  • My wife says, "Excuses are like belly buttons. Everyone's got 'em and they don't do anything."
The key is to have the courage to face yourself and identify your excuses.
"I don't have the time" equates to "I don't prioritize" in my world.
When you make something a priority, you find the time.
    If not, you make excuses.
Saying you don't have time to:
    - exercise is equivalent to saying you don't care about your health.
    - sleep says you don't care about your performance, personally or professionally.
    - track your macros says you don't care about your physical health and disease risk.
There's a massive difference between stating values and priorities and demonstrating what we value and prioritize.
Either way, you're telling yourself you care about "x y or x" with how much time and energy you give it.
Those things aren't inherently bad per se.
If you value them and they return the value to your life, great.
But your results are a mirror of your commitments.
And if you're unhappy with the results in your life, it's time to raise your standards and do something about it.
P.S. if you're trigged by this post, I am glad. Maybe that'll motivate you to look at yourself and ask why that's so and do something to change it before life does that for you.
