Personally, I think of Canada as basically US's brother that initially looked up the the US, and imitated him when he got really into cars and suburbs and capitalism, but instead of getting WAY too into it, Canada decided to at least try to have actual good cities and happy people. Definitely generally a good bean, who wants to try and help everyone, but still struggling a bit with his car dependency issues. These days, as much as Canada loves US, I think he looks at him kinda like how we might look at a sibling that was making terrible life choices, like "I love you, but please quit being such a dumbass." As polite as he is to everyone else, he gives US shit, but in a "you need to get yourself together " way rather than a mean way.
I really wish RUclips had a feature where you could just save a small part of a video and listen to it over and over. I would save the part where moony was saying “and his most frequently used vocabulary word is ‘sorry’. His mother is France and his father is Britain, everyone’s favorite power couple who used to experience domestic violence until, like, the 1900’s.” SOLD GOLD RIGHT THERE

For me, Canada is like this person who would protect his family and be there for them in rough times. He also looks up to his eldest sibling, America and would see them more as a sort of father figure than a actual brother, because for me, UK was kinda shitty to him as a child and left him to just be by himself until Australia was born basically. I would also see him still trying to figure himself out and finding things he loves so dear to his heart. His personality mostly comes from France as them both being kind, helpful, polite and honest. He's also trying to bring back his culture of Native Canadian's and trying to become more of a figure to them since he couldn't because of his so shitty past. For me also, I would say that Canada would most likely be a peace keeper than a agreesive type like most of his family and would keep to the side lines from all the fighting and what not. He's also still (kinda) questioning his sexuality and wanting to know more about that (because non of this family is straight and yall ain't stopping me). He also has his bad times too and is mostly a big softie, which makes him more of a wholesome bean. But anyway, I love my Canadian boy sm. :)

Also with the indigenous thing, as a Native American my personal headcanon is that britain kind of forced Canada into most things and then manipulated him into thinking the indigenous and even his brother (Métis) were evil and savages, and then with the residential schools Canada just went “eh, dad gave the Catholic Church some random school, I doubt that’ll be a problem” and then in the 60s he went “Oh sh*t that became a problem” and then took the control of the schools away from the Catholic Church and then tried to slowly phase them out of use without angering anyone. He was very ashamed of everything he had done even though he was manipulated into it so he tried to erase it from history hoping that would make it go away, but it didn’t, and then in September 2020 something awful was found in those schools and he just kind of had a mental breakdown and swore that he would do all in his power to make up for it. He thinks very lowly of himself and has mixed feelings about Britain, but he HAS begin hanging out with his mom (France) and her new wife (Spain) a lot more.

i used to visit canada a lot its a very sweet country, very clean place, very pretty and everyone was indeed very polite and friendly unless you were smoking i would recommend going there especially in spring and summer
