The 2016 the Font Awesome 5 Kickstarter raised $1,076,940 with 35,550 backers, making it the most funded and most backed software Kickstarter of all time (and if you haven’t seen the video yet, please take a moment to watch - we genuinely think you’ll get a chuckle out of it).

In 2016, Font Awesome underwent a complete redesign. Font Awesome 5 transformed the popular website-friendly icon resource, modernized and improved the design, consistency, and readability of its icons. The best part? Font Awesome 5 remained completely free to use. Font Awesome version 5 also introduced Font Awesome Pro, a paid version that included even more icons, provided access to new icon category packs, and offered a hassle-free SVG icon framework. It's been a while since then, but we're still going strong and since then have launched the all new Font Awesome 6. Check it out!
