I've never claimed I've read the comics.
I'm a fan of the tv show. I've been watching, supporting, and telling everyone I know to watch it - consistently - since I watched the pilot in October 2010.
Stories are my life. I'm reading and watching new things every single day.
I love a lot of things.
I'm sorry I didnt remember the name of the bat introduced to us in the season finale that I watched live months ago.

I am so jealous of your Magnus Chase stuff and the Hamilton mug. I started listening to Hamilton around 5-6 weeks ago, after you had talked about it so much, and it has kinda taken over my life. Revelation: Harry Potter is actually female.
All The Light We Cannot See is just incredible. It starts slow, and slightly confusing, but I promise if you make it 50 pages in you will not be able to stop. BEAUTIFUL writing, fantastic characters. Also, if you're doling out "Not suitable for youngin's" warnings, this one definitely deserves one too. The author pulls no punches with the realities of wartime, and there's some hard hitting, distressing stuff, especially later on. I was shocked, and I could not stop thinking about it.
In other news, I NEED that Ron cushion!
I used to watch your book hauls religiously with a notebook where I'd write down the title, author and then would research the price on book depository or Amazon
Then eventually would buy them all... But now I'm broke 😂
So i just watch these hauls now 😂

All of my British hadcover editions of the Harry Potter books are like that. And in Germany hadcover books often come like that in the first place but without the additional dust jacket (especially children's books e.g. the HP books)

Haha I loved this! The second you held up the Walking Dead box I turned to my husband and said "oh my gosh I bet it's the bat!" I'm not a fan of the show nor the comics, but I have friends and family members that are. So I know things. Lol. Those pillows were so pretty! I love them! I'm sorry you had to deal with people being mean about not knowing the bat's name. I think as long as you enjoy what you have and what you watch and read, that's all that matters. You don't have to know everything the first time you watch it. Have a wonderful day and continue being your gorgeous happy self! Also I hope you feel better! Seconds is such a good graphic novel! you can totally see the resemblance O'Malley makes from the beautiful artwork like in the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World novels :) I hope you enjoy it!
I've just started reading the Percy Jackson books and I'm LOVING them. I didn't like the first one very much, but I liked the second one and I'm about half way through the third and I'm loving it so far!

Christine as far as graphic novels I love chopstick and fun home! Thoroughly recommend both if you're trying to get into it

OOTP is by far the best of the OG UK/Aus covers and I definitely have two copies of it, and yiss, all the original hardcovers are the same underneath

You should totally read The Walking Dead graphic novels! If you think the show is crazy, the comics are even crazier! There's already 26 graphic novels so they'd be great to binge read.

I'm collecting the Harry Potter books too! I'm collecting all of them that I can from Charity Shops (I think goodwill stores are the American equivalent). I have 5 copies of the first book.

About the OotP dust jacket- yeah they all were the same under the dust jacket- which worked out pretty well for 8 year old me who HATED having the dust jackets and subsequently lost them...:')
yep. all the hp covers in the uk were exactly the same as the dust jacket. my entirely series are those editions.

I just got the UK first edition Order of the Phoenix! & the cover blew my mind as well lol So yes I think they were all like that, or at least the ones I got are (so cool). I also got the entire series in the new UK covers. I now have 3 (almost complete)sets of Harry Potter...& obviously now need the illustrated ones as well ☺️
