and USA? Do you know why? Because in Japan when you want to drift you just take your fathers tofu AE86 and go to mountains
I don't normally do this, however, this video has a significant omission. The Volvo 240 and 700/900 cars are very cheap (my current 740 was $200 CAD) and even the non-turbo automatic models can be made to drift easily with just a diff weldup....Ok, rant over :)
rudkacka Ford 2.8 v6 is OHV engine. Cosworth engines were DOHC 2l turbo. 2 years ago I webt to Ford gathering on Ada Huja, and we could drive on go-cart track. My time was about 56s and there was only one more Sierra and it went just 2s faster. He had power steering, ABS, and slick low profile summer tires. I had very narrow all season tires, soft suspension and heavy second gear (worn syncro). Basicly stock 27 year old car. So it is either I was good driver or 2.8V6 is not a lot faster.
Miata Is Always The Aswer Just kinning, if you want a drift car to begin, a Volvo 240, or The lexus IS300 (if i'm not wrong) can be a great choice, too
Im from Dominican Republic, I certainly love all the stuff you expose in your channel, but seriously, narration and the accent makes it a bit uncomfortable to watch... The old format is better, the only noises were the car noises, and if I missed something I just pause the video, read completely, and continue watching. Best of lucks with this channel! Great job!
Volvo 240/740/940 turbos. Front engine rwd with lsd and a 5 speed for much less than most on this list. Some even came with forged internals and sodium filled valves...
Actual list of cars for entry level drift is highly dependable on your location. In Europe Volvo is very popular (cos its cheap as hell) while in Russia - Lada is king of the hill.
love the narration, VisioRacer. any guy can type a list of facts on top of car videos, but when i hear your voice i know exactly what channel I'm watching and I look forward to your opinions on these vehicles from around the world.
Old Mercedes Benz diesels are handling more than well heavy turbo charging because they are entierly made of cast iron, to be more precize the block and the cylinder head, so big boost won't make them crack. The best example for this is Miko Peltola's Black Smoke named W123 300TD with a Scania turbo on it. If you'll check it on RUclips you'll find a video in which he is talking about the modifications and when he is mentioning the engine's one's he is only saying that a big ass turbo was fitted on it, nothing more and nothing less. The same guy made a series on he's channel in which he is building a E190 2.5 turbo diesel for drifting, so if you're having a pre 2000 Merc diesel than you could easily do the same thing without even loosing its reliability. The post 2000 diesels were replaced with a CDI unit which can't be costumized like its predecessor because its alloy block, common rail system with electronic fuel injection and other sophisticated technology is not making it possible.
4:00 E36 323i has the cast iron block (M50) and it produces 170hp stock (easy to get +/- 190hp). 325i has aluminium block (M52). M50s are monsters impossible to kill :D
Yea i get you cheap is cheap but my point is that might be a wasted $600 as if its been forced to run like that for some period it might just mean a new engine in total. Personally unless I goes when in my possession I never touch a car with one because you never know how far the previous owner pushed it. So you're braver than me.
S13 lol cheap drift car my ass maybe when this video came out the entry drift cars 350z and mjata are now getting out of reach unless your a youtuner or got moneh 210k miles automatic rebuilt ttiel 350z with ten diff colors and missing panels is 10k min 12k
What about Mark 3 Supras and FC RX7s? I know both have sort of difficult engines, but they are both very cheap and there are a lot of them out there. Also these days a 350Z isn't out of reach anymore.
E36 might be the best overall choice considering how popular it is and how much aftermarket parts there are out there. Getting one to ~350hp is doable without spending limbs.
"As little traction at the back as possible"... Actually this is a common misconception. Sure when you are first starting out, it'll help with initiating a drift and controlling a loose car. But when you advance in skill and get faster, you're going to want more grip to hold your speed [sideways] through the corner. Also, the more power your car has, the more grip you're going to need to put that power down or you'll just spin out in circles all the time.
you put a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth as the cover picture and don't include it in the list? Can't say it comes under the same category as the normal sapphire as the price is not anywhere near the same.
