Ah! When you nocked that arrow I could clearly SEE how much force it took. This 3 minute video is way better than Ravin's soup of warnings and crappy photos that is their manual.

    Great video!
Why my raven r29x cannot be cocked?
When I push the cocking button , it doesn’t click or catch the string

I have the R10 and am very pleased with it. As with all crossbows, problems will arise. My problem, when cocked and inserting arrow, no matter how hard I push the arrow will not clock thus not allowing the arrow to be fired. Several people at camp have tried to push the bolt in and get it to click without success. Therefore I have to insert the bolt into the trigger mechanism to get it to click at the beginning stage of cocking the string back. Keep in mind I’m using Ravin bolts and have been an archer for over 40 years and have approximately 20 shots on this bow and bought it new. Any archers having the same problem? And how did you fix that?

My trigger does not set and click is not heard when arrow is pushed back. The shop replaced my string and they replaced the helicoils as well. String is all the way back and arrow all the way back but not clicking or setting trigger.

Why some arrows just not click back and set no matter how hard I push back the arrows?

What if you keep a crossbow for personal protection? 8 hours might not be enough if you are tired!

Having a crossbow that you can quickly cock with a rope cocker might be your best option. That way the bow is not cocked until you need it. However, If someone comes busting through your door, then rope cocking will probably be not fast enough either. My suggestion: A firearm

What if you are just ignorant mike and still act like that kid in middle school still who has all the what ifs that never mattered. Keep them to yourself an maybe you won’t be so annoying an could it out for real instead of what if..

Bought a brand new R5x and have nothing but problem after problem! Have not wven been able to sight it in on target let alone hunt with it! And Ravin Customer service is absolutely terrible and they don’t care about their customers!!

Just curious what type of problems you were having. I had an R10 but switched to the R5X and in my opinion, it is definitely the best crossbow under $2,000. I hope you got your issues taken care of though. Sucks to get a lemon.

how about; watch a different video Mr. ralph. Raven crossbows are some of the best crossbows out there. Besides, what difference does it make what a person shoots? At least he did a video on this crossbow

Roller "guard"? Aren't you guys supposed to be professionals in the industry? It's a rest. Nothing "guard" about it. Never once heard it called a guard. Take 2.
