He makes it sounds like they are losing money doing bussniess and need federal funding to expand. They put all their profit in their pockets then ask the gov to invest in their business
This guy doesn't understand infrastructure. You can't just "increase trucking space". The loads are already too heavy for the roads, and cause so much damage were in a never ending cycle of construction.
port is so backed up you can walk ship to ship all the way to chy-nah, yet the LA port works 4 days a week. Yeah, more government funding is the answer.
do you realize how polluting the ports are? lots of people in surrounding communities are incredibly sick because of them. so, it's not merely smog regulation. there are other standards the city places upon the cargo carriers. and they are needed.
@@delegate104 exactly where will those containers go? they have to go through the ports of la/long beach. those vessels are not backed up because they haven't meant environmental regulations.
look up the shipping time difference, and you'll see why most loads just go straight to LA from the Pacific. it only makes sense time-wise if the wait at LA is longer than 6 days, let alone money-wise (less fuel, etc.)
1. these ships are getting too large for the pc. some people want to expand the pc. 2. generally, there's no port in the gulf that could actually handle these loads. there's good reason why goods are coming through the ports of long beach/los angeles. they are the biggest and deepest ports in the country. 3. do you homework before asserting pure rubbish.
I'm sure those ports don't need another fucking dime. Better management and organization would probably solve the issues.
More federal funding needed. That is always the claim. Just give us more money and things will improve.
Debt ceiling..... :-)
Yes !

"We need emergency federal money to pay people double to come back to work at a loss to the taxpayer." Why don't you just say it
Hello Gavin, how are you doing?

He needs more money? Shipping ports are known to be Palm-Greasing havens
He said ''Warehouseworkers need to expand their work hours, just like anyone else.'' What is he referring to?
It sounds like he knows nothing about the warehouse workers!
He says there is more jobs in the warehouse sector for sure again at the very last 30 seconds of this ...
you are saying that is not true?
Automation
DOT
port 3 year law
California smog regulations

Go thru the Panama Canal. Keep it on the water by using the Mississippi River to most of the populated areas of the US.

Hello Larry, how are you doing?
Do shipping containers still sail down the Mississippi?

Keep it on the water as long as you can, it’s cheaper that way.
We cant move the inventory we have - what happens when those boats are offloaded?
Hello Frederick, how are you doing
@@amandadan714 oh just living the dream
That is nice to hear
So where are you chatting from
I could unload those ships myself
Hello Frank, how are you doing?
