If you keep the cable hooked to the bumper and run the winch for 30 seconds while in free spool, it will loosen the clutch and free things up. I did this and it was much easier to freespool

Kerosene or diesel fuel degreases them as good as anything else?

probably won't hurt anything to try but usually that chem dip will remove anything that's at all susceptible to petroleum type solvents. My guess is that the stuff may be synthetic, or otherwise non-petroleum based.

Any tips for getting winch line Phillips screw out mines stuck trying to change line

I might just cut the head off the screw, then use vice grips to remove what's left. There's nothing special about the screw so finding a replacement would be easy.

So wait.. it seems not a whole lot of grease went back in. But a whole lot came out

I'm not sure if what came out was really very much or if it was just so time consuming to remove because of how sticky it was. Either way, I didn't really grease it based on what came out, I just made sure there was plenty where it was needed.

Ki have same winch winch with same problem! But i am have a problem getting the drum back into the gear box, Is there sometning i'm missing? I am legally blind and miss things

I'm sure you've figured it out by now but if you look at 12:00 into the video you see me reach my fingers into the top of the drum to spin the shaft a bit, while at the same time rotating the drum to get it all to fall into place inside the gearbox. No tricks that I'm aware of, but if that's normally a difficult thing then I may have just gotten lucky, because what you see in the video is all it took for mine to go together.

Корону не нужно смазывать густой смазкой. ATF лучше.
