I'm gonna trust God on this.
in Genesis 1:1, it says, "In the beginning, God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth." Here, the verb "created" is singular, even though "Elohim" is plural in form.
We see this throughout the Scripture that Elohim which is plural for God, is always accompanied by singular adjectives or verbs.
But there is an exception to this, which actually makes this point hit even harder.
The only time elohim is accompanied by plural adjectives or verbs in the Bible is when it talks about foreign gods, which are indeed multiple.
This alone for me is proof enough that God is more than one. God revealed this from the very beginning yet we still squabble about it.

    • @TodoWasTaken

Eh, I'm with Heiser on this one. I don't think the usage of the term Elohim should be used as proof of the trinity. Elohim can be plural or singular and can also refer to other spirit beings. The necromancer of Endor called the spirit of Samuel "Elohim".
Of course, I do think the trinity is taught in the Hebrew Bible, just not there. IP has a pretty good video on it, and Heiser has done some excellent lectures on it as well.

The claim that the Gospels were corrupted contradicts their own Quran: Surah 6:114-115, Surah 18:27. These say the WORDS of Allah cannot be corrupted. And the claim that there was a completely separate Injil falls apart with one reason and one question. The reason: the Quran refers to the Injil in the present tense, referring to the texts that Christians used in the time of the false prophet. Historical evidence shows they used the same Gospels we have today, and were used long before Islam as well. The question: where is the proof of the existence for the original Injil? Any answer to this question results in either circular reasoning or admitting there is no proof. Mind you, I am NOT asking for an original COPY, I am asking for PROOF of EXISTENCE outside the Quran and Muslim sources to give this claim any non-biased credibility. As there is none, this claim falls flat and sounds like more of an attempt excuse, leaving the only viable conclusion to be that it refers to the Gospels in the Bible, but as the false prophet couldn’t read he couldn’t check his own sources. You also would think the “clear message of Allah” would tell us that there is a specific Gospel or reference it by name to show it isn’t one of the ones in the Bible, short-sighted mistakes from a man-made book.

Well. Christianity is the biggest case of polytheism in denial. Not only worshipping a god in 3 aspects out of which one is a human avatar, but in older traditions also worshipping saints.

But as a Christian do, do we not worship the Trinity? The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit? They are all one person, but they are different. “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Doesn't that Imply that The Son and the Father are different in some way?

Islams love to say that the trinity is not monotheistic without knowing what the trinity is
The trinity is the three different forms of God
The father is God, as a being in heaven
The holy spirit is God, as a soul in our reality
The son is God, as a human

“Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” The consistent theme throughout the book of John is that Jesus reveals God the Father to the world (John 1:18; 9:3; 14:9; 15:15; 17:6, 26). This simple truth demonstrates that Jesus is someone different from God. Many Trinitarians or Oneness believers see equivalence between Jesus and God in the Gospel of John, however, the author seeks to show how Jesus reveals the Father, not how Jesus is the Father. Knowing this helps the reader understand what Jesus means by phrases like, “whoever has seen me has seen the Father,” (John 14:9) and “I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me” (John 14:11). Neither of these phrases states that Jesus is the Father, nor should they be understood that way. Rather, these verses, when properly seen in light of the rest of the Gospel, demonstrate that God was working so powerfully through Jesus and Jesus was demonstrating God’s character so clearly that when one looked at Jesus, it was as if you were looking at the Father.
This concept is not too difficult to grasp, as we use language similar to this in our modern culture. For instance, if a son is displaying a characteristic similar to his father (named Jim), we might say, ‘You’re just like your Dad,’ or, ‘Jim, is that you?’ or, ‘I see your Dad in you.’ No one takes that to mean the son literally is Jim, but that he resembles Jim in some ways. This is how we should understand Jesus’ statements of his similarity with his Father. Jesus never intends to teach that he is his Father, because he sees God his Father as someone different from himself (John 10:29; 14:28; 20:17), and he reveals his Father clearly through his works and teachings (John 14:10).
This phrase in John 14:9 is also very helpful for understanding what Thomas may have meant in John 20:28 when he said to Jesus, “My Lord and my God.” Since Jesus taught Thomas here in John 14:9 that, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father,” this is likely what Thomas was finally realizing in John 20:28. He was not realizing that Jesus was the Father, as Jesus had never taught Thomas that. Jesus taught Thomas that the Father was someone different from himself (John 14:6, 12, 16, 24; etc.). Rather, Thomas was realizing that the Father was “in union with” Jesus (John 14:11), that the Father was working in Jesus (John 14:10), and that Jesus’ words were the Father’s words (John 14:24). So, Thomas was realizing that the Father could be seen in Jesus, and thus could say, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28).

I literally have a photo of a Pentecostal Pastor prostrating before GOD in worship in Twickenham Stadium in London two Saturdays ago in front of 82,000 people. I can't count how many moments of that posture by Christians i have seen either in videos or photos in the llast month alone. Using prostration to define islam is moot.