The Opel Omega B Mk1 is my dreamcar! I really want to own one, with a 3.0 MV6 Engine. But the Opel Omega A is really good too. The 3.0 Inline-6 engine variant is can produce +500-600HP with a big single turbo (and with another modications of course)
I would also like to suggest the 3rd gen Firebirds and Camaros, basically the GM alternative to the Mustang. Millions of parts, super cheap, and about 210 hp from the 305 in the later years
VisioRacer Keep practicing! Your terminology and slang are very good. The people who bash you are most likely just uneducated Americans...being fluent in multiple languages is a good thing :)
David C perhaps you are right. i might be confusing it with other models. i remember being just as gutless as the others. But the sapphire was good fun.
Yeah, good luck getting S13 that runs under 5k.

That means more power with cheaper insurance and stuff like that.
one of the best videos ever. i like budged cars and drift an e 36. man u did an awesome guide for us low money drifters. love u ..
Big thumbs up for the Sierra! Definetly the cheapest one from the list by far! Actually had one, great fun with it's unique 125hp, 2.0 DOHC 8-valve engine, and dirt cheap to run and maintain 👍👍
the videos are getting better, so is your pronunciation. going strong mate! up to the 1 million subscriber mark!
Whoa, that's a long way to go, but thanks!
you'll get there! no worries!
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I would suggest introducing the car briefly and then providing the technical specs in text so that we can listen to the sound of the engines :)
2:42 az Zalaegerszegen van :D
I have a 2000 Mazda Miata in perfect condition just chilling in my garage. Is that A good drift car? Because I really wanna turn it into one.
early congrats on 200k!
It's close, yes. Thank you!
You also forgot that since the S13 has such a large engine bay, it's great for engine swaps!
Cool, then
I don't normally do this, however, this video has a significant omission. The Volvo 240 and 700/900 cars are very cheap (my current 740 was $200 CAD) and even the non-turbo automatic models can be made to drift easily with just a diff weldup....Ok, rant over :)
0:56 lithuania!
My grandad has Sierra 1.8 and I am having so much fun these days.
Btw the newer Scorpio is a longer Sierra with same or newer engines
TheAwesome 80s My friend has Scorpio. It is more like luxury Sierra. Most of parts fit.
well yeah but you can drift with the scorpio too :D
and scorpio came with a cosworth V6
rudkacka Ford 2.8 v6 is OHV engine.

Just kinning, if you want a drift car to begin, a Volvo 240, or The lexus IS300 (if i'm not wrong) can be a great choice, too
congrats 200k subs!!
Thank you!
I was thinking about Opel in the last time, maybe a Omega A with 3.0 24V, but hard to find as sedan, manual. acceptable mileage/condition AND cheap
I'm liking the new style of videos. Keep up the good work.
Awesome
When I saw the drone chasing the Mustang, I 100% thought it was an Eagle
4:03 Why is Slim Shady drifting😂
Im from Dominican Republic, I certainly love all the stuff you expose in your channel, but seriously, narration and the accent makes it a bit uncomfortable to watch... The old format is better, the only noises were the car noises, and if I missed something I just pause the video, read completely, and continue watching. Best of lucks with this channel! Great job!
Volvo 240/740/940 turbos. Front engine rwd with lsd and a 5 speed for much less than most on this list. Some even came with forged internals and sodium filled valves...
Shhhh i plan on buying one of those soon, don't get people buying them or they'll get a drift tax too.
volvos "5-speed" , all jokes aside 740 2.3t is bang for budged
DuBstep115 And you can slap a 16v head and a 2.5 stroker crank from a boat. There's a few redblocks pushing 1000hp.
That's pleasing to hear, mate. Thank you for your comment!
i like hearing different accents when watching stuff.
Díky za další pěkně zpracovaný video ;-) Omegou jsem jel a nejen jako levný driftcar bych ji rád řídil
Ďakujem pekne. Držím palce!
Yes! Yes! I love that VisoRacer decided to have text (Like in his normai videos) and voiceover. I like that, keep it up!
Great you like it, I will carry on
Old Mercedes Benz diesels are handling more than well heavy turbo charging because they are entierly made of cast iron, to be more precize the block and the cylinder head, so big boost won't make them crack.

E36 323i has the cast iron block (M50) and it produces 170hp stock (easy to get +/- 190hp). 325i has aluminium block (M52). M50s are monsters impossible to kill :D
volvo 740!!
