- The Manjhi community in southern Bihar and Sadas in northern Bihar - also called Musahars or rat-eaters - are Mahadalits, among the most downtrodden.
Making up about 22 lakh people in Bihar, as per a 2007 report, they are considered untouchables and are severely disadvantaged and socially excluded. Historically, the community worked as bonded labourers and depended on undecided largesse handed out by landlords.
Their poverty is entrenched, alongside untouchability, landlessness, illiteracy, and malnourishment. Government programmes and initiatives have only gone so far. And with the general elections around the corner, there’s little hope of escape among India’s poorest people.

economics is a ecosystem where nothing can be left away, For example because of temple in ayodhya land prices went up, rent went up, infrastructure of that place developed, rivers got cleaned up,basically lifes of the people there changed for good.

According to a report, a person making 25k a month is in top 10% income makers which is a disturbing thing. 90% people still cant make even 25k a month in 2024 & they live paycheck to paycheck with no savings at all.
Wealth inequality & parity is such a shocking thing in this country.
Just 2% tax on the top 1% of these rich people who have made it by rigged,tax avoidation system will generate enough money to give 3000 monthly for 140 crore people for more than 3 years & that would at least get them out of poverty.

It's about the idea on which election is being fought. Nobody has issue with temple. But why is it an election issue? Why is education, healthcare not central issues in this election or any election for that matter.

@@kkkkkkkk368 bhai Bogibil bridge 1997 se ban Raha tha, Congress ka bas chalta toh aur 10 saal lagata bana ne ke liye. Modi hai isliye complete ho paya itna jaldi, neharlagon wala road under-construction hai. I traveled on that road. 1-2 saal m woh bhi ban jayega.