Luisupulkka joo mutta dritaamisesta se on kaukana sillä laivalla
Sick video,I have a 2001 Lexus is300 with a 2jz -ge engine and it has 215bhp ,awesome car to drift around with
I got myself a 318ti that will be my daily drifter after I fix the headgasket
Fatmandoobius Cheapest BMW I could find in the Chicago area. Rollers usually go for around $1000+ & I got this one for $600
Yea i get you cheap is cheap but my point is that might be a wasted $600 as if its been forced to run like that for some period it might just mean a new engine in total. Personally unless I goes when in my possession I never touch a car with one because you never know how far the previous owner pushed it. So you're braver than me.
Fatmandoobius I guess lol, after I fix the head gasket I wana daily it for a while & if the motor just fucks up totally then I'll M50 swap it.
LS swap coming around in 3... 2... 1... lol just kidding
bercholr lol but the thing is keep contemplating doing an LS E46 for the shits n giggles.
S13 lol cheap drift car my ass maybe when this video came out the entry drift cars 350z and mjata are now getting out of reach unless your a youtuner or got moneh 210k miles automatic rebuilt ttiel 350z with ten diff colors and missing panels is 10k min 12k
jesus christ stop talking lmao
Frost Zemun That's a bit too harsh tho:))
Take your advice king of morons and stop shitposting. He is not going to ask you to voice an opinion.

He's not American or British
What about Mark 3 Supras and FC RX7s?
I know both have sort of difficult engines,
but they are both very cheap and there are a lot of them out there.
Also these days a 350Z isn't out of reach anymore.
I really dont like the talking man, and i dont think im the only one
I like him, he's nice and very interested in the subjects he makes videos about.
i liked the text only tbh
Mohamed RACHID i know, but i prefer to read it instead of listening
Well, I prefer listening because I suck at reading. My brain reads very slowly so it's easier for me to listen. :-/
then practice at it bro i mean practice makes perfect
E36 might be the best overall choice considering how popular it is and how much aftermarket parts there are out there. Getting one to ~350hp is doable without spending limbs.
please dont talk. the text was perfect before. no offence at all intended
Being a owner of mercedes 190
Watching a video about cheap drift cars
Seeing mercedes 190
Well shit i have a drift car
"As little traction at the back as possible"... Actually this is a common misconception. Sure when you are first starting out, it'll help with initiating a drift and controlling a loose car. But when you advance in skill and get faster, you're going to want more grip to hold your speed [sideways] through the corner. Also, the more power your car has, the more grip you're going to need to put that power down or you'll just spin out in circles all the time.
you put a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth as the cover picture and don't include it in the list? Can't say it comes under the same category as the normal sapphire as the price is not anywhere near the same.
If you're in the US, just get a 1995-2004 mustang GT. They're cheap, common, and reliable. The only downside is that its, well, a mustang.
Your commentaries are improving as well as your English....keep it up!
You sound like my Bulgarian comrade
s13 are far from cheap in europe people here overprice the shit out of modified ones
that outro song, i remember hearing it in other vids though. I didn’t notice it was a version sh-boom
Visio Racer the Mercedes Benz 500e is a great car to drift?
I really like your videos! Keep it going.
I love beater cars!
I've owned 2 sierras, miss them so much!
im thinking of getting a 1986 hatch sierra as my first car, or an escort from the 80s aswell
Im sad that nearly all cars today are *Fuck Wheel Drive*
I know it's automatic, but the Ford Crown Victoria. Super cheap and easy to make power.
I would also like to suggest the 3rd gen Firebirds and Camaros, basically the GM alternative to the Mustang. Millions of parts, super cheap, and about 210 hp from the 305 in the later years
I love the new videos! Both with and without text but talking is the way to go. Great vid
Thanks
According to what he said befor the intro, a bicycle is a perfect drift car.
I have noticed small and subtle text boxes were added to complement your rapidly improving English. Hopefully that will silence the whiners ;)
It seems it did a little, but some still cannot get over the fact I speak.
VisioRacer Keep practicing! Your terminology and slang are very good. The people who bash you are most likely just uneducated Americans...being fluent in multiple languages is a good thing :)
Just curious why you picked the 325i over the 325is e36?
Wait there was a RWD Sierra! Sweet. I only saw the FWD / AWD. I do like me the Sapphire.
0x EFEFEF Sierra was never fwd.
David C perhaps you are right. i might be confusing it with other models. i remember being just as gutless as the others. But the sapphire was good fun.
And in America it was called the Merkeur.
Ford Sierra is a modern classic, they are not cheap ?
Remember when 125 horse pwrs was alot?
It’s been 4 years now and most of these cars aren’t cheap or you can’t find anymore
Times change
